I do know that not all phones use the same number PRL. Example, Samsung and LG I believe are using 55019. HTC  uses a different PRL number, as the iphones. I don't have my EVO active any more, but I think it could be 51019 by now.

The M8 should not be receiving 55019 at all, it is not the correct PRL for a tri-band LTE device. The network for some reason is sending you the incorrect PRL at some times. Do you switch back and forth between phones at all? If not, I'd suggest calling into care and having them file a ticket for an incorrect PRL being sent to your device. This is handled on a network scale, and the system may be getting confused by something, others may be having the same issues.

I am also on the Nexus 5 and I have had 55019 for a while. No problems at all here with tri-band. I connect to all 3 LTE with no problem at all. So why am I not supposed to be on 55019?

I've had lots of band 41 lately around here.

I'm at the NIH in Bethesda right now. Only have evdo rev a here, but can catch some LTE around the area. Had some band 26 too.

I'm thinking if you dont use hangouts then it shuts them off. There is a setting if you are using it as your default. But if you use another default texting app in my case,it won't work. I use chomp and I haven't got a one. I might use hangouts just to see if I get one.

Mine does that too. I though it was just a default disclaimer in the SCP app.

I've gotten all of them, in fact I had to turn off amber alerts because I am more interested in the weather alerts...weird.

I have a question unrelated to the current chat. Ever since I got the Nexus 5 I have not received any of those emergency messages, even the test message. I have everything enabled. Anybody else? I always got them with the Evo 4G LTE. I know some people don't want them, but it would be nice to get them if you do.

Mine said it failed too. I tried manually and never got a new number. That is why I was wondering if anybody did. I wonder what it was all about then?

Did anybody's PRL change with that update last night? Mine didn't. 

I have to say, ever since I got the update my phone has been working beautiful! I have had no band 41 yet, but switching from band 25 to 26 and back has been really smooth. I hardly ever go to 3G now, if I do it switches back to 4G fairly quick. I even found a site that has band 26 working but not band 25. I even tried LTE only to get it and nothing. Must be a good market here.

Update: I did get some band 41 today 6/15/2014.

Has anyone still not gotten the 4.4.3 update? I keep checking for the update, but I haven't received it. According to sprint it was going to roll out in batches until 6/9. That's come and gone and I'm still on 4.4.2.

 

I got my phone less than a month ago. Hopefully I get it soon!

Got it at about 2:30 today finally.

Still waiting for the OTA here as well. I thought the rollout was to be completed by today. In that case I guess I just might be last on the list. Story of my life!
