Well there could definitely be a change in performance going from cell site to cell site. In the meantime though, I would call sprint and tell them whats happening. They will probably walk you through reprovisioning your service, during the process they will give you a 6 digit code which will be your msl number. Make sure you write it down.
I will, thanks!

Yes google voice is totally different that google now or google search. So its safe to say that google voice isn't the issue, its definitely on the network side and not your phone. A network issue doesn't necessarily have to affect every single phone at that moment. Example, I told you that this used to happen to me quite often when I was in the Virgin Islands. I carry two phones at all times but it would always happen to my galaxy nexus and never to my evo lte. After network vision was complete(3g only) in the virgin islands its never happened again.
Yea, I really hope it's nothing major. Would it also affect it when moving around to different cells?

Have you ever used google voice?
Just the google search thing. Is google voice different? If so, then no.

If you have your MSL, open the dialpad and hit ##72786# and let the phone reprovision itself.
If you don't, call in to Care (*2) or take it in to a store.
Thanks, I just might have to do that this weekend. I don't have the MSL code.

Did some googling and some stories say it is a software issue and some say with google voice. My gf has the same phone and hers works just fine, so Idk.

I have had this happen to me quite a few times in the past especially when I am in the Virgin Islands, its definitely on the network side and not your phone.
Geez I hope so.

My EVO suddenly started to not receive texts or calls. I can send texts fine and when I make a call, a incoming text will come in. I am not sure if this is been discussed before. Anybody else have this problem? I have tried several restarts and a reset.

Yup, I had it out east of Faribault by Nerstrand 2 weekends ago.

But that says June 2012?

Did the update, now want to force close all the time. I had it going for about a minute at one point.

I did a manual PRL update and noticed I now have 25015 now. Yesterday I still had 25014.

Looks like Janesville, WI has some purple now on Sensorly.

Has been 4 days since I mapped and uploaded to several hundred points and still no update on the sensorly maps. While I can understand 24 delay this is going on much longer. Kinda takes away from the whole fun of it..
@l3x
I agree.

Hi everyone, after much suffering and anguish (hardware issues, network issues, software issues, we had it all...), we're finally in the process of adding capacity to our cluster. We're working on adding 3 servers and the first one is almost completely up to date.
Because the servers were so loaded we actually had to stop updating the map for now, don't worry data is stored and will be replayed for updating the map.We should be back online and much faster on Monday. If it's still not fast enough, we're going to add 3 more servers.
On another note, we're going to start testing a Content Delivery Network which should speed up the tile loading in the apps too, at the expense of only updating every couple of hours. How soon after collecting data do you typically check the map ? Right now the updates are slow so it's probably hours right ? We may end up having two sources for the map : the CDN (fast but hours to show updates) and the database (slow(er) but shows updates within minutes).
Thanks for the update. I was wondering why the mapping I uploaded 2 days ago was still not showing up.

I move to Fayetteville, NC this Sunday, so hopefully I am greeted by good LTE.
I just had to chuckle.I got my gf to move from Fayettevile to Minnesota 1-1/2 years ago. She was so happy, but misses Waffle House.

They are working on that tower by 35 and roselawn today
I checked it out 30 minutes after you posted this, nobody was around.

For the upgrade dates, it honestly sounds like the previous upgrades weren't run through properly, and you're just incredibly lucky. What it comes down to is, if the system says you're upgrade eligible, then you are eligible. I'd get on that before the system runs some script and kicks that out.
For insurance, whether or not ERP is worth it is up for debate. $9 a month + $150 deductible is a hard pill to swallow (when you can get like-new S3's off of eBay for ~$350). They position it as saving money vs the full outright price ($550 for the S3). I do think that everyone should have ESRP, though. $4/month to cover manufacturer's defects and normal wear+tear for your 2 years is definitely worth it; all it takes is a cat hitting your charging cord a few times for the port to come loose, and without ESRP, that's $50.
As for the "plan goodies", no, usually those fall off for that very reason. However, I personally have yet to see a family share plan go over the 1500 minutes thanks to free mobile-to-mobile.
I agree, I have the 1500 Family share and if we use more then 200 minutes of it, it's a miracle.

I thought Sprint Launched La Cross, WI or is this market consider some where in MN
Yup, it is in the MN market. Eau Claire area too.

Anyways, I hit a very brief LTE at 280 and Larpentuer tonight while on 280. I know it has been mapped and talked about before, but I have not had any luck there for quite awhile. Still not sure where that one is coming from. Too weak and quick to be from the tower right by there. Maybe something is happening again over there.

ipboard hates Minnesota.
Whew, it wasn't just me then.
EVO 4G LTE not receiving texts or calls.

Called Sprint tonight, they had me dial that ##72786# but it did not prompt for the code. Did the reset and now works great again! Case closed. Thanks for the help guys!!
