  1. While unlimited data isn't what keeps me on Sprint' date=' it's a relief to not worry about overage charges. One thing I'd like to see would be prioritization of data bandwidth to users that have used the least. The benefits vs difficulty of this means it probably won't happen, but it would allow the network to be used fairly.[/quote']

LTE can adjust bandwidth on the tower to keep hogs from dominating without resorting to a blanket throttle.

  2. Will finally upgrade from my Evo 4G for this... After the initial bugs are worked out... AND when Sprint lets us.... If I still work at Sprint.

    A lot of conditions there.

  3.

Thanks. I am trying the ICS keyboard. Scary how buying something on the Google Play Store on the web' date=' free or premium, automatically starts downloading on my phone without me giving permission on device first.[/quote']

Ah, but you log in online. So if you say you want it, no need to ask you twice.

  4. I did the exact same thing today with the same results. try the 60684 prl posted somewhere around here. its like night and day

I'll give it a shot. I had seen that prl thread a while ago and one person said the Evo 4g didn't scan the G block frequencies so I didn't try it then.

    Here's the PRL.

But it was my understanding also that the Evo 4G does not support the G block, but the Evo 3D does. Anyone confirm that Evo 4G is incapable (as a Google search seems to indicate?)

Edit: Crap. We are talking about two different issues, aren't we? I am sleepy. Sorry.

    Here's the 60684 PRL

Still not sure the Evo 4G supports it or I am confusing the two PRLs and what they do. I will just sit down and shut up now.

  5. How many servers did you run the test on? Sprint's NV sites are on different backhaul. The servers you used to use may not be the best ones to run new speed tests on. We had several people in the Boston market who ran speed tests on new NV sites and had lackluster results. I suggested they try different servers and they were getting over 1.6Mbps.

I am beginning to think these Speedtests aren't worth much...

  6.

Though we are talking loyalty not new customer attractions...

The goal from my standpoint is to reward those that stuck around forever and retaining customers during the tough times...

I'm sorry for not being clear. The premise is that it is cheaper to keep an existing customer than it is to attract a new one. What I am saying is that the cost of subsidizing a new phone annually is very likely much, much more than the cost of losing that customer and attracting a new one.

Also, there are few, if any, customers that stayed with Sprint out of "loyalty". They stayed out of self-interest.
