  1.

Yah I have thought about that one. Then again whenever they get NV up and running the reception at home should improve. Hopefully

I'm not certain why they are separate from switches' date=' but in most cases they are.

    Here's my educated guess:

Sprint is installing shiny new site equipment with new backhaul (microwave, fiber, or what have you). So they set up shiny new network "cores", or data centers, with all the network routers and such. Cutover is probably much simpler and less disruptive than trying to work with the legacy locations.

    That's what I figger anyway.

  3. Same here. I really wish we had more info on what they were doing. I wonder if all that microwave and backhaul they setup will be robust enough to handle the new surge in data. Me thinks not.

Why not? Here at S4GRU you must back up statements of opinion.

  4. Can no longer put iDEN devices on Seasonal Standby.

International PTT begins soon for Sprint Direct Connect.

On 4/01, Most iDEN customers had their upgrade eligibility reset so they could get a Sprint phone.

Special pricing for lots of phones for iDEN customers from 04/05 and 06/30... Epic Touch $50 or get a one of the following for a dollar: Evo 3D, MOTO Admiral, or Kyocera Duramax, Duracore, or Duraplus.

  5. Actually, they have not really lost any customers as LTE is not a reality yet. Also, Sprint signed a 4-year deal with Clearwire in December.

Under the four-year deal disclosed Thursday, Sprint will pay Clearwire as much as $1.6 billion in network fees and other possible investments. The deal soothes investor fears that Sprint was seeking to distance itself from Clearwire after 2012 as Sprint builds its own high-speed network.

  6. Thanks for the knowledgeable response. It's sad you seem to know more than the local stores or sprint reps.

I get so tired of hearing this. Why would you expect some slightly-above-minimum-wage person whose entry-level job is to sell or troubleshoot phones to have any clue what Sprint's contracts are or when technology will be deployed. Ask at the corporate level for those types of questions.
