What's the cost for the CableVision Wifi?

I would also like to know if there is any particular reason why both evo's get subpar 3g performance in comparison to my gnex. In every case I would be lucky if I get 200kbps on either evo but on the gnex I am getting atleast 1000 to 1500 kbps using the same servers while connected to the same towers.
If you truly are on the same tower, perhaps your Evo traffic is going through a proxy.

Please do because I am very interested to see how this feature works.
I could find nothing on the phone indicating the software had been loaded.
If installed, it It shows up in:
Settings > Wireless & Network > Mobile Networks > Automatic Connections
But nothing was in there so it is not preloaded for some reason.

Have you noticed that when compared to other phones the LG Viper has lower signal readings? I was playing with both the LG Viper and the Galaxy Nexus side by side and both had vastly different readings.
Nope did not check that.

Check out FierceWireless. This is why Blackberry is getting stomped. Corporate employees want to use their own phones. However, I did not realize how much Apple dominates enterprise activations (according to Good).

You can also use imgur.com and link the files. But even if you cannot afford Premier Sponsorship, donating a few bucks for regular Sponsorship to keep the lights on around here gives you access to a wealth of maps as well as sponsor-only chats.

I've been having bad data speeds way before Sprint got the jesus phone so that is not the reason
Correct. The reason is that the amount of data traffic doubles every year due to the proliferation of smartphones and mobile broadband cards and Sprint's network is unable to handle the growth.

Dang. I did not even look for it. Will check tomorrow.

Chicago sounds like a mess - you would think that given the situation it would make sense to make completing Chicago a #1 priority.
Oh, it is. As of today, Chicago has both the most towers completed (165 of 1,122) as well as the highest percentage of towers complete (14.1%).

More battery use though?

Duffman is a sprint employee right? he could have some insight
Nah.
All I know is that the device has to be loaded into Sprint's billing system for it to work. And until a CDMA version is released (and I doubt it will), we will just have to speculate.

I Googled and really tried to understand MIBs and SIBs. But alas, I am not worthy.

I have verified that the LG Viper is capable of doing simultaneous voice and data without LTE and WiFi. I set Network Mode to CDMA/EvDo auto and made sure that Wifi was off. I called another phone and left the connection open. I was able to visit multiple websites.
From what I have read internally, the reason this works is because EVDO and 1xRTT operate completely independently. The chips are completely separate.
Pretty cool, anyway.

Well I just spent 90 minutes on the phone with sprint. Tech support tried resolving my issue, had me do a factory reset, and several other meaningless tasks and then they decided my phone needed to be replaced. They said they had a internal memo which said some GN phones were having problems connecting to 3g data. Then they shipped me off to Telephone sales for the return and replacement.
You can also go into any corporate store and have it replaced... which is what I would do. And make sure it works before you leave. This is affecting many but not all phones.

I think I saw a notice come out at work about this and Sprint is investigating. I will try to remember to double-check tomorrow.
Found the info. Sprint is indeed investigating this phenomenom but I have not seen a Known Issue put out.

By joining becoming a sponsor of this site, you will be able to access that information and much, much more including exact locations of those towers. Please click the Forums link to find the PayPal link.

As expected. But, how do you like the phone?
Eh, I had hope since some dude on the sprint.com forums said he had service. (Damn lies, I tell ya!)
I like the phone. I may get it for my daughter to replace her Optimus.

Bummer. Went outside with a LG Viper and could not catch any tasty waves from the LTE tower a mile away.

Should be 34, correct?

Any chance you were under the bubble of the antenna?

I am still totally itching for the return of the pin drop commercials when they launch HD Voice.
That would be AMAZING.
Once they deploy HD Voice they damn well better!

Uggg.... stupid sprint will not activate the Galaxy Nexus on my legacy 50 SERO plan.
This is horrible! Trying to get this resolved.
I show SERO doc "PAST -SERO Plans" updated 04/13/2012 states "Subscribers who choose to upgrade to a Dual Mode 3G/4G WiMax or LTE smartphone..." so you should definitely be able to add it to SERO Premium plus $10.
I believe this is just an error with the billing system not set up properly to accept the phone for on SERO.
Not sure what is going on - activated a co-workers galaxy nexus who is on a standard 69.99+10 plan and it made him re-signup for a 69.99+10 plan.
Very strange. Normally when I do ESN swaps online it just swaps the phone over' date=' doesn't make you sign up for a plan again.[/quote']
And the reason it required changing the plan to what appeared to be the same plan is because there can be several codes on the backend for the plan you see. The plan code determines some features such as Blackberry access if needed. So in this case I believe the specific plan was to include LTE.
