  1. I wanted both since Metro and Cricket bought the spectrum in places where Sprint's PCS holdings were weak.
  2. But T-Mobile did very well purchasing MetroPCS. I wanted Sprint to buy/merge both Metro and Cricket.
  3. I think that Sprint will probably stop at 3xCA and then you might see 2 chains of 3xCA. I'm pretty sure that's probably due to handset limitations.
  4. I only see 1735-1740, 2135-2140 and 1740-1745, 2140-2145 AWS-1. I'm going by what's on the FCC Dashboard. I don't see who owns 1745-1755, 2145-2145 block?
  5. T-Mobile has a decent amount of B2 in Florida. In Miami they have 25x25 Mhz.
  6. Lightsquared wants to use their spectrum for smart grid purposes. Dish just keeps accumulating spectrum thinking that somebody will buy it from them for a very healthy profit. Except nobody is biting. T-Mobile still has not refarmed their PCS spectrum, AT&T has not refarmed their cellular spectrum and they are just now starting to use WCS, Verizon keeps on insisting that they are only using 50% of their spectrum and Sprint has gobs of band 41 left. Dish will not develop their own network, they may have Sprint host it for them. The disagreement with Sprint lies in that Dish wants to pay Sprint back with capacity and Sprint wants cash. Maybe T-Mobile can do it for capacity. Looking back on it, SoftBank acquiring Sprint might not have been the best option. I have yet to see a benefit. Maybe they should have let Dish have it.
  7. Sprint is not participating in the auction. SoftBank may or may not participate.
  8. It does not need to be. T-Mobile is using band 12 for coverage and not capacity. Sprint, up till now was using band 26 for capacity. As they continue densifying their network and releasing band 25 spectrum for second and third LTE carriers they will also start using it for coverage.
  9. i like the regional organizations. That way somebody is responsible for sales, network, etc on a regional basis. With responsibility come accountability.
  10. Just according to Fortune, Walmart in conjunction with AT&T, Verizon and Sprint (not T-Mobile) is offering a $100 discount on all iPhones and $150 off on all Samsung phones including the S7. You will have to visit the local Walmart store and you will have to sign up for an installment plan with one of the carriers. http://fortune.com/2016/04/01/walmart-iphone-offer/?xid=yahoo_fortune
  11. If you think that getting bullied at a public school was bad, try going to a private school full of rich, entitled kids. High school kids are cruel, period. BTW, I went to a rather expensive private boarding school.
  12. You know, we have publicly owned toll roads. The crumbling infrastructure is not because of the federal government but because of state or local government incompetence or misuse using interstates as local commuter roads. For example Houston 24-laning (12 lanes on each side) of I-10. The federal government provides all the funds and the local state government is the one that actually contracts for the work. Both of my kids graduated from public schools, took AP classes and went to college at prestigious colleges. It's what the parents and the kids put in their education that determines their outcome. I think the UC system does pretty well and so does University of Michigan or UNC or UVA or University of Texas.
  13. Remember that those speeds have to be shared, so average speeds will be lower unless of course it is combined with Artemis Networks gear . And I would rather they spend money on both densification and coverage expansion!
  14. I have not seen band 5 LTE and in my area AT&T has both A&B sides of 850MHz.
  15. I don't mean by urban areas. I mean looking at the obvious coverage gaps all over the country where they cover and fixing those first. We all know where the weak spots are within our local areas. Sprint knows them too. Each weak spot gets ranked with how weak it is and how many people are affected by it. The highest ranked weak spots get the small cells first. Anyway, that's what I'd do.
  16. T-Mobile has a BOGO offer on this thing. I guess it's not selling that well on the Magenta side or they need to show more lines added?
  17. Once they consolidate A-F PCS block spectrum holdings with G Block, then they can use Band 26 as the fall back rather than for primary capacity. Prioritize it as Band 41>Band 25>Band 26. Then Band 26 will only be used by subscribers that the other two bands cannot reach.
