  1. I remember being at the NFL kick off party in Green Bay a few years ago. I ended up putting my phone in airplane mode until after the game. Couldnt text, call, or browse the web. With the 120,000 ish people that were around Lambeau, which probably equated to 100,000 ish phones. The poor cell sites must have just been getting slaughtered

  2. My brother and a guy i work with both carried the original droid for almost 4 years and never had any complaints. Now they both upgraded to the razor maxx and have no complaints about that device as well. Obviously they are both on verizon. I dont know anyone who has a motorola on another carrier to get there opinion

  3. Youre right, but I think its bad policy, and bad business.

When your phone breaks due to no fault of your own, I think the last thing you want to point out is that the competitors have an easier warranty program in place.

Personally, Ive never had to get a phone replaced, but if I did with Sprint it would leave a very sour note.

Id just like the point out that one reason Walmart is such a successful business is because they have what is probably the most flexible return policy in the industry. Does it cost them? Yup, probably hundreds of millions - but they make it back in customer loyalty.

(Personally I buy my electronics at Costco for the same reason - warranty).

unless you purchase an exteneded warranty at one of these retailers your warranty claims are suppose to be directed thru the manufacturer. Many items actually state this on the warranty documentation.

  4. Where can I view the channel? I look under status under settings and didn't see anything.

Also, Im relatively new to CDMA, are PRLs pushed automatically to everyone or is it a manually updated thing?

Enter "##debug#" in your phone dialer. Then enter "777468" for the lock code. The check out the 1x Engineering RF screen

  5. There have many debates regarding wifi offloading and I know that this will eventually turn into that and be locked ;) But I had a thought recently as the tower closest to my house has new Panels and RRUs installed.

Should a consumer that only has High Speed Internet for their mobile device home use, keep that service once LTE is available at their home? Previous to my family cutting the cord and using streaming services for TV, my High Speed Internet was limited to my wife's laptop and our phones/tablets. I'm very sure that I could have convinced her that saving $70/month would have pushed her into full tablet usage.

How do the masses here feel about an end user canceling their HSI if they only use it for their mobile devices and do not violate the T&C of the Sprint contract?

I could see this working if all you utilize your home internet service for is browsing. Anything more than that would just be a PITA in my opinion.

  6. With the galaxy s4 coming out in the not so distant future I would hope that the only s2's being sold are just to clear out stock. I'm not sure why a person would be and s2 anyway. When the s3 is not too much more cash and LTE. Probably answered my own question though. Normal consumer doesn't know the difference between Wimax and LTE. All the know is 4G.

  7.

Same thing would happen if the buffet down the street changed from all you can eat to a 5lbs limit. I would line the wife's purse with a ziploc and bring my 5lbs home with me since that's what I paid for.

I would have to say that I am the same way. When I put gas in my car I dont pay for 11 gallons and only put 5 in the tank. if I was paying for 2 gigs of data then i would utilize 2 gigs, compared to the less than 100meg i typically use now.

I also understand that many people confuse unlimited with infinite. Im not one of those people thankfully.
