  1. It looks like the eHRPD switch has been flipped in the whole San Diego county market. I've been getting it at my parents house in Carlsbad, my condo unit in Scripps Ranch, and at the Chili's by I-8 & Mission Gorge Rd. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

  3. Should I do a drive by then of the 3G upgraded NV site without naming the address then
  4. Over the past 2 or 3 weeks or so ehrpd has been turned off and on especially around CA State Route 56 corridor, Carmel Valley Rd. to Camino Del Mar in Del Mar. Ehrpd doesn't necessarily mean that 4G LTE is coming sooner. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  5. As someone who lives in San Diego County, I'm not seeing any Sprint 4G LTE on Sensorly. However Ehrpd seems to come and go, but that doesn't necessarily mean LTE is coming in the very near future. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Oooh, $3.69 for regular unleaded. I would kill for that in California. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  7. I think that's because your phone is a 4G WiMax phone, not a 4G LTE phone. I used to have the first generation Evo 4G and always got great WiMax coverage inside STAPLES Center. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Has anyone been able to get a 4G LTE signal inside of STAPLES Center? I've seen the Sensorly map for the area around STAPLES Center, has LTE looking up and down Figueroa St and the I-110/Harbor Freeway but interestingly enough no 4G LTE inside STAPLES Center. Maybe it hasn't been reported on Sensorly, although it does seem odd that if there is no 4G LTE in STAPLES Center, why wouldn't they focus it into the arena? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  9. I wonder how Sprint determines who gets the update? Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

  11. Interesting, back in Del Mar (15th St & Camino Del Mar), we've gone back to EVDO-A whereas the other day it was on eHRPD Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

  19. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 Well I think I have reason to believe that the tower was down in Del Mar (same location mentioned as above) was that Sprint must have been in the process of installing eHRPD. Because that's now showing up today as opposed to EVDO-A last night. The first screenshot was from last night, the second one was from today. I am also noticing improved 3G speeds as well. Robert, I assume that is Network Vision in process?
  20. Not sure what's going on in Del Mar(15th St at Camino Del Mar aka Old Highway 101), but I am not getting any native Sprint 3G whereas I used to before in the same spot. Now I'm on roaming, which makes no sense. While I never got excellent service, I would get ok service, that was good enough indoors. Now it's nothing. Fortunately I have Wifi at work. 21. Honestly that would be a let down if the San Diego 4G LTE after not getting 4G WiMax. Honestly I just hope for consistent speedy 3G upgrades in the area. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
  22. I travel up to Lake Elsinore quite a bit, where my brother lives he gets very speedy 3G near Flowerhill Dr. & Lost Rd. in 92532. However at Storm Stadium (formerly known as The Diamond) in Lake Elsinore, I've been getting rather subpar 3G service where it's so slow, it's impossible use any data (speeds of 100kbps or less). Honestly I 4G LTE would be fantastic, but I would be very ecstatic if I could just get some usable 3G. Are there any improvements coming to those areas I just mentioned? 23. Here's my 2 cents on the debate. I always use residential WiFi wherever I can (provided I have the ability to access it. I feel that by using the residential WiFi, the response time would be better and there is a noticeable increase in battery life when using WiFi. Now where I work, (which is at a hotel), we have WiFi for our guests, which any one can use. Our WiFi infrastrcture is so shoddy, that our speeds vary wildly during certain times of day. (I think our problem is that our hotel uses AT&T DSL). Our WiFi speeds range from 0.5mbps to a max of 4mbps download. The huge part of problem is that latency can be high (even during the max speeds). Whereas with 3G where I work, I get about 3 of 6 bars, however I get a far more consistent user experience especially when it comes to video streaming. I hope it doesn't make me a bad person, because I do try to use WiFi as much as possible when at work until it craps out. I should also point out that I do try to use public WiFi whenever I'm out and about on certain conditions. Those condtions are: a) ability to access WiFi without having to pay for it, the speeds are good enough for what I need, and c) if I feel that the WiFi is safe. For the record, where I live, I don't have 4G Wimax or LTE (I hope San Diego gets LTE, vecause I was bummed we didn't get WiMax), but even if I had WiMax or LTE, I will use the WiFi to help Sprint maintain their unlimited offerings and be courteous to fellow Sprint customers. PS> I do have Sprint Conections turned off, because I don't want my phone connecting to any unauthorized WiFi networks, but do make the effort to toggle on & off the Wifi feature on my phone where I know I can get WiFi.
