So, are we saying it is safe to download the July update on the S22 for Tmobile?
Guess that was the June update that some people were having trouble with on the S22 Ultra.
My S22 basic seems to work OK for me on the June update.
Guess I will try the July update after all.

Not the greatest article... yeah Sprint was a little late to LTE but they're unnecessarily rough. In most cities it was at least competitive with the other carriers, if not better in some cases by the time the B41 rollout reached its peak.
Agreed. I happily relied on Sprint LTE Hotspot for several years for all of my internet needs.

Samsung band selector app does not work.
*#2263# brings up the menu and lists the bands but I did not actually select any bands to see if that works or not.

Please leave us know what features or options are broken with the update. I always wait a few days until somebody else finds the bug(s). I am not brave enough to install it on the first day.
I usually wait also. Don't know what got into me. Will post anything I find.

June update finally available on locked!
T-Mobile needs to bring back the Sprint software testers so these get out more quickly. Same version that dumb and dumber OKd week+ ago.
Just updated on Tmobile S22. Huge update file, almost 1.8 GB.

Ordered a graphite one (no hurry so I don't mind it taking weeks to show up) as, net of me sending in my S21, it'll be $225 for the 256GB version. Given that I got my S20 heavily subsidized and got the S21 for $150 with trade-in, I'll take it. Slightly shorter phone will be nice, as will n77 and eventual 71+41+41 NR CA.
Just curious what everyone does with their old cell phone cases when they trade in the old phone. Does T mobile take them?
I am not trying to sell anything on here, just looking for ideas because I don't know what to do with the UB Pro case from my old S20 fe 5g I am trading in. Ebay? Craigslist? Donate to thrift store?

Does anyone know if the newest trade in offer for the S22 of 799 for a S20 FE applies to the Magenta Max 55+?
Apparently I only qualified for the 600 dollar trade in allowance.
Note, I now have the new S22. The reception I am getting seems to better than my old S20 FE 5G. At home I was averaging about 200 Mbps and now I am getting over 300 Mbps. At my local library, I had to use WiFi since my signal was too weak. The S22 gave me a usable signal inside the library.

Just went back and reread some our posts on this thread from when I first opened it back in 2013.
Wow. What a ride we had! We were looking for any kind of usable 3G. Some times all we had were protection sites with virtually no back haul. Now, I get over 200 Mpbs, consistently and indoors at that.
Many thanks to Robert and all the rest of you who have been posting here and making this journey better. Just a little nostalgia ...

May security updated now on the T-Mobile S20 FE.

S20 FE is on One UI 4.1 and April security patch.

Android 12 up and running. TMobile phone.

I am now consistently getting over 200 Mbps down, inside my house during the day.

Happy Birthday Robert. I am so great full for all you have done with this site. We learned so much about Sprint, the phones, the towers, the frequencies and all the other things about our cell service.
Thank you man, enjoy your day.

5G is alive and well in Beaufort SC. They have opened up the TMobile Home Internet with free 5G Gateway now.

Yikes.
Is "TMobile broke promises" a valid headline? Just asking.
Covid certainly contributed to all 3 cutting jobs.

Even though I'm exploring the option (basically, I was already contemplating balance payoff after we moved and using net proceeds from selling our prior home, which then trade in gets me under half the monthly payments I'm doling out now...less if I went straight Samsung for 36 vs 24 mo plan), I couldn't agree more.
Even with a totally different model with totally different chipset/hardware...my wife has the A32 5G and in day to day use other than the size differential I can't tell any difference in actual usage/performance really. Oddly there's one thing I actually even like better about hers; since we both keep our phones in vibrate mode 95% of the time, I much prefer the vibration sound/pattern on her phone than my S21. The S21 isn't as 'pronounced' we'll say as I'd prefer when vibrating off text messages.
Interesting. Was using my wife's A32 5G today and thinking the same thing as opposed to my S20 FE 5G.
Heck, ours even have the same screen size. Lol.

That is what I thought, but it doesn't say so on the web site.
Of course, now it says they are out of stock anyway

Does the new free LG Velvet 5G deal require a new line of service?

Fierce wireless is reporting "The Competitive Carriers Association (CCA) says more money needs to be allocated to the ensure 5G makes its way into rural areas that likely wouldn’t get the new technology without support."
Isn't TMobile doing this without the CCA?

That list is hysterical to me. Places like Mount Airy & Marion NC or Wytheville VA (have been in all three, 2 within the last 3 months even) make no sense juxtaposed against the likes of Atlanta/Boston/San Fran/etc, but that they're actually commanding higher comparatively even as well...? 😲
Just curious, could some squatters be hoarding some licenses in those areas creating a shortage of usable space?

I just checked again on my T-Mobile S20+, it's still saying up to date with the June 1st update.
My Tab S6 was just updated to the August patch. Hopefully your S20+ will not be far behind.

OK. Looks like the Samsung band selector app does not work, which everyone knew already. The *#2263# menu comes up but I have not tried to actually force any band changes.
Is that menu working for anyone on Tmo?
