On 84 west right after exit 14 the tower closet to the highway had a crane last two days. They put new pannels on it today. I saw them as i drove by. I cant wait for these to go live. I know it needs fiber ran to the tower still.

Depending on the provider and how many fiber counts. Its pretty thin usally about the thickness of RG-11 Coax cable. That may seem thick but most of that is protection of the fiber its self. Yes the orange pvc is usally the new conduit they use a machine to put it underground than use a rope to pull fiber through.

i have an s2 due for an upgrade in 5 days! Im waiting for the s4. The s3 is not to much differ except sbeam and lte.

Yea ct is still in devlopment. There were people climbing my tower today service was crappy too. I felt bad for him its windy out. But Many towers dont have fiber ran to them yet. No more crappy T1 lines thats why your 3g is so slow. Its only 1.5mbps. My cable company is doing the fiber to the towers in this area

Business class cable can get fiber optics. I work for a cable provider and we supply fiber to businesses and cell towers

I know ct is being worked on. i work for a cable company we supply the backhaul via fiber. Im sure other cable companys do the same

The back haul is fiber. My local cable company ran fiber for verizon but has lots of let over pairs that there using fir sprint. Or running fiber from the closest fiber splice

In there devolpment they need to add more towers buy my house and in general areas. Theres three towers in my area. One is lower sectoion of a valley that is were sprints is of course. One is at a high school on other side of valley on top of it. Last one is at town dump also up high. Where i live i fall in a dead spot and that airave thing is junk. But anyways i really hope they add new towers lte is not going to help dead spots. When att has full bars and verizon has 3. In my old town there where two towers one on highway side and other, on other side of the hill. Both have att and verizon the highway had sprint. So if you go on the other side your in a dead spot lol. I dont understand why verizon and att took off unlimted data. There have fiber optic cables with the local cable companys wich is a business account and get unlimted data because there a business. Then charge people for data thats a joke

So one tower in town is offline. Its a dead spot use to have full service. Now im roaming

They are Definitely working on it. Ill say that much launch date is a while. But at least most or every tower will get it. Unle the wimax that cities got and no where else.

Sprint is working in ct. I can tell you that lol. I have seen alot of fiber enclosures.

do you know where the completed towers are? I have a epic 4g touch due for an upgrade but i dont wanna loose 4g. I noticed a speed increase in wimax i get on average 12 down and almost 2 up. Also for nextel towers it says. remove 12iDEN antennas; install 3 WiMAX antennas and microwave dish? Are they still doing Wimax?
