Sorry if I sound stupid. Does this mean Sprint won't just take my money? They want it devide up into 24 payments? What is the logic? Easy pay isn't a contract is it... What am I missing? Sorry..
As I recall, you can pay off your EasyPay phone sooner by making larger monthly payments. My mom and wife just signed up for easy pay, so I haven't seen yet how it's billed or where the option is to pay off the phone.

There are more B25 only devices out there than tri-band devices, so B26 will continue to be less crowded probably for another year.I had considered this but it still seems odd to me because it's not just one area. It's two different markets and a 45 mile distance between where I work, play, and live, varying between urban and rural areas, and still it sticks to B26 the whole time. In addition I don't think an overburdened network would have given me upwards of 30Mbps speeds on my old B25 device either but I suppose the system might know something I don't...

I got b26 in a parking garage on 4th and King today! Was great! And like you it was parked on b26 and then moved to b41. It was nice! Even got some b26/b41 in noe Valley! Must be bleed over from other neighborhoods but still nice.
That's sweet. On the other end of the spectrum, is the brown dot at Castro & Market. Not even NV 1 3G upgrade at such a bustling spot.

I just integrated as i want to text from my tablet and work pc. (sprint # as GV#)
initially had the double text on my side but single text on receiving end. Set the reply option to google voice, logged out of google voice app, and set the incoming call option in hangouts to unchecked.
Everything seems to work great, no duplicates, and mms sends a link now, but i can live with that.
MMS Sending links is like going back to Sprint caveman age when Sprint was the only carrier that didn't support MMS.
-
Are you using hangouts or the old app? That's incorrect. I send and receive MMS non stop on WiFi Calling. I'm currently in a group message where I receive hundreds of texts a day though MMS. There have been 0 problems so far. In fact, I think my phone connects to WiFi calling much faster and better after the update.
-
Sending and receiving of MMS never worked on the original WiFi Calling release and seems like it still isn't fixed.Nope...why...is that messed up now?
The feature is a non starter if I can't get messages.

Have your tried to send and receive MMS?I just got the latest Firmware update yesterday, and I tested out Google Maps with the WiFi Calling feature still on and Google Maps finally worked properly...it seems that the problem was finally resolved

I live on 5 th and King and started noticing B26 as well. That tower needs some B 41 to handler the crowds that come and go on each train. There's a tower a block west that still hasn't gotten any love. Upgrading that one would relieve some load from 4th and King.

It depends on load level and congestion of each frequency. The system decides and tells the phone which one to use. If only b25 and B 26 are deployed, it will likely be b26 as most older LTE phones can only be on 25. Where b 41 is deployed, b 41 will likely be the least congested one.Just to clarify, frequency order is 2500/1900/800?
There are variations of this where there are multiple carriers on 1900 and 2600, so think of those as parallel networks.

TiVo let's people sign up for a priority list to get their updates at the start of a rollout. Sprint should set up a similar list for customers who want updates sooner. Its starting to come tonight...
Last OTA, my phone didnt get for 3 weeks despite running manual checks multiple times daily. I know why they do it, but its annoying none the less.

I'm surprised tooI See Verizon already got the 4.4.4/Eye update. I'm shocked Sprint didn't have the update first, as they've been on the ball with the M8 since launch.

Has anyone gotten their iPhone 6 unlocked (for international use) by Sprint? I remember that for iPhone 5s, the process was cumbersome. You need to call sprint, they would do something, then you need to whip out itunes, do a full backup, factory reset, and then a restore.
Is the process easier with iPhone 6/6+?

I'm kind of in the same boat, not necessarily iphone related, but wondering if Sprint worldphone with Spark can enjoy regular GSM + TDLTE service in China where TDLTE is available, using a China Mobile sim card. I know 3G won't work as China Mobile 3G is not regular HSPA+
eager to find out
As far as international unlock goes, I think you have to be either a long time customer, or out of contract, or you paid for your phone outright with no financing in order to get the the international unlock?
My wife is getting an iPhone 6 soon and going to China in a few months. Now that iPhone 6 has been out for a while, has anyone tried the Sprint model in China with TD-LTE Band 41?
Also, the iPhone 5s on VZ was unlocked, but Sprint's model was sold locked and needed to be unlocked to be used in China, is that still true for Sprint's iPhone 6?

Some people (or all) weren't able to get mms from certain carriers. I think all functionality with the apps are the same it's just an interoperability thing with those North American carriers. Or so I thought.
Remember that if you use hangouts for GV, then you lose the ability to send SMS whlie talking on the phone on Tri-Band devices. I ended up reverting things back, since in addition to that, my SMSs would get delayed in both directions over sending them directly via Sprint.
Is this a good time to also rant that you don't get HD Voice on numbers with GV?

Probably good at concert venues.Only 2x :-( The 6x stuff costs just way too damn much and actually doesn't deliver a significant amount more gross throughput, just better link budgets and closer to max bandwidth longer.

That God for preorder cause I skipped a few hundred people in line. Apple got me all set up and ready to go. What I did notice was each carrier had a representative in store for any issues which I thought was good.
I also picked up b41 and best of all...no spinning spark logo!
How do you get to this screen on iPhone 6?

I haven't found much b41 in south bay, but at least b25 is almost everywhere.all sites along 237 have b25. Only a few have b26. I'm sure it'll pop up soon enough.
Almost all clearwire towers have b41.
-
I start in SF, but that's largely my commute. How much b26 is there along 237? I saw they finally accepted the last 3g only tower along 237, but it wasn't broadcasting LTE yet last week.I rarely go into the city, sorry. I know all the sites in foster city, San Mateo, and along my daily commute along the 101 south, down to 237.

Does anyone have trouble with the GPS? When traveling, I rely on Waze and Google Navigation, but after 2-3 uses, GPS stops working. In the nav apps, it means that my app location doesn't update making them useless. Rebooting the phone fixes the problem, but not always. Has that happened to anyone else? Any other suggestions on how to restore the GPS functionality?

I feel these were existing LTE purple sites and only 1x800 got activated. Any way to tell?

Was driving to Monterey on Saturday, and I saw workers on tower -----------near exit 5 on Hwy 17 South before Santa Cruz.

I'd give it one more month. What is your commute?I think with CSFB working and B41 available (probably?) during my commute. I think I'm almost ready to kill my T-Mobile service and switch back to Sprint
I wonder if the rest of the 3G only sites that are live in SF are just waiting for integration techs or if backhaul still isn't there.
-
You don't need more backhaul. You need more macro sites, more pico sites (small cells), and more importantly the LTE carriers on B41.
Actually, I think SF upgrades are much smoother than in other places where B25 towers go up one by one. In those markets (like San Jose area), a B25 tower goes up and LTE signal would cover area typically spanned by 4-5 surrounding towers - leaving little LTE bandwidth in the end for a device that locks onto it. It would actually make 3G service much better as all the LTE devices in that area would battle for a sliver of 5x5 LTE freeing up 3G.
Today, in SF, there are many B41 towers. B41 is VERY capable of providing bandwidth equivalent of 4-5 B25 LTE towers. Looking at LTE Discovery app (which I'm liking much more than SCP), there's something near 3rd & I-80 in SOMA that's blanketing area as far as 7th & Townsend with useful speeds. With eCSFB up, it's a better experience than what SF has suffered with for the last two years where single LTE towers would struggle with the load.

I'd imagine this also depends on what the other guys use for voice.I'm about to upgrade from my HTC One (M7) to a HTC One (M8). I'm curious to know that since it's a tri-band device, will it work on China Mobile's and Softbank's (Japan) LTE networks, since they're both on Band 41 (2500 MHz)? These two companies are the only ones I've seen that share at least one of Sprint's LTE bands.
I was in China last year with an iPad air, and we never saw LTE, despite supposedly being on networks with compatible bands. I chalked it up as some other compatibility issue or lack of widespread deployment.
IPad is also a more worldly device than the Sprint specific M8, hence my skepticism.
