OK, I don't know what the hell Entner is talking about in this segment:
"However, unlike turning on the 600 MHz in just a couple of days with a software upgrade, Entner said turning on Sprint’s spectrum for T-Mobile users is going to be more complicated. He explained that Sprint’s backbone and core network is very unique and not standard. It has to work with Boost, the former Virgin Mobile and Nextel, making “the core network a little bit difficult to work with.”"
Can anybody that knows shed some light on this?
I was also wondering about this statement.

FWIW in my area I’m seeing slightly faster download speed around 20-60mbps (use to be 5-20) and huge increase in upload at 7-15mbps where it was .5 to 2 before).
Where are you?

Anyone having problems updating the YouTube app on your phone? My update gets to about 50% download then stops. I've tried clearing the data for the Google store app and restarting my phone.

Do you think TMobile will deploy B41 in rural areas also? So 5G would be on B71 and B41?

How can you tell if your TAC matches TMobile?

If you go down the page a bit it says this:
Our Community is currently set to Read Only due the pandemic's affect on our staffing .
Please try Searching the Community, we have many questions already answered, you can also check out the Knowledge base
If you need immediate assistance please visit Sprint ChatAh, I didn't see that.

Has anybody else noticed that the Sprint community website (https://community.sprint.com/) has gone read-only?

Does anyone know what AppCloud is? I just had that install itself on my S10.

How is everybody's S10 out there holding up. Still liking it? Any issues?
-
You guys see that the unlocked versions of the S20 and the S20+ are now $200 cheaper?
-
I would not be surprised if the merger gets delayed because of COVID-19

As I sit here at my desk I have an s10+, note 10+ and s20 ultra in front of me and I can't see any difference in how fast any of them unlocks using the fingerprint scanner. All three are very responsive. But also keep in mind that the performance of the fp sensor is directly related to the moisture level of your finger tip. So that may be why we all get different performance results. If your fingertip is super dry, you'll have problems.
Yeah, I also have had issues with dry fingertips on the s10.

Does anyone know if the S20 has that new fingerprint sensor from I believe Qualcomm that has a larger scan area?

You'll cave, you always do.
I think I'll wait for black friday, then cave. Or if there's a deal or something between now and then. 🙂

so...
S20 Ultra at $58.....
That's like 2 less beers a month, so obviously going Ultra. 🤣 🍻
My only hesitation is the size of the Ultra, but I've toyed with a Note10+ and it's only a few mm longer than that.
All too rich for my blood at the moment.

Sprint has the lease price of the S20 on their website now. $41.67/month.

It seems like they have options. Being in the South Central PA Shentel market, I'd love to see Shentel wireless business purchased by T-Mobile. I hate having zero resources to get phones repaired, make actual billing inquiries, get the same deals on phones.. as well as being an ignored market as far as upgrades to towers more than 1/4 mile off of I-81/I-83.
https://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/shentel-carrier-at-crossroads-sprint-and-t-mobile-merger
Full Disclosure: Prior Shentel employee for 5 years, love the company and hope the best for them.
For option #3, Shentel would stay a New TMobile affiliate, correct? They would have access to all of New TMobile's spectrum and deploy/manage the network in that area?

Yeah, I'm out for now. The price is too high. I'll see what black friday deals bring.

The negative press on Sprint in the merger process should be a significant factor in churn. Converting former Clear sites to triband should have had a significant performance impact yet has not dramatically appeared in Rootmetrics results. The rarity of B25 + B41 + B41 CA is a factor since that would solve band 41 upload congestion (5g would be even better). In my market attention is shifting to software updates. VoLTE came to Magic Boxes last week. Overall network improvements might just be a multistep process yet to be completed. The competition does not stand still for Sprint.
I have actually seen 4X CA with 1 10Mhz B25 and 3 20Mhz B41 channels, and the upload was still no more than 5Mbps. Also had good signal strength. Also, download was not that impressive. Maybe around 80Mbps.
Now, maybe they are still "tuning" everything.
-
I'm starting to see 4X CA in my area. And it's using B25 and B41. So the engineering screen will show the first channel as B25 (10mhz). Then the other 3 channels will be B41 (20mhz). Download speeds are...ok. Not as high as I would expect with 4X CA (peak around 80Mbps). But upload speeds are terrible. Max around 1Mbps.
But at least it's good to see them adding B25/B41 CA.

After the Android 10 update, has anyone had an issue like this: sometimes when I unlock the phone, the screen kinds of flashes/refreshes, then it moves to the home screen (it may have been on the second or third screen when I unlocked)?
Who is going to miss Sprint?
