    LG G2 Users Thread!

Thinking of switching from my 5s to a g2. Does anyone have a concrete answer as to when the spark update will rollout? Or is still just rumors. How does the g2 perform on band 41 without the update? Thanks.
  2. No. Band 26 is an LTE band. 1x800 is CDMA for voice, minimal data, and text, I believe.
  3. Well then, kudos to sprint for their voice quality/coverage.
  4. Maybe that's why my calls are clear to my wife. We both have a 5s. Not sure if it's hd capable, but I'm assuming it is.
  5. Then you should wait to find a code with lots of people on it already. Hopefully, Sprint will let you join a code after creating a code. My brother was a new customer, sprint gave him his own code only to realize he needed to be on my code (I'm the existing customer). It took several phone calls, supervisors, and store visits to drop his code and join mine. Believe it or not, check eBay. Search "framily." People are posting codes there as free advertisement in "no purchase necessary" auctions.
  6. Not sure what handset you have, but maybe loading digiblur's prl to force 800 might help that. If your signal is weak, it should be grabbing it automatically.
  7. Go hang out inside a Sprint store, look for a family that is bringing a few lines, have the rep explain the discount to them, and the separate billing, or make a craigslist advertisement. There are many different ways to get your code out there. I had 4 lines, and filled the other 6 with little or no effort. Everyone wins.
  8. Voice coverage is better in Chicago on Sprint than any other carrier. This just further proves it. My calls are always crystal clear, never drop, and can be made almost anywhere, indoors or out.
  9. That cap was also included on the unlimited my way plans. I don't think it exists.
  10. Yes. I'm giving it time. Hopefully, someone will figure it out and post something here or on the interwebz. The phone has been out for 4 months and it's still impossible to find anything on google about this issue.
  11. Yeah, everything is different from all instruction online. We also have a .pri file that the 5 (I believe) doesn't have. I found a few articles that said apple implemented security features on the 5s to prevent prl modding
  12. Well, that's even worse. It's a shame Sprint is taking their sweet time, or google, or whoever is in charge of that. It's such a nice phone, and it almost has me leaving my iOS devotion so that I can enjoy 41 in and around the city.
  13. You'll probably have to head over to our nexus 5 thread and read up. That device is not yet spark compatible. It has the hardware, but has not been software enabled yet by Sprint. Supposed to be sometime this quarter. I believe you can manually enable bands 26/41 by obtaining your MSL from Sprint support.
  14. CDMA 800 is installed with the initial equipment install. It just varies when it's turned on.
  15. I'm hoping and praying that my 5s just wants to be on 26 the majority of the time once it launches. I'm just happy that the 5s has that band enabled, and we don't have to wait for sprint to release some dumb update.
  16. I currently have 5 on my framily with 4 more joining next week. Really, no carrier can touch the deal that my girlfriend and I are getting. Unlimited everything, and insurance for $112. I'll deal with the occasional slower pcs LTE data in downtown Chicago for that price.
  17. It works on the 5, and doesn't work on the 5s. I've had no luck loading a prl. I think I've come to the conclusion that my 5s (and others) have a security feature that prevents it as it doesn't work.
  18. That's what I figured. It was probably done simultaneously with 800 LTE work (if that has occurred here).
  19. Just thought I would share that I downloaded a fantastic theme. If you miss the way iOS 6 looked, download "iOS 6 complete for iOS 7." It is great, and even has fully functional, regular signal bars.
  20. Robert, does adding USCC spectrum to our network require a site-by-site visit to install hardware? Or is something like that controlled by engineers somewhere in some room.
  21. Not sure how they're handling framily id posting. But keep in mind, most people here are already Sprint customers with their own code. Although, I suppose the occasional prospective customer might browse this thread looking for a code.
  22. Their troubleshooting methods, and canned responses are the major reason why us Chicagoans complain on this thread. There are so many knowledgable people here that can legitimately explain what's going on. I'm not even sure the twitter techs are real people. A major corporation can probably code some bots for twitter with ease.
