  1. He's still getting used to all the extra screen real estate on that plus. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  2. I'm the same way, except every app is in just one folder named "Apps." I use searchlight for everything. My wife has like 9 pages and it drives me nuts. Not a single folder. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  3. I never understood the purpose of "Launcher." It seem like more work to pull down the shade, scroll, and click as opposed to just clicking it on your home screen. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  4. Just for kicks, can you check for wifi calling? Settings-phone. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  5. Maybe they've finally tweaked some things? I'm wondering if band handoffs are fixed with this. Let us know what you notice. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  6. If the price is around what Apple charges, I would go to Apple. At least you know you're getting a genuine OEM replacement, and work done by a knowledgable technician. Plus, if they screw up, they might just swap the phone. I have a hard time trusting those strip mall cellular shops that sometimes use knockoff Chinese parts from eBay, and charge OEM prices. That's just me, though. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  7. I wouldn't attempt it. You might have to eat the cost at Apple. It's $100 I think. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  8. I don't think I've seen one for the 6+ in person yet. I also had one for my 5s and liked it, even though it was damn near impossible to remove. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  9. I have a matte slim case, and it's only for grip. I bought my phone from a guy on swappa, and he included a clear incipio case with it. It's nice, but it so slippery that I can't use it. I have my days where I want to trade for a 6 just so I can go case-less, and actually be able to use the phone without it slipping to the ground. I really shouldn't care, though, as I purchased square trade insurance (basically, AppleCare+ for used phones). Sent from my iPhone 6+
  10. After your final bill + ETF are paid, you should become eligible. The other contracted line does not matter. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  11. No. If your line was clear of installment before porting out, you're fine. Call Sprint. They'll ask for your number when you were a customer. You may have made a mistake by porting out before being unlocked. I think you'll need to be on the Sprint network for them to send the unlock code? This is just what I've read, even though the unlock gets sent to Apple, and is based on the IMEI number in their database. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  12. Honestly, it could stand to be a little bit louder. Are there phones that are quieter? Sure. Are there phones that are louder, and possibly more "tinny" sounding? Probably. It's fine. The important part is the audio quality. It's crystal clear. Pair that with Sprint-to-Sprint HD voice, and you're good. The vibrate motor is fine, too. I also work in a loud environment (truck driver), and without the led notification flash turned on, I would probably miss some calls. When I'm out and about, and in a quieter environment, I can usually hear the phone, and feel the phone vibrate with no problem--more so if I'm sitting, and the phone is tight to my leg. You could always try it for the 14 days and return it if it's not satisfactory. You'll get hit with a re-stocking fee, though. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  13. Don't waste your time with Apple; they can't unlock your phone. All unlock requests have to be initiated by the carrier. If it's inactive, and you're a Sprint customer, your line can not have any installment billing or contract tied to it at all. Even if you paid full price for the iPhone, it does not matter. Your entire line needs to be clear of contracts and installments before they'll even take your request seriously. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  14. Mine was replaced once before I had it unlocked. It didn't matter. Sprint only sees the current, active iPhone on your account. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  15. Replaced before or after being unlocked? Sent from my iPhone 6+
  16. Meh. On a plus, you should be around 7-8 hours usage at that point. That's where I've been at lately with moderate to heavy usage. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  17. If you reset or power off, you lose all stats until you charge to 100% again. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  18. "Usage" is screen on time, and screen off audio streaming. Standby is time off the charger since 100% Sent from my iPhone 6+
  19. That about par for the course. It's nice not even thinking about plugging in when you're out and about, isn't it? Sent from my iPhone 6+
  20. Every single aspect of your phone? Every single photo, setting, folder arrangement, alarms, app data, etc.? Or just the apps that you've downloaded, and the basics like contacts and calandar. And is it every single android on the market? Or just a select few. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  21. People should know about it. iCloud backups are in my top 3 reasons why other phones suck. I have zero fear of losing my phone, and subsequently, losing all my data. Other phones can't do that without a magic spell, a prayer, and jumping through flaming hoops. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  22. For anyone who has stopped getting tapatalk notifications, I have found the fix (I think): every once in awhile, tapatalk was prompting me to "notify me every time a subscription was posted to" (or something along those lines). It's a tapatalk box, and not an iOS message, so I kept hitting "not now." Getting alerts for every single subscribed post is annoying (unless that's what you want). I noticed tapatalk wasn't listed under settings - notifications, and I thought to myself "this app has never asked me to approve notifications like every other app." So, when that box popped back up, I decided to try out the "notify me" button. After clicking that, I got the iOS alert asking me to allow tapatalk notifications. Now, tapatalk is listed in settings - notifications. I don't know how to get that tapatalk box to pop up when you want, because it seemed pretty random. But if it does, hit the blue "notify me" button. Someone, please like this post so I can see if it's fixed. I'll edit back. Sent from my iPhone 6+ Edit: it's working! Back in business
  23. Just disable those stock animations. I've had them disabled since iOS 7. Settings - general - accessibility - reduce motion: ON. Sent from my iPhone 6+
  24. That's your PRL. The Sprint carrier bundle is still at 18.0. Two different things. Sent from my iPhone 6+
