Just tested a call to my wife who has an iPhone 5 and an iPad mini and it worked. It did take a little longer to ring. Something with your router maybe?Yep, everything matches up to what I need, but it still won't work
Bluetooth isn't needed. I keep mine off and it works.Bluetooth turned on both devices?

Then why isn't mine working?

Your mini and phone are on the same Wifi network and use the same iCloud account?
Here's the requirements for Continuity:
- Continuity features are available on iPhone 5 or later, iPad (4th generation), iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPod touch (5th generation).
-
Funny, I can't receive calls on my iPad. [emoji20] they must have disabled that too like SMS continuity.

Nope, just had a phone call come in and my iPad Air was ringing too. Freaked me out at first.
Edit: Just tested again having my wife disable wifi/cell data on her iPhone and calling me. I was able to have a speakerphone call with her from my iPad Air. So the calling part of Continuity works.

I ended up upgrading OTW, made it easier and the phone still felt snappier afterwards.
Over the water? [emoji6]

Just got my spigen iphone case. I'm about to die, I want this phone right now. Lol. What's happening to me!
Which Spigen case? I wanted to get the wallet case but it only holds two cards and I need one that holds three.

I thought with this release it would support sprints wifi calling, but doesnt look like it? Bummer.
I wish Sprint would make a statement on it. T-Mobile supports it now, while Verizon and AT&T will sometime in 2015.

I'll be downloading SwiftKey right away. Only thing I truly missed from my Android days.

Needed almost 7 GB free (ouch) to download it.
Downloading now...

I finally was able to get my order in about 4:45 AM on Friday.
The text has changed slightly if you were looking for an iPhone 6. Looks like all iPhone 6 preorders are good to go.

I'm not really that bothered if it doesn't get to me Friday. iOS 8 comes out tomorrow and can tide me over until my 6 arrives. I do want to get some kind of notification from Sprint soon, as if I'm not getting it I'm going to the farm earlier.
-
Per sprints website regarding shipping, iPhone 6 Gold (all sizes), will be available for delivery on Sept. 19th. Very excited. (I don't know if the link will work). iPhone 6 silver and gray 16gb are delayed up to three weeks.
That's for new orders probably.
-
Well... But you have to be the first to test out the RF performance!
Believe me, when it comes in, I'll be doing a before speed tests and after with my iPhone 5 and the new iPhone 6. Hopefully others will as well.

You'll be camping and on your new iPhone all weekend.
Hehe, actually I turn off and put away my phone as soon as everyone gets there. That's the whole purpose of camping, getting away from it all!

Does Sprint use UPS or FedEx for its deliveries? I really hope my iPhone 6 arrives Friday morning and not evening as I'm going camping that weekend.
-
I'm guessing that's because Yosemite won't be out until October. Could be a fun month:
new iPads
Yosemite
Apple Pay
SMS Continuity

Fwiw, its actually an old name add-on to the original Macintosh line.
They could have gone even more old school and called it the 6e after the original Apple computer lineup. I have very fond memories of using an Apple IIe (and IIc) back in the day. Still waiting on someone to port Wavy Navy to iOS.

So when I did my preorder, it said nothing about changing to the actual i4L plan. Does that happen at activation?
-
Odd. When I am going through the checkout process for an iPhone 6 64GB, the space gray model required a new SIM card but the gold and silver models didn't.
Edit: Took a while but finally got the order through.
-
Got all the way to the end of checking out just now and it won't let me click to see the stupid lease for i4L. Grr.
-
Isn't there some "Hey Siri" feature now that always listens? Try turning that off.
-
Yes it does! My Plan was the SERO 500 at $30 then when you wanted cooler devices you needed to upgrade to the SERO-P which I did that was $40.00. Then on devices that were data hogs they added the $10.00 Premium data add on at $10 TOTALING $50.00
Man you'll be keeping that plan for the rest of your life! Mine is free mobile 2 mobile also, but that $70 vs $50 is a killer. I can basically pay the same as I am now but not have to buy the phone up front and have unlimited everything.
-
For me I'm on the SERO-P plan that costs me 50.00 a month and I still keep the subsidy. The new plan is Lease only no subsidy you pay almost full price.
Does that $50 include the $10 smartphone fee? My SERO is $60+$10 fee = $70.
