I'm an iPhone owner who really wants a bigger screen or I'm switching to Android. I got a new LG G2 for a penny via amazon the problem is that it doesn't have kit kat, that update is very nice and runs very smooth. I switch every week just to familiarize myself with Android. I prefer ios and love my iPhone but I have huge hands and a 5.5 inch screen would be perfect for me.
Yeah that's why I'm hoping there's two versions. a ~4.8" one that doesn't add much size to the 5/s in size and another one that's 5.5+" for those that want one.

I just don't want the iPhone to get too big. I like being able to easily carry it in my front pocket. I really hope Apple offers two versions.

The only problem is, spark doesn't benefit their entire market share. Only the percentage on Sprint. They should include it because apple touts their phone as having "the most LTE bands of any phone," and will likely implement band 41 to up that number. I'd say their main focus is making a new phone that is actually jammed with newer/better specs than in previous years. I think apple is finally realizing that people want a bigger device and will launch one this year. Then, non-apple users can end their biggest gripe about the iPhone's screen.
But as was posted earlier, B41 is getting rolled out by China Telecom. That's many millions of potential Apple users that they want to go after. So it's not just USA Sprint users that will benefit.

Just like other rumored features, we won't know that until probably the day it is released. I'd be surprised if it didn't though.

Sounds like something funky going on with iCloud. Try going into Settings | iCloud | Photos and turning off My Photo Stream or Photo Sharing for a while to see if it sorts it out.

How do Sprint phone upgrades work? My 2-yr contract on my iPhone 5 is up in October. If Apple releases a new iPhone in, say August, will I be able to get it then without penalty or will I have to wait until October to get it?

nope no notification. Must be a plug in or something outdated with the forum. No worries, back to timeline. It's just nice to have notifications because sometimes I miss replies because they get pushed far down on the timeline.

It works on some forums and not others, which leads me to think it's a server software issue. You can always go into the Notifications icon in Tapatalk and check it manually.

I use my iPad Air's charger with my iPhone 5 all the time with no ill effects.

Somewhere in this subforum there's a thread where we talked about this for battery life. There's some tips in there on apps/settings to change.

However, you are posting from a Comcast IP address, so you have wired broadband. LTE at home should be the least of your concerns, as you should be on your own Wi-Fi for data
You obviously don't have Comcast. I was excited when I finally got LTE inside my place for those times when the cable is out.

That's why I keep mine in a case! And when I take it out of the otterbox, I put a screen protector on it.
I do keep it in a case, but it only covers the sides and back. I also have an Otterbox Defender that I use when at the farm.

"Gorilla Glass" is just marketing language and even though its more dense than standard glass it is still glass and while it may protect against everyday items like keys, coins and minor bumps and scrapes it will not stand a chance against any type of sand/silica which by the way is probably the cause of 95% of all screen scratches. A sapphire screen would be awesome but I wonder how much of an additional cost that will be but whatever it is, I know it ain't cheap.
What peaked my interest in sapphire is this video demo of a company that makes sapphire screen protectors pulling a concrete block across an iPhone with their screen protector on it. Scratch-resistant isn't necessarily shatter-resistant, so I'll leave it to the review sites to handle the drop tests.
I actually don't have a screen protector on my iPhone 5, and (knock on wood) it still has a pristine face, even though at times my phone has been in the same pocket as my keys or knife.

When I was on Android I rooted it so I could upgrade the OS. T-Mobile was horrible about updates at the time. I haven't done it on iOS because I don't tinker as much now that I'm not in IT anymore.

As a Houston Sprint user, I would have found the iPhone 5s useful now, but I figure by the time Apple comes out with the iPhone 6, almost all of NV for Houston will be done, and hopefully the iPhone 6 will include band 41.
I'm not holding my breath on getting LTE 800 on my iPhone 5.

Does anyone have problem with facetime on sprint network?
I have an ipad mini retina and when im on lte or 3g its gets stuck on connecting, and never works. On wifi its work good.
Have you tried an audio-only FaceTime to see if it was any better? I wonder if the bandwidth is too poor. Try a speedtest just after having an issue and see what your connection speeds are.

Anyone have an idea why the DFW area (initial LTE launch city and secondary B41 launch city) has only a few CDMA 800 sites and not a lot like Houston or Chicago? The reason I ask is because I received a text message from Sprint stating, "Over the next month the new network will be largely completed in your area making it better than ever!" Not sure what to take from that. CDMA 800 on every site? Band 41 on every site? LTE 800 on every site? Thoughts?
As a Houstonian, the answer is obviously because Dallas sucks.
/just kidding.
//sort of.

Sprint really loves Texas.
For good reason.

I think that the issue with this was previously that Apple didn't make the APIs necessary for Sensorly public. So even with a jailbreak, the information that Sensorly needs just isn't available.
Not public doesn't mean not known, it just means only the OS vendor is allowed to use them. The issue is that had Sensorly used non-public APIs, Apple could have pulled the app from the store. Sensorly has floated the possibility of using Cydia for distribution of a proper app that does the things the iOS version can't do.

China Mobile is getting a TD-LTE iPhone 5S. Does anyone else think that this is good news? I think this greatly increases the probability of the iPhone 6 supporting TD-LTE and being tri-band.
I don't think anyone seriously thinks the 6 won't have LTE 2600. That's interesting that the China 5S will have it earlier though.

I also think it will be interesting to see how far out into the ocean coverage will work as well. I bet people on cruise ships will be able to get signal much further away from port than before.

For those of you with battery issues, try to minimize the things that run in the background. Those things add up to where it's doing things often on a cell network, draining the battery.
Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Turn off the ones that you don't need to check and download things automatically for you.
Settings > iTunes & App Store > Use Cellular Data. Turn off if you want automatic updates to only run on WiFi.

The GBA4IOS is also a lot of fun to play on the iPad. Goto www.gba4iosapp.com from Safari on your iPad to get it. You have to set your clock back to before 2/18/14 first, but once you launch it, you can fix the time without issue.
