I've started to just use a web browser instead.

Crashes on me every time I do this on any forum now. Left a 1 star review on this update. Completely unusable now.

Yep, it had to remove the old library synced on the phone, because it came from an iCloud backup.

 

Has Apple finally enabled users to delete music off their devices directly without iTunes?

I do this all the time.  You can also delete all music quickly as well.  

I'm thinking about maybe upgrading to an iPhone 6 for use when I travel outside of my 1xRTT/3G hellhole.

When I'm back home, though, are there any applications available that are similar to SignalCheck Pro? Something to show signal strength, LTE band, etc.?

Apps, not directly, but you can use the Engineering screen to get to all that info.  

Has anyone ever experienced entering your information into a field on a website, albeit a username or password, and it the key press freezes, locking up Safari until you close it and reopen?

YES! Though it seems to happen on my iPad, not iPhone 6.  Really annoying.  Seems to be something with autocorrect as it didn't happen when I turned that off.

Tapatalk just pushed their iOS 8/iPhone 6-6+ update. About time. It actually looks great, and they gave it the same interface as the android counterpart.

I didn't get a carrier iPad Air 2 (iPA2), but I did get a cellular version. Since AT&T will sim-lock the Apple SIM if you connect it to their network, I had Apple give me an AT&T sim card as well when I picked up my iPA2 so I can switch among the three carriers when needed.  

From the "learn something new every day" department, I found out that the bottom row of home screen icons on the iPA2 could take six apps until yesterday when I found out by accident.  

Reminds me of an Android app I used to use back in the day. Looks good.

There is nothing rational about saying a product deserves to be disliked. It's just a phone.

I used to have an Android phone, but that doesn't give me carte blanche to go into every thread about them and talk about how Google is ruining privacy or whatever.

Anyway, this is far enough offtopic as it is, and since apparently disagreement can be a bannable offense, I'll drop the matter and move on.

It is not bait.  My arguments are rational.  Good grief.

It's a shame that the ignore feature doesn't work on Tapatalk. 

My favorite iOS 8 feature is continuity because now I don't silently judge people for making me have to go pick up my iPhone anymore when I get an SMS message. I can respond from my iPad or the desktop.

I have a proven track record -- no "so called" necessary. Thanks.

What did you upgrade from? And, how do you like it so far?

Upgraded from the iPad Air.  Really like it so far, but I haven't used it too much since I went hunting this weekend. 

Just got my iPA2!  Now restoring from iCloud.

When I got it from the Apple Store locally, I got them to give me a spare AT&T sim card so I won't have to worry about my Apple sim getting carrier-locked.

Anyone think we could maybe make this the "iPhone Users Thread"? Sure, we have a lot of 6 and 6 plus users, but do we really need to have a seperate thread for all other iPhones?

No I don't.  The 6 and 6+ are different than other iPhones.  They have Band 41, Apple Pay, etc.  What's the point of having an iOS forum if you're going to corral so many things together?

This Apple Sim kerfuffle is annoying.  So what am I supposed to do, get two Apple Sim cards? One for switching between Sprint and T-Mobile and the other for using with AT&T?

Anyone try out Apple Pay yet?  I've only been able to use it once but it worked well.  I hope its use takes off as I really like the increased security.

So there were a lot of rumors of this, but iFixit just did a teardown of the iPA2 and confirmed that it has 2 GB RAM.  Finally!

Ha. I wish I had a spare $280 laying around. I would buy that from you in 1 second. Should've sold my iPad 4th gen, but it's got applecare and I don't feel like going through the eBay or amazon process to sell it lol. It does the job just fine.Hopefully iOS 8.1 which I am installing on it will make it a little less laggy. 

I didn't feel like using ebay/etc either.  I already have a $205 Apple gift card from when I sold my iPhone 5, so I'll be getting the iPA2 for almost nothing (at least that's what I'm telling my wife).
