  1. I've had the impression that their current technology in regards to the cellular equipment that they deploy is a bit dated compared to the competition. I'm sure that doesn't help. The tech industry is fast paced and if you aren't at the forefront, then you are left behind and quickly irrelevant.

So is NV equipment dated then?
  2. 11/01/2012 is my first documented ticket on the current issue for the site.  It's still broke as of today.  Between me and another member we've probably opened about 30-40 tickets this year on the site.  They let my co-worker out of his contract with his brand new 5 lines and phones scott free over the site.  I've gotten probably $300+ in credits over the site.  Opened another ticket today to start the process for more credits and cover my butt for going over my 300meg roaming due to this site.  Seems like it would be easier to fix and provide the customers in the downtown area with a working data connection.  :wall:

what's going on with this site? The site that I use when I'm at my office has had a bad echo for 8 months now , I have called many many times and have gotten a few cedits, and many promises that it will be repaired soon but no fix yet. the kicker is my office is a sprint connect line. This site has LTE but stops 200 yards before my office driveway.
  3. This has been discussed at length in this thread.  Just search, but you will want your MSL so that you can change your LTE scan timer.

Did this help your device? I searched for MSL and found nothing.
  4. Was there ever a fix to the LTE issue on the EVO?  LTE service is starting to pop up around me and my device want connect to it unless I airplane mode it.  My wife's Samsung s3 picks up LTE with out any problems.   Any thoughts?  Thanks!

  5. I guess my first step would be to use an different messaging app that has the option to automatically break messages, set it as the default messaging app, and see what happens. Also, what phone did you have on Verizon? I know iPhones like to send the full message text as one regardless of who they're sending too... I've had issues with that getting messages from my AT&T friends. It just comes through in the wrong order sometimes when their iPhone is acting funny.

I have the problem of , all long mesg. Coming in in random order too. This happens on my HTC LTE and my wifes gs3 too., we both noticed this starting about 2 months ago. I also often don't get all long text mesg parts until hour later. Sprint blamed it on NV.
  6. Well i rode by the tower behind hamricks on white horse in berea while i was tuning my car and it looked like there were some antennas laying against the fence, Didn't have time to look had to mess with my car running the way it was i had to nurse it home but hope its sprint upgrading stuff.

that site has Benn finished for 2 months. Those are Sprints old antennas, been laying there for a few months.
  7. I live off Cedar Lane rd and i get a ping of 538 ms a download of 0.46mbps and a upload of the same. Also i work at the O'reillys in berea and i get even worse signal in there. i hope they get it up soon. I might go down the motor mile to get another phone, if he comes down on the price :) but the network is improving slowly but surely it is;

in northern tr my evdo speeds doubled. In the city of tr speed are the same no backhaul is in place yet on eather sitesyet. AT&T is installing backhaul I'm guessing. Please correct me if I'm wrong about the backhaul
  8. Well I goto school at GTC and it's even on everyday I goto school so, I'm sure they might have been working on it and it's still active.Do you have an IPhone? My buddy has one and that's also the way we goto work and sometimes his iPhone won't pick it up and my s3 will

nope, I have HTC EVO. The worse Sprint device for LTE, but my phones 4g worked fine during work travels. I airplane mode my device many times while I was down that way. You are right they turn off to update something on the site.

There's also a patch near Haywood Mall. And it's very fast, check my speed test a few posts above.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using TapaTalk 2

Love to see this!  I will get to have some Greenville LTE tonight.  I have a thing to go to at the Irish Pup that is sitting in a hot bed of LTE.  Hopefully the LTE network will grow some more in the coming weeks.  A employee of mine said he is getting LTE off Rutherford near downtown.  I will try to show him how to map this.

  10. I burried my old HTC EVO (WIMAX)  in a 20 + plus deep pit we had dug out on a job to bury rocks.  When I figered out I missplaced it was after the hole was covered, packed and finished.  I called it to see if it was still on or went to voice mail right away, which would indicate it was crushed and not worth my time to find it.  I opened the hole back up and hour later after sifting through rock and dirt I found it with just a broken Otter Box case and a cracked screen still on and working.

  11. So why would someone pay insurance when they can not use it in the first place? Shouldn't have bought the phone in the first place if that was the case.I keep mine in an Otterbox and then self insure my devices and pay myself. If I break the device then I take that money that I am making interest on and buy a new device or pay for the repair.

Otterbox makes one of the best cases on the market with a lifetime warranty. I have used them since I got my first smart phone so I dropped my insurance too after I found out a good case means everything to the life of a device. I work outdoors a lot in the dust and dirt and I can take my year old EVO LTE out of the case and it still looks new.
