  1. How can you be a participant at a wireless industry focused web site and not know the massive anti trust objections that would arise from a VZW-Sprint merger?  Now, that is a serious question.

To educate myself in areas that I have little to no knowledge in.

I Should have structured the question differently.. What would be the fall back of said merger?

  2. Sprint really needs to add sites in rural areas, areas that foke like myself mark with the Sprint Zone app. that are lacking usable data. Not wanting to be negative but b26 helped but not nearly enough. Many of these areas are products of urban sprawling which moves quickly and sprint has gotten years behind. Sprint needs to figure out how to be ahead of urban sprawling! Fiber lines are some of the first utilities to come in new areas, look at the data thats publicly available! Stay ahead of the curve make friends with the permit offices way by either "sales pitching them" with the amounts of spectrum you have to offer the area, this is if its difficult to get the proper permits remember NV? Find a way to stream line it! Lots of us work in the city but move to the suburbs where Sprint is hurting! This is what most perspective/current customers want, voice and data connection that are stable.

  3. I was looking at them. I need to upgrade my Netgear Zing. Looking at sprint.com I don't think it supports 3g connections. I also dont think it supports 2x CA. When you have time i would be interested to see if how they work.

so far so good. The RF performance is similar to my Note 5, and you are correct no 3g fall back. I need to read up on CA don't know much about the differences, I do need to post a screen shot of signal check of a site near me that speeds increased dramatically from 8mbps to 20mbps on average now.

  4. Quite often, the song you are looking for is already a ringtone if you search the Zedge app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.zedge.android&hl=en

If it isn't, you'll have a hard time making a streaming service a ringtone.  There are a LOT of apps that can make ringtones from mp3s, but you have to own the mp3s first.  If you really, really, really want that perfect song ringtone, just buy the song and use one of those apps.  I think Zedge even does it, or you can use something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.herman.ringtone&hl=en

Zedge is a great app. I missed my Samsung bird whistle for messages. Zedge even had it, along with some really loud tones for people that need them.
  5. Satellite internet is shitty...use what you have to man..I'd do the same thing..

Thanks! The thing is we aren't using large amounts of data, on average each month we use 30 GB between the both of us. We try not to use excessive amounts after learning from this site the toll "data abuse" can be on a wireless network. I really wish we had broadband access, but our land and location is more important than the aspect of moving or choosing a different area to live in because the lack of broadband. I've sent multiple letters to charter, AT&T and my county councilor for help, but the few other tracks of land with dwellings down our road isn't profitable for broadband to come to us.

  6. Nope, had it before and didn't work because tree's. When I first got satellite Internet it was late fall, so trees didn't have foliage present and it worked okay and was told by the provider i wouldn't have any problems. When spring rolled around it stopped working pretty much all the time, so paid my way out of the contract.

  7. I would strongly suggest that u talk to a sprint associate at a retail store to get the full details. To me if u buy the device outright u are not signing up for a new contract.

I hate to bust ur balls but LTE should not be used as your home ISP.

im planning to get some clarification from a retail store if I can find one that knows anything about it, seems when i have asked they have no clue about what im talking about. Yesterday I called 1 retailer, and stopped by another larger retailer, no clue .

I have NO other sources for home internet service! "It is want it is" sorry to be that person. Like I said in my earlier post SOME month we reach over 23GB combined.

  8. Don't know but from the quote I posted in my last post it seems like if you upgrade your device which to me interprets Sprint Lease, Easy Pay or 2 year upgrade. Just because you opt to do a lease does not mean you are not upgrading your phone...you still are. The only difference between a lease and the other options is price and whether you have to return the device.

My guess it would apply to all unlimited plans regardless if its SERO, Everything Data, My Way, All-in, Framily, Family Pack, etc but who knows. Maybe someone that works at Sprint can chime in and confirm this.

I'm guessing if you buy a device outright that would be upgrading to, or not?

Unfortunately the reason im asking is i have to depend on sprint for my home internet due to no wire line available to my house, so i do stream netflix. Between my wife and myself we have used over 23GB combined Some months. Hopefully its 23gb per line on each account. Its highly unlikely our network is congested around my house .

  9. This is a pretty specific situation.  You won't be throttled unless you are on a congested tower at peak times.  Otherwise, you'll have normal usage and speeds.  I think it's a reasonable way to approach this versus always throttling you when you hit a certain number like T-mobile does.   There's a small percentage of folks out there that really abuse the data (illegal tether) and some that are using it legitimately and use that much data.  In either case, though, I think this is a reasonable solution.

Is this per line on each account or per account? Example... My wife undated her device a few days ago. Would it effect my line thats an older device, to the 23GB cap too?
  10. Yes it looks like it will be if you upgrade your device post 10/16. They didn't mention any plans exempt from this. If you are currently under contract (Easy Pay, Lease, 2 year contract) prior to 10/16, the new terms don't apply until you get a new device. How convenient when the new single line $70 plans were launched.

    Thanks
  11. Damn...why couldnt this offer occur 2 weeks ago when I upgraded to the Note 5 in concurrence with the Samsung Pay wireless charger promo.  Well I think overall I am still happy with the timing of my purchase since I did get in on the free wireless charger (priced at $50 retail) but more importantly lock in for 2 years uncapped unlimited data which is pretty important to lock in before 10/16 when the new 23 GB data cap kicks in.

23 GB cap? Is this on all plans?
  12.

26 hours? That's impressive. I usually only use about 200-300 minutes a month.

I'm a heavy voice user. Last month 8000 plus minutes, this month 6000 plus with 15 day's still to go this month, text around 1000 to 1500 per month, and 12 to 20 gigs of data monthly.
