Which I don't understand lots of Florida has both 3x41 and 15x15 B25. Now Miami is 3x41 and only 5x5 for everything else but still

I know for the West Palm/Miami market indoor reception reception is a big problem. A lot of concrete and steel building and only 5x5 of B26 which wasn't deployed initially at the start of LTE deployment. Cell spacing isn't the best either for the more residential areas.

  2. Has anyone else noticed a massive slow down of LTE specifically on MIMO site after 5G was turned on. There are two sites in Astoria Queens thats i can get over 10Mbps no matter the time of day. Upload speeds are unaffected at around 10 to 15 Mbps. Speed test have been done when in view of the tower as well. I wonder if its a backhaul issue either Fibre or microwave since the 2 sites are really close to each other.

Looks like Altice doesn't take unlocked S10's yet. My device wouldn't activate at all. Interestingly there are no VoLTE settings but there are WiFi Calling options in the dialer menu. I'm pretty sure that Altice Mobile is an LTE only MVNO.

it wont accept my Sprint branded Galaxy S10 thats unlocked. BYOD doesn't recognize the IMEI #

I just ordered a SIM for Altice Mobile but since I'm based in Boston right now, it's getting delivered to my home in New York and then I'm getting it mailed to me so I won't be able to test it until next week most likely. The deal was just too good to pass up. Unlimited everything and no deprioritization for $20/month + taxes and fees along with access to both Sprint and AT&T's network sounds too good to be true.

I plan on switching over my second phone number to Altice Mobile sometime this weekend. Im currently using a cheap Tello plan for my second number. Really curious how the switching between Sprint and AT&T will be and what type of Roaming on Sprint there is. Also wondering if it will try to connect to Optimum hotspots before it uses a mobile network for data.

  5. Went back to the store today and they had the OnePlus on display. Its a nice phone and I'm really tempted to get it at $20 a month. Suprised they picked that store to sell it since none of the 5G phones there were connected to 5G. I know there are several 5G sites in that area too. I would really like to be able to test out the 5G network.

  6. One thing I noticed about the none 5G version is that it lacks BC10 for CDMA for voice. They only have BC0, BC1 listed as supported. Don't know if this will apply to the 5G variant

  7. I went to the Sprint store on 34th st mentioned in the press release. Couldn't find it on display so i was checking out the 2 V50s they have (one was on LTE and 2nd was on Wifi) when the store manager came up behind me and asked if need any help. I always see him in the store and he's always been very helpful. I told him I was looking to see if they had the One+ on display since they were one of the store that are suppose to have it today. He told me it won't be on display until tomorrow. As I turned around another man not in a Sprint uniform stopped me and asked if I was interested in buying the phone today. I explained that I just wanted to check it out since 5G launched today. He offered to get the phone from the back and demo it for me. I felt bad since I'm probably not going to buy and said I would come back tomorrow since the store was really busy. Probably the busiest I've seen that location. I have a feeling the 2nd employee must have been from corporate. Wish I didn't forget his name.

  8. i went to the flagship Sprint store on Wednesday in Flat Iron and the phones there didn't have 5G. The LG V50 had no sim card in it. The Galaxy S10 5G only had LTE. Going to check the Herald Square location later today and maybe the store in Astoria where there has been a lot of M-MIMO popping up.

  9. I'll be heading down to Disney in Orlando tomorrow morning. First time there in 17 years so I have no clue how the Sprint network is. What is the PCS situation there? And any idea what percentage of sites have B41 installed? Also is there a DAS in Disney and if so what bands does it distribute. Thanks in advance!

  10. Sorry for all the spamming. This is my last post of the day.

M-MIMO under the 59th street bridge. These are my speeds today on the Island.

I also found at least 5 crown castle sites. Sprint is not on them, not sure who is. 1495737c95235ce94fb5037b287f4158.jpg99595de9b158fbe905840cc2c33cae7d.jpge6e482d5f41cbcd661a860207e17cab2.jpg67a0b3f4dd48caeb2d5a5c2357e8a97a.jpg6778bd94d11f18198afd4a90939d3bfb.jpg

  11. I picked up a V50, no 5G available in NYC yet. Drove from 42nd to 181st hit zero 5G, but speeds are super solid regardless averaging between 50-200mbs on LTE with V50.
That also might explain the ramping up of backhaul preparing for that extra 40-60Mhz that 5G will bring online.
I've been thinking about this but I might wait for the S10 5G and sell my S10+. Or if they have a really good trade in promo for my S9 again. I kept my S9 when I bought the S10+ even though they offered $550 and it's barely worth $400 online.

I used to be a fan of LG phones but when I switched to Samsung I realized I had been missing out.

At home, M-MIMO received upgrade backhaul, now my download speed doubled from 120 mbps to 240 mbps offload at 4 AM.

I've been wondering what type of backhaul site have. Do we know if any sites have been upgrade to Gigabit or even Multi Gigabit for M-MIMO sites? Some of the M-MIMO Sites I've tested at late night / early hours can barely break 200Mbps. I know I'm never going to hit the theoretical top speeds of ~700mbps but I would think we could be reaching over 300Mbps
