  1. Same. Don't forget John Saw (Sprint's CTO) is speaking tomorrow at a global tech conference so hopefully we learn something tomorrow and then a follow up during the AMA session.http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20161130005007/en/Sprint-CTO-John-Speak-Barclays-Global-Technology

I just want a concrete window for VoLTE lol

Good point. There's definitely something in the works with all these Conferences and now the AMA too.

  2. Several years ago, Foxconn was thinking about building a 30 million facility near Harrisburg, Pa to develop robotic equipment. However, it never was done. Maybe it will now????

Could be. $50 Billion is a huge amount of money.

This is an exciting time for Sprint, also because of SoftBank's ownership of ARM and the special access Sprint might have to tech through its parent.

Maybe we'll also see better Sprint coverage on Trump properties! Lol.

  3. In case anyone wanted to see the video...

Moments Ago: Softbank CEO Masayoshi Son arrives at Trump Tower in New York City.

BREAKING: Pres.-elect Trump makes surprise visit in Trump Tower lobby, says Softbank will invest $50B into the US to create 50,000 new jobs

    https://twitter.com/CNBCnow/status/806216487585325056

  4. And now we have PEOTUS Trump making news about this on Twitter...

"Masa (SoftBank) of Japan has agreed to invest $50 billion in the U.S. toward businesses and 50,000 new jobs...."

    https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/806214078465245185

"Masa said he would never do this had we (Trump) not won the election!"

    Well that was quick...

  5. It seems that "One Sprint" has been overhauled according to this article, which also discussed the non-compete provision which kept the new Chief Digital Officer from joining Sprint until now.

    http://www.kansascity.com/news/business/technology/article119023533.html

Sprint is now divided into two areas instead of four: East and West

The former Verizon guy who headed up the Northeast area left a few months ago.

  6. Finally...I just took a glance at it and the good thing is that you don't have zoom too close to see how the coverage is set up. I do wish they fill in the highways that are marked with 3G. Either way I'm glad they've updated the map!

According to Günther, more Coverage Map improvements are coming: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/5gmkkl/coverage_map_update_sort_of/datjyfa/

  7. Sprint to double down on $3.5B spectrum leaseback deal

    http://www.fiercewireless.com/wireless/sprint-to-double-down-3-5b-spectrum-leaseback-deal

According to the CFO's statements at a Conference today, Sprint is doubling down on its spectrum leaseback arrangement, offering a second tranche that could raise another $3.5 billion.

Smart plan to keep costs down. Money in and money out is what it's all about.

Me too! Hopefully they continue to invest in it. It would be great to have a tower upgrades overlay.

  10. Sprint has really held its own these last two quarters. Great to see 60M customers total again.

I'm confident Marcelo will cut another billion in operating cost as he pledged to do. The old sprint was run by a group of people whose business acumen had matured in a 90s wireline culture. They weren't ever going to see it much differently. Keep cutting the fat, Marcelo.

Well said. Looking back now, it's remarkable what Marcelo and his team have accomplished so far.

Things were really bad across multiple fronts when he came on board due to poor management and execution. It's too easy to forget that.

Sprint is being run as SoftBank USA by Marcelo. That's exactly what's needed here.
