  1. Don't have 1x800 in my area! I'm jealous

    Sent from my Nexus 6

Id only be jealous if there were Band 25/26 LTE avail along with it.  I mean yes voice calls do get clearer with 1x800, but I dont talk much on the phone, more so use it for data.  So I wouldnt be to jealous.  my Nexus 6 picks up 1x800 quite a bit more than the Galaxy S5.

  2. Hey guys just curious, what is the strongest 1x800 signal you all have experienced on the Nexus 6?  a few minutes ago I had set my phone down on my table and i had -50dbm, and I am about 1.5 miles away from my nearest tower.  Where is my foil hat when i need it???  lol.  just kidding.  I know that that wont harm me.  But I was just curious about that.

  3. Um.... I dont know what your talking about, all services were working for me at midnight.... Maybe it was just your area....

I'm pretty sure it was a nationwide outage unless you had an iPhone... Otherwise midnight eastern time texting outbound went down...

  4. Do not I repeat do not get hughsnet unless its all that is avail... You will smack yourself. Trust me on that one. Their data caps are horrid. And they overcharge. Plus you have to sign a contract as well. Its pretty fast at first then comes the 10gig data cap... I'd suggest you stick with Comcast. Plus on cloudy/stormy days you lose connectivity all the time.

  5. After playing with the new update for about 5 days, it definitely is an improvement moving from band to band. Especially from 3g to LTE, it is extremely quick to move away from 3G onto LTE.

Signal strength is about the same, scan times are just much faster.

    Very good experience so far.

Does yours latch onto Band 41 much easier with the update?  I was having a bit of issue with doing so on 5.0, now on 5.0.1 I latch onto Band 41 pretty quickly.

Also I am wondering if anyone else is having the same signal issue I do.  While out and about my nexus 6 is in my lap in the car and it generally drops down to 3G quite a bit, but If its sitting upright or on my dash it picks up LTE much easier.  When sitting flat in my lap though I am dropped to 3G a ton while my GS5's latch onto LTE no matter where they are sitting.

thats literally all that turbo means, the order to increase the speed of the backhaul has gone through and is active so B41 can run at full speed. Spark = B41 signal is being broadcast, Turbo = backhaul has been increased so B41 can ohit ~80meg download speeds (assuming all other factors are favorable for those speeds).

I hit 77+ today!!! I'm the middle of nowhere! Lol.

  7. Hey Mike got a question for ya.  So are you going to eliminate the differentiation between Sprint B41 and Clear B41 sites in your newest version of Signalcheck?  or are you improving upon that?  I was just curious if it was possible for you to put a star in the notification panel next to it like you did in the app when it is a Clear B41.  I know your beta is probably nearly released, but I was just curious if that was something you are working on or whatnot?  Thanks for the hardwork on this app.  The neighboring cells feature on my nexus 6 works awesomely!  To bad when i set it down in my lap most of the time while in the car I lose LTE in alot of places.  Oh well.  Have agreat Holiday Season!

  8. I never experienced the sms issue other than not being able to text while on a call.  So after the update I noticed improved Band 41 reception (Clear).  I had been latching onto Band 26 mostly prior to the update.  Driving around Jacksonville, FL after the update I latched onto nearly every Clear B41 site.  Was almost constantly attached to a Clear site.  Found a few Sprint B41 sites as well.  Will update in the other discussion as to which ones they were once I check my logs.

  9. I was down in Jacksonville, FL this afternoon/evening and my Nexus 6 did its update from 5.0 to 5.0.1.  Well prior to that I was latching on more so to 800 towers and a bunch of Band 25.  Well after the update driving around, I was on Clear B41 the vast majority of my driving.   So I think that the 5.0.1 update may have helped with band priorities at the very least.  Just wanted to say that Jacksonville, FL is pretty much blanketed in Clear B41 and I picked up a few Sprint B41 sites throughout the city (3 that i noticed).  So progress is being made.  Slowly but surely...

  10. I recently had my S5 unlocked by Sprint.  I noticed roaming option was not available under more networks.  Did it move somewhere?

I had this issue with a brand new S5.  you have to completely wipe the phone and do a full brand new restoration.  You will notice other settings missing as well.  Doing this fixed mine.

  11. I receive texts but can't send. Its wierd. Just tested in a different area and same issue... Sprint says its a device issue. But I am not driving 45 minutes to the nearest repair center... Frustrating. First no data while talking when I swapped from note 3 to galaxy s5 then this on the nexus 6...
