  1. Worth Ave Group seems to be a pretty well respected option for 3rd party insurance that might be worth a look.
  2. I had an unexpected experience last night with this. I am not fully integrated. I have a separate Google Voice number and I simply use Google Voice as my Sprint voicemail. I do have the new Hangouts and the new Hangouts dialer. I had set it up to receive GV text messages, voicemails and incoming phone calls through Hangouts on the phone. Receiving GV incoming phone calls through Hangouts created an interesting result. When I get an incoming Sprint call on my Sprint number the phone rings and if I don't answer it then it rolls to Google Voice voicemail as expected. However, once it rolled then I received a new incoming phone call through Hangouts from my GV number and I had to wait for that call to expire before the caller could actually leave a voicemail message. It appears that Google Voice is not distinguishing between no answer call forward from the Sprint line and an incoming call. It is ringing the Hangouts app in both circumstances. I'm going to play around with some of the call rules and see if there is a way to overcome this.
  3. No, in my situation Sprint trying to remove Google Voice SOC would not work. It kept returning. I had to physically delete my Sprint number from the Google Voice website before it could be removed on Sprint's end.
  4. My phone also went through a stage where I could not receive or place calls or text messages due to the failed Google Voice integration. The only thing that worked for me after hours of working with Sprint was to disable every feature on the Google Voice website that involved my mobile phone and then completely removing my mobile phone from Google Voice. Literally deleting it. After that my phone was fine and I could add it back to Google Voice without a problem but I have never attempted the full integration again after that.
  5. Those of you experiencing problems activating the Sprint integration with Google Voice did you happen to change plans? My integration quit working after midnight the day I switched to the new plans from Framily and I've not been able to use anything but voicemail lite integration since then.
  6. If a USCC roaming agreement happend will the Nexus 5 work or will I need to go to the new Motorola for that? I do a lot of traveling in rural Iowa so USCC would be huge for me personally.
  7. What advantages would this phone have for a Nexus 5 owner? Just better roaming support?
  8. I've been reading reviews of poor battery life as well but I have a hard time believing that most of those are real world. From my understanding, only a very select few have had this device for any significant period of time. The few reviewers that have used it for weeks are reporting closer to 14 hours battery life. My suspicion is that most of these bloggers that just got their hands on it in the last few days have been using the heck out of the device since it is new and draining the battery faster than real world conditions. Time will tell. For $250 dollars I'm willing to be a guinea pig.
  9. Thanks. Yes, I understand that it would have to be manufactured with compatible frequencies in cooperation with Sprint. I was just curious since they are moving to SIM registering if it was more likely that that cooperation would continue in the future? Once I went stock Android I know it is going to be very hard for me to go back to anything else.
  10. Does CSIM mean an increased chance that unlocked phones like the next version of the Nexus 5 will continue to be supported by Sprint in the future?
  11. It isn't like Masa is actually sitting at his desk and managing the details. He isn't a successful billionaire without being able to work through multiple strategic ideas at the same time.
  12. I don't agree with that. Few companies can afford to forgo revenue to make someone look bad because of vengeance. Even Samsung doesn't stop supplying Apple if Apple wants to buy something.
  13. Perhaps Hesse wanted an exit strategy and merger on or merger off was the milestone for that to happen? Nothing says this isn't happening on his terms.
  14. I I had strange issue last night where I had my phone plugged in overnight but woke up to 77% battery life. Here is what the battery graph looks like with all kinds of spikes overnight. The phone was on wifi overnight. I don't see any evidence that we have the power outage in the house. What I thought was weird is that the mobile network signal color bar ends and never comes back including now where I've been off wifi and on a mobile signal for over 2 hours. Any idea what's going on with having no continuation of the mobile network signal bar?
  15. In the press release that announced international calling and SMS over WiFi coming in two weeks, they were silent on what devices would support this. Curious what to expect.
  16. I didn't see a dedicated thread for my question yet. Does anyone know the details of Sprint's announced voice over WiFi capability and whether the Nexus 5 will be supported?
  17. Does anyone know status of the two towers north of Champaign along I-57 near Paxton, IL and the one north of that? I'll be at Bayle's Lake and curious what to expect if 800 has been rolled out there yet.
  18. I just read this announcement on new agreements between sprint and several regional carriers: http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/06/sprint-announces-expansion-rural-areas-regional-carriers.html'> http://www.androidheadlines.com/2014/06/sprint-announces-expansion-rural-areas-regional-carriers.html Are these agreements different than just basic roaming agreements? I was confused as to whether Sprint customers currently had absolutely no service of any kind, including roaming, in these areas and now we will be able to roam? Or is this service like we are in a home Sprint area?
  19. Wouldn't it be the spectrum itself that is viewed as the most valuable and the most long-term strategic advantage? I wouldn't think that the technology deployed in that spectrum is necessarily as big of a deal. Network Vision seemed to show us that with billions of dollars and 3 years you can convert about anything from one technology to another so maybe they just view GSM/CDMA as a short term hurdle to get to a much longer term goal.
  20. I don't see any conflict in those statements at all. It seems that Hesse said nothing in the near term and the comments posted above say that Son clearly said both the words long term and eventually. Seems like they are trying to make something out of nothing.
  21. Well, I am not sure if it was deleting it and adding it back in or the reboot of the phone but I'm back in business.
  22. Very strange. All of my other forums are fine. I logged out of this forum in Tapatalk and now it won't even let me log in. Same message. I deleted it from Tapatalk, am rebooting my phone and I'll try to add it back in.
  23. Today I tried to use the forums with Tapatalk and got a message "You are not allowed to visit this community." I use it multiple times per day for a long time now. Going in to the forums through the website is fine - no access issues. Any ideas?
