Bringing up the 1x800 topic, I noticed that yes, it appears it is difficult to get the phone to attach to this frequency under normal conditions. However if a call is initiated when the phone is connected to B26, the call will connect through 1x800.

Performance on the iPhone 6 with Band 41 is fantastic. Wouldn't surprise me if it did reach that far!Use the dialer code *3001#12345#* to get to the engineering screens, if the 6 is like earlier iPhones..
It's just that your speed test is insanely fast for that distance from the 176/31 site. I was there this afternoon (my daughter rrnys a storage locker litetally right under it) and was getting mid 20's, and have gotten mid 60's at the McBurgers across 276, but 50's from miles away is teally fast.

Question about bringing my Nexus 5 to Ting.. I just switched my number to my new iPhone 6, but for site and network deployment purposes, the Nexus 5 is way more useful. Will it catch on to B26 and B41 on Ting? Do I need a new sim? Or should it swap seamlessly?

Thanks! I'll have to catch the GCI next time so we can figure out what site that wasYou absolutely can get the the gci. You have to covert the cell identity decimal to hex. Add a zero to the beginning of your result. Use this one. http://www.binaryhexconverter.com/decimal-to-hex-converter

I'm on the iPhone 6 now so I don't think I can get GCI'S.. And I think it may be from the site at 31 and 176How can that be? There aren't any B41 sites for miles. Did you get a GCI?

What LTE band(s) were you on? I know the tower next to the stadium has at least B25 and B41.For the first time ever, I had a decent signal for most of the game at Brighthouse Stadium. 44,000+ in attendance so it was a pretty good test. In past years, the signal has been so bad that the phone's battery is almost run down to 0% by the end of the game.

Coming from the Nexus 5 the power button seems so natural being there [emoji3]This battery is so much better than my 5s! I got a 6 128g it took a couple oh hours to get used to the larger size! And its awesome but i really wish power button was still on top, I keep trying to hit a button that isn't there!

I'm honestly surprised there is no app out there. But then again the way Apple is with their overprotected iOS environment, maybe it's not that surprising. It is. Maybe a few apple nerds /geniuses could dive into the deep dark corners of ios and find out if it's possible with the less controlled ios 8....

How is B25 / B26 on campus? They turned it on literally right after I left back in May.don't know what to expect from b41. i did a speed test right by CFE arena, got 9.78mbps down 2.95 up with a 66ms ping. hope to get better eventually

- The RF performance seems pretty much the same as the N5 on the newer radios. I drop LTE at the same areas (while in my building's elevator while in the basement where the parking garage is), but the 3G performance seems great! I was pulling down 2.30 mbps with a -105 dBm signal on 3G! The device seems to pick up LTE much, much faster than either the N5 or G2. While coming up the elevator, it picked LTE up again before I got into my apartment (30 seconds). I can't evaluate the device on B41 though since there aren't any live sites around here.
If anyone has any suggestions for someone new to the iPhone as a whole, please share. I had a iPhone 4S for a couple months at my old job about a year ago, but I never really got into it. It was 3G only of course, and on Verizon which has the WORST 3G network around here. I don't think I ever had a speedtest over 250 kbps with it.
RF performance is killer and scan times seem almost instant from a 3G drop perspective. I hop back on LTE within 30 seconds usually.
And yes, suggestions for new iPhone users like me would be awesome. Still trying to get used to this dramatic change lol

Finally switched to the Apple side. I'm now an owner of an iPhone 6 64gb! I had no issues buying the phone, but the people who were getting theirs activated after me had issues because apparently their system was down for a bit. It's going to be an interesting transition since I've been on Android since 2011... But. I have to say the RF performance on this device beats the Nexus 5. Especially in the B41 department. Which is excellent.

I'm not sure, I know last time we got our phones upgraded everyone on our account got free activations. My Dad gets a government discount of like 20% as well (only the main line). I'll have to see if the credit union discount will impact his existing one. I just want free activation tbh. Those fees always piss me off.Free activation credit union thing?
Oh... I see above. Cool. Can I just use that once? I have a 20% petsmart discount already.

Went to the Sprint store in town here, they said they have all models in all colors. Surprisingly the store was empty. I just have to go put myself as an authorized user on my Dad's account and I'll get the phone later this afternoon. Anyone know if they still do the free activation credit union thing?

Doubt it. I'd assume my plan would stay the same.wonder if it will change the charge from $15/line "access fee" to the $40/line access fee with the new share data plan
-
I may do a chat with online customer support later and ask to see if it would impact my upgrade eligibility. I'll keep everyone posted when I find out.

I'm not sure honestly. I skimmed through the terms and conditions and I don't believe it mentioned anything about upgrade eligibility. I hope it is open ended, that would be fantastic. If it is, we would be able to get a $400 dollar credit and 5 discounted phones when all is said and done.So is the deal they give you $80 to not get a new phone? or is it just open ended?

Hey everyone I wanted to bring this up because I haven't seen this being discussed anywhere else. Feel free to merge this with another topic if needed.
So basically I noticed when I logged onto my sprint.com account today that clicking on my "contract details" I was offered to extend for 1 year and receive an $80 credit for each line on my ED1500 plan. It looks to be a loyalty perk of some sort, and I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere.
I haven't signed up for the credit yet because I'm afraid it might affect my upgrade eligibility, since we are all almost due for new phones. If it doesn't impact it, this seems like a hell of a deal they are offering current customers!

I had one text fail today, but nothing beyond that. Hit resend and it worked right away.Been having lots of texts fail to send on my Nexus 5 today, when sending over LTE or 1x. Is it me or some kind of network issue?
