Anyone having issues with dropped calls this week? I've had two in the last 24 hours

And streaming spotify too! Good battery life. I was streaming bluetooth to my sound system while I study, and I am currently on 4 hours 3 mins usage with 4 hours 30 of standby. I am at 55% battery. Pretty good considering bluetooth usually eats my battery up when it's active.

I was also using Bluetooth with my soundbar thing for a few hours as well. Also helped that I was on WiFi 98 percent of the time since I was working from home today.
Now if I turned the wifi off and went to the basement for a few hours, I'd be guaranteed to lose the rest of my battery since I get a fringe 1x1900 signal down there usually.

This happens to me all the time. Seems as if I need a really strong 3G connection in order for it to work.Anyone else having issues with running the Field Test app on their phones? Most of the time especially while I'm on 3g it spins on "connecting" but never actually does.

The wifi is great inside at disney, but the service outside is perfect. I can't complain. I go there a lot as I have friends who work there... Still no b26 there though. Only 25, and haven't been able to test if there is b41.

I was there all the time too. This is the first year in the last 3 I won't be able to go to Halloween Horror nights. I'm so sad about this.
There is Band 41 but it was really weak on my Nexus 5. I think there is a clear 41 site on one of those hotels across the street on Kirkman. You'll probably have a better experience with the iPhone 6.

Sprint definitely needs to get something high capacity over on Universal property. I've never had a good network experience there. They do. Att has a tower on top of mummy and in the hogwarts castle. At work in toon lagoon is get 3 bars of b26 and my phone battery lasts twice as long as it did before I imagine because it isn't trying to find a better signal.
I also heard about AT&T having a similar agreement with Disney and that they would be installing hidden small cells throughout the parks.. But honesty from what I've heard Sprint is pretty good at Disney, likely because everyone is on WiFi and all the sites on property are updated. When I worked there 3 years ago it was abysmal.

I have 70 shares I bought at 7.75 a few months ago (so down like $100 so far [emoji25]). I kind of want to add to my position and maybe scoop up another 50 before they release Q3. If I'm feeling balsy when earnings come around I may go long with some options, buuut I need to do some further analysis first.

This is standing in front of Gringots in Diagon Alley at Universal. Unfortunately I had to tether to my wife's AT&T phone to upload this... Data nonexistent and she has a full signal. Must be a DAS.
The tiny little 5x5 PCS carrier probably can't handle all the traffic. A signal to noise ratio (SNR) of 0.2 is really really low and likely means the airline is saturated. This was what happened last year in Chicago before they deployed the second carrier.
No Band 41 or 26?

I would've done this months ago. A nexus 5 would've been in my hands the day I found out (from this forum) about triband...
It wouldn't even require a second thought

Exactly what happened to me. When I became a premier sponsor and found out that Clear 41 was all around me in Orlando, I placed an order for a Nexus 5. Then had it rooted and on B41 within 2 weeks.
Comparing my device and the network situation now to last year when I still had the GS3, its a night and day difference. And it's getting better every day.

I think he may already have the provider that can serve his needs, he just does not have the best tool for taking advantage of what Sprint can offer him. If I were Joey, I would give a new triband device a fair shake with Sprint on the 14 day trial period (iPhone 6 for best network results imo) and then if he's not satisfied, seek elsewhere.I think Joey was torn between either buying a galaxy s5, or finding a new provider that serves the area he frequents better than Sprint.

What was the issue?
maybe I spoke too soon.. First few tries I had no issues but now it's clocking like it was before after I punch in the dial code.

Also it appears the engineering screen issue has been fixed with the 8.02 update

So this actually happened. Viewer discretion is advised..

Keeping a case on this phone will be difficult. I actually love it without the case.... But I need it for when I go to the gym and run because I would DIE if it fell and didn't survive the fall...
Ugh. Iphone problems. Fortunately the neo hybrid is thin enough for my liking.

I bought a case when I got the phone but only had it on for like an hour. No drops yet..
And I actually did crash and burn with my old Galaxy SIII when running on the treadmill. Needless to say it did not survive the fall..

Surely, they must have a unique gci, right? Or would they just appear as a regular site.
Sent from my iPhone 6
Hmm. I wonder the same myself. I think it would be unique. If you look on the sponsor maps, some DAS sites mapped have their own site ID's so I would assume unique GCI's as well.
But the Best Buy I frequent also has a DAS, or at least some sort of repeater to improve signal in the store, and the GCI is the same in the store as it is for the site down the street.
So to answer your question, my guess would be it depends. I'm sure Robert or AJ could give a definite answer.

I drive by O'Hare nightly on Manheim, but I'll be inside to leave for my honeymoon on Sunday. How do I check for a das?
Congrats on tying the knot! And DAS antennas look something like this:
We have quite a few DAS antennas like these where I work. Verizon is our primary carrier, but I get excellent Sprint service in the office so it makes me think we have a few DAS's that have Sprint tied to them too.

I don't think they want to do carrier aggregation on PCS. Once they free enough EVDO and 1x channels on 1900MHz, they might add more channels. There are places that Sprint has a 15x15 MHz C block allocation so in those places it will eventually do a 15x15 channel and a 5x5 channel (G block). But that assumes that they have totally refarmed their PCS spectrum which might not be for a little while. It all depends on how fast they can get people using LTE and then VOLTE.
Interesting. I suppose Sprint could aggregate it's two 5x5 PCS LTE slices in places like Chicago and Shentel-Land if it wanted. But even if they do that, It kind of seems pointless because the capacity of two non-aggregated 5x5 channels and two aggregated 5x5 channels would be the same, the only difference would be a greater peak speeds. (and maybe better performance at the cell edge?)
From how I understand it, with all the congestion on PCS LTE already CA at this point would likely not make much difference in peak speeds and little to no difference would be seen in the eyes of the average user.

Interesting. I wonder how we could get to the bottom of this, I'm kind of curious now.SMS can go through LTE without CSFB. My VZW SMS go through LTE in LTE Only mode with a non CSFB device on a non CSFB network all the time. Also, the previous iPhones on Sprint did not have simultaneous voice and data either. They never maintained a data connection during a call. Any data it displayed otherwise would likely have been static.

The SMS tunneling thru LTE and no data connection during a call wouldn't be enough to prove its using eCSFB?I still have not seen any evidence that iPhone 6's use CSFB on the Sprint network. The iPhone 5, 5s and 5c did not.

Aw I thought it was going to be something cool like a hidden area where I can put crap like iBooks and that health app I haven't even used yetCalled reachability. Apps move down so you can use the phone easier one handed if you can't reach the top apps with your thumb.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus User Thread

Interesting observation this weekend. I took a trip out to Iowa and that had me in areas with a few GMO's and not yet complete sites. I noticed the 6 likes to stick on a 1x signal longer than usual in not so great areas. I compared it with my Nexus 5 on Ting, which found 3G much faster than the iPhone did.
