  1. I think its because Sprint sort of dropped the phone in favor of the Galaxy S3. People love Samsun. Its like buying an iPhone without having to buy an iPhone. And HTC is so quick to release phones. The Galaxy S3 pretty much one up"ed" the EVO in every way.

    4.7 vs 4.8 inch screen

    2000mah battery vs 2100mah

1GB of RAM vs 2GB of RAM

HoweverI did hear that the One X with JB is faster than the GS3 with JB.

  2. Jelly Bean would be nice but honestly the connection issues to me are more pressing. That's what I'm waiting for. Everyday that passes without a acknowledgment from Sprint or HTC makes me more upset. I'm not sure how many LTE they sold but it can't be so many that they can't do something about it

On community.sprint.com they said that they are working on a fix. The thong is, they are probably going to release the fix with JB.

  3. HTC has this thing about being good with every other update since the OG EVO.. Therefore, WHEN (not if) we get the 4.1 update, 4.2 will probably come very soon after. Samsung on the other hand is very good about keeping there promises and releases mor einfo about their updates, so you will know when, way before hand about an update.

  4. Went back to the thread/forum (I was curious) and just got threatened violence over calling somebody out on having their facts wrong (and being a liar, to which he readily admitted).

This is a first. Never seen anyone get that emotionally involved over cellular service. That thread is muted, blocked, uninstalled, history deleted, everything. Not going back.

In other news, you guys are awesome. I knew that, but seeing the rest of the wide open internet again makes me really want to say it. This community rocks.

Woah. I think I saw you on Google+! I commented multiple times on that thread and then saw a comment about being threatened and connected it to this post. +Bryce

  5. Samsung has made a lot of mistakes with previous devices but they really kicked up a notch with the gs2 and now the gs3/note2. As much as I love htc and still prefer the evo(just barely), I don't see how much longer htc can last in this game. I wouldn't be surprised if samsung eventually bought htc out at some point.

If they do, I hope they make some build quality improvements instead of just using plastic.

The phone will only be good for usage in metro areas with saturated LTE coverage. Areas with extreme downtilt.

Oh. I see. That is sort of true. But its a good thing I live in NYC. A "tower" every 3 blocks.

  7. It seems like it was at once, mostly the EVO's fault but now it is starting to seem more like a site density problem. Sure it has a problem connecting sometimes but other than that it seems like a lot of people's experience is getting better.

  8. I'm consistently getting 2.0-2.6 mbps regularly on towers that have LTE live here in the suburbs. In Chicago it's another story, LTE may be live but 3G is still barely usable to not usable. That's because of congestion on the little spectrum they have, they have the backhaul, LTE is zipping while 3G is limping.

That may be, because the tower only has the 4G upgrade. They might have pulled what I like to call a "Verizon". They added LTE and kept on moving to expand that 4G footprint.

  9. I don't see the advantage in officially announcing a city not quite ready for primetime...do they enable a bunch of sites the day of the official launch? That can easily work against them if there isn't a good amount of coverage in place.

I could see it happening, as I am sure many of the 3G sites are 4G ready as well, just not accepted by Sprint............. yet. On another note, Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems to me like you don't want Sprint to announce a launch of NYC this year. But I see where you are coming from. It is all in the benefit of Sprint. People will rant about not having LTE in New York, but you'd rather have dense LTE than, a couple of neighborhoods here and there having it and in the end people will be glad they waited.

  10. I think that they are waiting on AT&T. The flagship phone has to get it first. Remember, for the Sense 4.1 update it came out shortly after AT&T's did. Since the One X+ just came out, I think AT&T will start pushing out JB soon. And then the EVO.
