Sounds like open access to both networks.Anyone have any updated info on Day 0 actions? Will Sprint customers be on T-Mobile's network through MOCN tomorrow morning?

For now likely LTE. Higher BW in C block areas.I don't think there is a single phone out there that supports band 25 UMTS, G block will have to be LTE or NR only.Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

No phones support thatYou mean Sprint has B1+ B2. They could probably put H+ on G provided of course they have phones that support it.

Yes TMO themselves has 20x20 A+D with 5x5 of that on H+. Sprint has 10x10 A then the G block. Is Sprint's and T-Mobile's b25/b2 contiguous in your area?

Yeah the Sprint sites might need another RRU for all the PCS but if TMO has 15x15 LTE like my area and they takes Sprints and add to it for 20x20 then it should just be remote yeahShouldn't that be a matter of remote configuration in most cases?

I'm Interested in see how fast they widen the BW for B2/25Will my LG V30 finally get Android 9 and also have B66 and B71 unlocked?
TMobile's could have B25 and B26 unlocked.

TMobile Sprint is doneAfter the merger closes, and updates are sent out...will our phones still display Sprint as the carrier, or will it display T-Mobile?

They get had a plan this whole time. TMobile has been buying up tons of massive mimo equipment to deploy it ASAP. AWS,600,700 will go on the Sprint keep sites. Sprints PCS and 2.5 on all TMO sitesT-Mobile & Sprint have had 2 years to plan the network integration. If they have not figured out what to do in each site down to the size screws to use I would be severely disappointed.

The G5,6 and 7 should all work. The G5 tho will only work with mfbi B25 instead of 2 but then H+ for calls. Once H+ is gone done the line then that will not longer work. Unless the G5 can do VOLTE I don't knowIt looks like my LG G7 from 2018 is compatible with T-Mobile's 4G bands, so I will keep using it.

If I want a 5G phone, it looks like the Galaxy S20 variants are the only ones that are compatible right now with both Sprint and T-Mobile's current 5G bands.

Sprint doesn't block any TMO bands on their phones. Or att any vzw bands for that matter. Tho Sprint uses B13 themselves in Puerto Rico so that could be why there. TMO on the other hand might block B13 but they will get that in Puerto RicoPixel phones support all the bands for both providers, so they're an option. Samsung phones also are one SKU now, differing only in firmware, so they are physically capable of all the bands.
I think pretty much any phone on the market now that works with Sprint will be capable of using TMobile bands, at least with a software update (if they artificially lock out bands). Or rather, they'll support B2, B4/66, and B12. The only one that you'll want to pay attention to is B71, since some may not have support for that. I know Google and Samsung phones do though.

I don't know why it would say that. The Sprint model has Bands 2,4,5,12,13,17,25,26,41,71So, I was thinking about switching to T-Mobile before the merger goes through. When I checked my phones compatibility(LG V40) it says that extended LTE and VOLTE will not work. Does that mean some of us will be getting new phones post merger?

YesSo it'll be UMTS/HSPA and NR on 850MHz?
Sent from my SM-G975U1 using Tapatalk

No it's still there B5 it's being taken off LTE until DSS is readySo what's happening to HSPA on b5 in areas where n5 is deployed? Is it being retired?

If TMO really is doing that is it possible that the S20 line up supports 25+66+71 or 25+66+12? Etc

Yeah go to settings, then connections then voice networksInteresting since Sprint texted me that my S9 received a text that Calling Plus will be disabled this week in favor of Volte which will replace it on my phone. WiFi calling in my home is crap and I disabled it.
Can I disable Volte too? In case it matters, my S9 was purchased in a Sprint store.

That sucks it works just fine here in MinneapolisYeah I had to completely disabled voice over LTE again as the call quality is absolutely miserable on LTE and that's here in a very mature and very well built out market (Atlanta). Shameful.

Son clearly didn’t study the US market before buying up Sprint.

That is clearly obvious [emoji57]. They need to stop this greedy crapAll he cared about was his ego and making $$ ... a lot of $$. Didn't care about the company and didn't care much about the customer.

What phone do you have?Got a text message from sprint, that I am losing calling plus and finally volte via an getting update tomorrow(14th). I am happy to hear that, Chicago has a strong lte network and it will be nice to surf my phone while being on a phone call as well.

Now there is the problem that TMobile wants to renegotiate price and it sounds like he's not willing.I believe Masa and Marcelo’s combined incompetence and arrogance managing Sprint post-acquisition rivals Gary Forsee’s during Nextel. There, I said it.
At this point, I’m for the merger to close quickly so I get better coverage. I’ve now crossed that inflection point because it’s abundantly clear to me that that Masa and Marcelo had no intention of and still have no intention of making the changes or investments necessary to make Sprint competitive.

Yes but B41 can work in alot of areas there too. Sprint has 15x15+5x5 there. The area in SD that actually has a Sprint signal does currently have 10x10+5x5Wouldn't it be better to use B25 (1900 mHz) that Sprint and T-Mobile both have or AWS spectrum for the Dakota's due to the population and terrain?
