  1. I tried that one from XDA on 5.0.1 and it gave me the same result. I may give it a try a little later but after finishing setting everything back up on 5.1 I would be a little disappointed if it did happen to work and wiped everything again.

Are you trying to flash from inside the adb folder? Or just a command prompt opened from the adb folder. Just a command prompt from the folder stopped working for me, but once I started dragging and dropping it in (and removing once I was done) it worked again.
  2. Since 5.0, I haven't been able to use the flash-all batch for flashing the factory images. I get an error every time, using the newest SDK platform-tools (now rev22) in android studio. Any idea why its causing this? I don't mind manually flashing, but it's a little annoying.

Worked for me last night, full version and the stripped one. Give the stripped version on XDA a try. Its quite a bit smaller so it wouldn't take much to give it a shot.
  3. I've done it tons of times, its just the part about setting up my phone that drives me crazy.

The initial setup, or having to reinstall your apps and accounts and such? This is where twrp comes in handy, makes getting your phone back to how you want it a lot simpler.
  4. 100% stock, unlocked bootloader.

You might as well just backup your crucial things and flash the firmware now. That way you can OTA to the new one when the time comes without worry. There's really no point in putting it off, you're not going to want to do it more later down the line. It only takes about 5-10 minutes if you are slightly good with technology. Plus there numerous guides if you get stuck.
  5. Not since having these issues, maybe when 5.1 or 5.2 or whatever it is comes out I'll start over. Thanks for the help.

I don't know if you're modified at all or completely stock, but I run so many different tweaks that I used to do a fresh install every few months when I had xposed.
  6. I dont know what to do. My nexus 5 seems to be on life support. I'm constantly missing calls. People tell me they've tried to call, call doesn't even show up on my end. (I've tried doing a prl update, profile update) I see the no signal empty triangle all the time too. Phone shows lte signal in some spots, cant load any web pages. Is it time to retire the beast?

Have you tried flashing the stock firmware and doing a fresh install?
  7. Maybe they should change the components that they use. 15 months is absolutely unacceptable it should take that long to update a UI. 6 months at most but 15 nah that's just ridiculous.

Bank apps prioritize safety over design, they have to rigorously test every little thing they do to make sure there aren't security flaws being introduced. Which even UI changes can cause.

    Moar pictures!

No but really can we get a few of the actual phone?

    edited: cause pictures

Thanks! That red color was really a stupendous choice by Sprint it pops in the pictures. Is it just as good in person?

I doubt much, if any, of the streaming hardware in the field supports real-time H.265 decoding, particularly low-end streaming sticks, and even on PCs you probably need a recent discrete video card to have enough oomph for it (or for it to include a hardware decoder). H.265 is just coming to high-end mobile SOCs; it's probably at least a product cycle away from the likes of Roku and FireTV, so H.265 would be very much a niche option at this point.

You can run H.265 without hardware decoding off the integrated intel HD 4600, any ~60 minutes or shorter has a small enough file size to not be problematic (I got bored one day and tried). Movies, especially 4k samplers, aren't even worth trying. Also it was a better experience trying to run them off my ssd than my hard drive.

On topic, I'd like to see a build your own channel package option. Something along the lines of so many 'premium' channels and so many 'standard' channels for X price.

Clarification: premium to me is any thing thats above the lowest tier cable or satellite option.

  10. So any takers on how much money Google will be paying Sprint to use their network? This could really help out Sprint's Band 41 deployment, future Network Vision upgrades, and money for the 600MHz auction.

Initially or if the safety clause Sprint put in the contract kicks in?
  11. The newest radio far surpasses the .15 radio, especially in frequency of picking LTE back up. I drive through an area that has about a 45 second gap where there is no LTE and on the newest radio it'll can and pick LTE back up literally as soon as it possibly can. From a b25 signal, down to 3g, then back to a -138-142dbm b41 signal.

  12. Alright, our resident "flashaholics," you have an assignment.

The 2014 XT1094 tri band Moto X is a really nice piece of kit. It has great build quality, strong LTE reception, and dialer code or shortcut access to most/all hidden screens, including LTE band toggle/priority -- seemingly, no subsidy lock code necessary. I have verified all of this in hand this afternoon.

However, with the installed Republic Wireless firmware, the handset is locked and does not seem to like swaps of various nano SIMs nor adjustments to LTE band settings. It was stable for an hour, but after a few tweaks and a power cycle, it has become stuck in an activating sequence, regardless of Republic SIM (which is actually a branded Sprint SIM) or T-Mobile SIM.

The handset can power on into fastboot to stop the endless activating sequence, but other than recovery (which is not installed), any selection in fastboot just restarts the endless activating sequence. Any suggestions? At this point, can we get a custom recovery installed on this device? Can we flash a non Republic firmware?

The point here is not to take advantage of Republic. This is basically a proof of concept endeavor.

    Thoughts?

Is it already on 4.4.2? Because if so this thread seems to state that there isn't a way to so far.

  13. Then how do i add them back on do my phone sees it? Or do i need to go back and re tag them

Well Mike already addressed that. However did you have twrp installed before you updated, and then downgraded? If you did and had a recentish backup you could pull it out of the twrp data and then put it into the signalcheck folder. This would restore your notes to some extent at least.
  14. sooo probably a simple question....

so i have been going through and making notes in my phone (real handy btw thanks)

anyway i ended up pulling the new G3 update, which lost me root

So i went back through and reverted back to the ZV4, and rooted and blah blah.....

welllllll it seems my notes are no more :o:o:o:o

are they per chance saved in my phone somewhere......or did the reinstall wipe it out???

which seems silly, as it kept a few apps still on the phone :blink::blink: Signal check being one of them....

cuz I REALLY LIKE THAT NOTE FEATURE

Go into the signal check folder (with a file explorer) and see if your logs are in there.
