  1. A lot of towers in my area have been upgraded to NV. When the upgrades were happening at these towers there was a lot of activity going on. There were Ericsson trucks pulling in and out at different times,120' booms being unloaded, loaded, crews of people sometimes 5 at a time doing their thing. Needless to say,it was pretty exciting. About a month and a half ago this all stopped because all work that could be done had been completed. My question. When the backhaul is installed, what kind of activity will there be at these towers?
  2. Yeah, just like the Oakland Raiders. No where to go but up!! lol
  3. I was wondering what the percentage is of Sprint employees, top brass included, that use Sprint as their wireless carrier.
  4. On Sprints Network Enhancements map webpage it shows what looks like telephone pole icons with the numbers 1 thru 3. When you click on an icon it lists some info, one being "Data Speed Upgrade". If I'm reading this right does that mean 4g LTE?https://network.sprint.com/CA/San-Bernardino/
  5. Is there a way to tell if a tower goes live with LTE other than having to rely on Sensorly or by just happening to look at your phone and being pleasantly surprised.
  6. I just got off the phone with Ticket support and they said they would completly wipe my subscription and rebuild my network or something like that. She made me turn off my phone, wait 1 minute and turn it back on. She said OK evrything is fine now. I told her that nothing changed on my phone, It just restarted without any reactivation, updates or anything. She said this was normal. My question is, is this the normal procedure for rebuilding your network or line. Also, thanks for the info on service Tender
  7. I'm trying anything and everything to fix my phone. (Not recieving calls 60% of the time). Do you even need your MSL # to do this?
  8. Thanks for the suggest. Being that my phone was replaced once already, would'nt the new phone have a new MDN or does my old MDN one rollover to the new one?
  9. I wish it was but unfortunately it is not. I have posted here several times about my device issues, about sending it back to Samsung only to be told the device is fine but noted "No PCS Service", about going to a Sprint service center where they replaced my device and I am still having these issues, even with full bars. Please lets get 1 thing straight about Sprint. For the past 2 months in my areas of California which are not yet seeing the NV rollout, for whatever reason, their network has become very unstable and unreliable. Sprint won't admit it and it seems just because you have no issues with your device, you won't admit or should I say permit the possibility of their network not being a viable service.
  10. I just got of the phone with tech support because of my issues with my S3 not recieving 50% of my calls and was informed that they checked my specific number with software they use and was told I only had one dropped call in 3 months. This I argued till I was blue in the face was false because I have missed and dropped at least 60 calls in the last 2 months. It was a pointless argument because I have no report or log of my missed and dropped calls etc. on my part. This leads me to believe that their software has not been upgraded or does not recognize the Samsung S3's bandwidth. Could I be right?
  11. I guess I am the only one in an area with the population of 212,013 who owns an S3 that is having this problem. My associate and I both use Sprint for our PCS service. Standing right next to him I can have him call me but my phone just stares at me with a blank screen. I then call him, no problem, I can make calls 100% of the time, and his EVO 4G lte lights up after 3 rings. This after Samsung has declared my phone to be 100% functional. I don't know what else to do. I think I'm gonna be sick. It's friday night. I'm gettin hammered. This sucks.
  12. I am having problems recieving calls on my S3 in areas I never had problems at with my HTC EVO. I sent my S3 back to Samsung hoping there was something wrong with it but it passed all functionality testing. In other words, there's nothing wrong with it. They also stated: Problem Solved, No PCS SERVICE. While my phone was being "repaired" I broke out my EVO and had recieved 100% of calls in the same areas that my S3 would not recieve them. I know I sound like a freakin broken record but whats the real truth?
  13. Here's an update. I jjust recieved a tracking # from Samsung for my phone I sent in for repair because of not recieving calls randomly. Here is what they reported: Passed all functionality testing. Problem Found,No PCS Service. I was so hoping there was something wrong with the phone. Now I have to go back and play Sprint's customer service game again Sheeesh.
  14. I was just in the google play store and ran across this app called a network signal speed booster. How does this work and is it really relevant?
  15. My issue is I recieve calls only 50% of the time. I can call my phone sitting on my desk from the office phone and it will just ring and then go to voicemail while my phone on the desk just sits there and does not ring. Sprint gave me some BS about overburdened towers etc. I told them really, at 5:00 AM there are overburdened towers at five different locations around San Bernardino County? BS. They gave me a $75 credit for the issue I have been having for the past 3 weeks. Go ahead and call them to get your credit. Today I will send my S3 back to Samsung for a replacement. This will at least let me know if this is a Hardware or Network issue. What do you think?
  16. Drum roll Please What is the proposed rollout date for San Bernardino Ca.? I cannot seem to find any information anywhere. I humbly come to anyone who would grace me with said info. Thanks.
  17. boomer, I'm sorry the app does'nt work for you, it does for me where I live. There are 2 3G Sprint towers towers in the exact location that Open Signal Map identifies. 1 is 3 houses from my house on the corner of 30th & Mt. View and the other is on Electric Ave and Pershing in San bernardino Ca. I also know because when I call Sprint to report dropped flippin calls, they always tell me those 2 towers are being serviced and blah blah blah. And whats the deall with being a sponser and having access to those top secret maps! Why not open them up to everyone.
  18. Thats not true what you say about Open Signal Maps. It is not "one of the worst", it is actuall one of the best. It pinpoints 6 tower locations in my area to the exact location.
