So what are we going to see right away? How about places with no LTE get some damn LTE or is everything they have been talking about going to take forever?
-
Well 4.2.2 is rolling out in Europe, hope it come state side soon!
-
I don't know any more on Tucson than you do.
Sent from my HTC ONE
Ah, well they have some sites that are "In Progress" so i hope that they are LTE.
Thanks for the info.

Who wants a Gold HTC ONE?

I think it actually looks nice, a bit flashy though.

Well if you got the money to burn..

DDoS attack against Sprint's DNS vendor. It caused nationwide data outages throughout the day. Also happened to be pretty effective at dropping eHRPD apparently. Oddly, 4G LTE and WiMax were unaffected.
In addition, I had a customer come in with the data issues commenting about how his AT&T iPad was having issues, and a friend of mine with Verizon saying he was roaming for quite a while at home and at work (nowhere near each other), even after device restarts and such.
Today wasn't a good day for phones.
Oh crap! Wonder what that was all about? Too bad i didn't have any LTE to use Hope they stop acting like children and stop messing up the net for no reason..
-
So when i was out about about today i noticed that my phone started connecting to EV-DO again. I have signal check so i tried to rest the connection a few times and it would find eHRDP for a bit but then go back to EV-DO. It completely lost connection at orange grove and river and then it started doing a PRL update on its own. Im back on eHRPD at my house but if i drive around it will connect to EV-DO again. Anyone else having the same problem as of late?

Even I-10/Cortaro is 106km from the border, within the 110km IBEZ. 100% of available City of Tucson plans don't include 800 RRUs (sponsors go read them yourselves if you don't believe me). I'm sorry, but until I see an 800 RRU bolted to a tower I firmly believe any reports of 800 RRUs being installed are BS.
Ah, that is a shame. Hope they work out what ever they need to so they can use it. How far does 800mhz really travel?
-
I think he just gave me a quick short answer to my question as they were quite busy. The also said that the 800MHz equipment was being in installed, and that the IBEZ border wouldn't affect this tower.
I can go back if the crew is still there later today. What questions should I ask?
Wow! If Vail is not affected by the IBEZ then all of Tucson should get 800! That is really cool!

I'm ranting about a Sprint press release, I didn't donate, I dont know what you donatosr know ,not sure about this pay me to show you my secrets policy, nor I care.
I am stating facts that SPRINT releases.
You would see all the progress they are making, when a city is launched it means they have gone through all the 3g and 4g upgrades plus all the testing. Upcoming cities are the ones who are close to getting it all done. Do you know if they are working on it right as we speak? Or how many towers have been upgraded? Trust me, i sounded just like you but after seeing all the information and progress i have changed my mind. Patience is a virtue
-
I don't understand how I can get slow speeds at this time..ImageUploadedByTapatalk1370694299.554118.jpg
It could mean alot of things, work could be underway so it might be connecting to a far tower. If there is one thing i have learned form here its that you need to be patient with these things.

Did I miss something I thought Sprint wasn't going to start LTE 800 deployment until Q4. I know that's when we can expect to mobile phone devices supporting that band. But it does make sense for them to start from now.
CDMA 800
-
So when they get the 800 signal up and running on the sprint network will the tower placement mess with the signal? Because 800 has a much larger range im thinking that the signal will overlap. I this even a problem? Or are they going to pick and choose which tower gets 800 to avoid overlap as much as possible.
-
There's also a rumor that HTC will update the ONE to 4.2 soon, and there have been leaks of the full build.
-Luis
Cant wait!
I hope with the update the ability to remove blinkfeed. I know people enjoy it and it has had some good reviews, but not for me.
Just dont use it. I hated it at first but now i use it all the time

In some ways, it's fair to say WiMax is the Sprint equivalent.
Robert from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Oh yeah, wimax. Forgot about that
Although sensorly separates sprint 3g, wimax and lte into separate mappings. it would be nice if HSPA+ could be easily differentiated as I always find myself making the same comparisons.
Yeah that would be cool! Just to see the difference between the 2.
-
They count their HSPA+ network as 4G.
Oh, is it that good? I though it was just 3g. Does sprint have a HSPA+ equivalent?
-
I keep seeing the at&t commercials saying that they are "The nation's largest 4G Network" but from the maps on sensorly is does not look that way. Verizon looks over twice as big and from what sprint has in the same areas as at&t sprint takes the cake. I'm i missing something here?

Now that i got i working phone again i get it about 85% of the time. The speeds are all over the place on it. Sometimes i get better speeds when it connects on EvDoA.
-
You have really bad luck with getting the defective phones. I hope this time around, though, you get to experience how awesome this phone really is.
-Luis
I love the phone! Its sprint i have the problem with. I don't know why they insist on doing everything the ass backward way. I was really nice when this happened the first few times but it was only when i went in there with the account holder and yelled at them that i got stuff done..
Any way the new one is working for now so i HOPE that this will be the end of it.
-
Since you just got it today the network may still be adjusting. Try updating profile and prl. If you happen to know your MSL and MSID then punch in the dialer ##MSL# and repunch in your PTN and MSID. Sounds like the cell site is being fickle.
After dealing with them for over 5 hours both in person and over the phone we just went back, again, to the repair store and they switched out the SIM card and for the first time in over 3 weeks i have not had problems and was able to connect to eHRPD again..

Well got my new phone, and guess what NEW PROBLEMS! This is so damn annoying.. Sprint customer service is so dumb, "take out the SIM card and clean it" really? I just got the stupid thing today! Maybe you guys can help.. It keeps bringing me to this Self Service screen that i have never seen before and this error message..
-
I think that's for domestic roaming.
domestic roaming is included in your sprint plan, so yes you can enable them if you want. Keeping them unchecked will prevent connecting with any non-native sprint towers, so if you go into a roaming area you will lose service.
Ah cool, thanks for the info guys!
