  1. Well just updated to 3.05.651.6 and i was one of the ones who could not update the profile or PRL. After the install i was able to update both :D

I will post if i find anything else that changed.

  2. Man, the wait is killing me! I wish they would get fiber to the cortaro I-10 tower or really anyhting north of ina rd at this point. Im picking up Lte more and more driving out of my way but it would be nice to get something up here :P

They have had crews digging around the one by my apartment under the road from where a century link hub is and i also saw a truck by the one on la cholla and ina but still nothing yet.

  3. I kind of wish they keep the same screen size, i really don’t want a bigger phone! The things i would love to see with the next ONE is..

-Ditch the stupid camera, just put a 10+MP cam in it.

    -TRI-BAND!

    -Better radio

-SD card slot would be nice

-Add a menu button at the bottom, no more long holds!

-The battery is really nice but a bigger one would be even better!

    -A mini HDMI port

-Maybe make it a little bit thinner

-FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KEEP THE SPEAKERS WHERE THEY ARE!

  4. I've seen numerous reports that Profile and PRL updates aren't working since the update. I can confirm mine is doing this post-update, but I didn't check it before installing. Has anyone tried to resolve the issue?

Mine has not. Ever since 3.05.651.5 it fails when trying to update the profile and PRL. Do they even test this stuff?

  5. Really? :wall:

It's just there. It's part of the way the phone works. Nothing to implement.

Ah, like i said before there is very limited LTE in Tucson and none where i live so i don't have much experience with it unfortunately..

    Thanks

  6. Ah, ok. That is what i was wondering.

I'm glad I have the One instead of a triband phone in a way. At least with the One we have SvLTE.  :D

Oh cool! When are they going to implement that?

  7. That's probably the way the tower is set up and not your phone. The HTC One has a good LTE radio as it is. Certainly nothing like the N5, but it's pretty much as good as the GS3. It will likely take more sites going live to see better performance.

Ah, ok. Over all the HTC has been the best phone i have ever had and there are only a handful of towers broadcasting LTE here so i will just wait it out.

Side question, IDK if you would know but is there any way they can update the phone so its try-band capable? I know the One Max has it and they are going to update the S4 for that but is that even possible with the regular One? Spark sounds great and i really like the One, so i would like to enjoy both!

  8. The only ones we know have backhaul are the ones broadcasting lte. The rest...?

Im not talking about backhaul, im talking about century link. They were still building out their own fiber network and i thought that was why it was taking so long to get the sites hooked up. But now that we have 8 or so they have to be feeding somewhere right? So what my thought process is that now that they have some towers broadcasting 4g and that have a decent speed that they should have some sort of network built out in tucson. Not just a little here and there...

Guess i just thought this process was going to be just a bit faster, maybe a tower or 2 a week..

  9. Interesting track popped up on sensorly from someone on eastbound I-10 near Ruthrauff. It's faint, but it seems to be pointed the wrong direction to be fringe signal from a known site. Someone (*cough*newgrounds*cough*) should investigate the area N/NW of this track.

Yeah, i can check it out later. Keep that LTE rollin rollin rollin rollin!

  10. I have confirmed that there is an active LTE tower at Orange Grove and Oracle.  You were right!

I mapped all three sectors with screen shots of the relevant screens.  I have several more samples but this is a good start.  I mapped the heck out of the area with Sensorly too so that should show up soon.  This tower has been on for over a week.

Weird, i parked next to the tower and got noting sooo guess i will try again some time.

  11. Yesterday and this evening, I mapped the location just to the east and west of the Ina- and Oracle intersection. Today while sitting at The Frost, I captured the screenshots to share as well. So there is also a 4G track on Sensorly and also speed test.  I still suspect that the cell tower identification will be consistent with the tower at first and Glenn.  I believe that the only reason to go so far is because it is up the hill.

Nice! Hope they get one of the cell sites up here up and running, looking at you ina and cortaro! It would be nice to have it kinda close to where i live and work..

  12. Man, i hope they get another batch of towers up soon.. My excitement is getting chipped away ever time i drive around the whole north west side and get nothing. There were people all over the roof of the bank of the Ina and La Cholla one but noting came from that. I wish they would get the ones by the I-10 up so we don't look completely pathetic by the people driving through.

  13. It was not a usable signal unfortunately, it is a fringe signal that comes and goes randomly as the winds change, but I wanted to get the ID of the tower I was connected to.

Ah, probably from that one on 1st. Im going to head down there and see if i can connect. Thanks man.
