So is there any way to fix the radio problem? Is it really as bad as everyone's making it out to be?
-
It will come, i cant live without unlimited data and unlimited LTE is going to rock!

Did I just witnessed LTE testing in yuma?? I got this screen twice but phone did not connect.
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 4
damn.. lucky

Network vision is already funded before softbank. The reason for the delays were due to backhaul and vendors working on their respective market.
With the extra money could they get more aggressive? Tell them to get the work done or we will offer more money to this guy? idk..
-
Nothing
"Softbank's 21.6 billion dollar takeover of Sprint includes $5 billion of capital to bolster the U.S. firm's balance sheet. Sprint is supposed to pay for network investments out of its own earnings, requiring no additional funding from Softbank.

Why cant they give sprint some capital? They said that they are relying on "Sprint's ability to grow steadily" so why not give them the means to do so with all that damn money.. This whole thing sounds pointless now.

Hope something good is happening soon, and by good i mean LTE. I work overnights and the speed is always about 1.6 Mbps but recently its gone down to about .70 to .80 Mbps, still not bad but lower. My phone has been constantly loosing eHRPD and connects at EV-DO since last week and it hasn't done this as frequently before.
Any day now.. any day.

What was the backhaul for iDEN? Did it have alot of fiber optic? Will they use that backhaul to get the 4G up faster? Or are they just getting rid of all of it?
-
its in the forums on here but to throw it out there 41 markets launched already, the race to AZ is almost to an end.
How so? My hopes are slowly but surely fading.

Is the phone actually on your account, second is your account suspended? Next thing I would try is dial ##72786# then enter your msl. The phone will restart and then go through a ful hands-free provisioning Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Did that, it would not go through the the whole process, and i just paid the bill so it shouldn't be suspended.
Try it again tomorrow. It could be network related. Also, restart your phone, then try again.
I will, but i think im just going to take it in...

Phone was running really slow, reset connections, reset phone, reset router but everything was running like it was connected at 1x. So i try to update the profile and PRL and got these.
Called customer service and they had me put in some numbers, it did nothing. Took my girlfriends HTC One and everything updated fine. I hate the repair centers and i don't want to do a hard reset, anybody have any ideas?

Does the NV equipment have 800 and 2500 installed alongside the 1900 mhz?

We only have Time-Werner or Century Link. No one else.
I too have been told by a few Sprint reps that 4G was coming over the last few months. First April, then June and even by the first of August.......
The speeds seam to be slowing down. I just did a test and the ping was 572ms, download: 0.05mpsupload: 0.32mps.....
All within sight of a tower.
I hope this is the storm before the sunrise.....
Lateck,
South tucson sucks, i hate going down there. Im sitting in my apartment playing pandora and surfing the web on the 3G and i just pulled 0.62 down and 0.41 up. The network is just so sparse atm.

I can understand your point, if I was there buying a phone, but I was talking to my friend that works there and he knows better than to BS me with fake info to have me buy a phone. What both friends from separate stores said is that they had a regional meeting in Phoenix where the network techs told them that Yuma was going to be lit up by June 30th 60% of it. At the time, it seemed like it would go through looking at how many towers were 3G accepted. But now even the regional managers are not telling them any more info. Something must have happened.
I also talked to Time Warner reps (also friends), they told me that they don't service Sprint here, it was Century Link. I'm just wondering if the same thing happened here as in New Mexico where the Century Link lines were rejected by Sprint.
Wait what!? Why the hell would they get rejected? For whatever reason why they would do that why doesn't Sprint tell them to piss up a rope and go with Comcast or something else?
-
Did you buy it through htc or through Sprint? I am on sero so I had to go through a sprint corp store.
I got it from costco.com, it came with 2 cases a car charger and screen protector. Plus they waived the activation fee.

Hows the network holding up for others atm? Up on the north side im getting about half the speed i normally get at this time. I might go for a drive and check out some of the towers to see if any work is being done.
-
I hide my sprint zone app, I can't stand it and it is forced on this phone.
More like 4.3 =] haha I am kind of hoping they skip 4.2.2 and go straight to 4.3. I told myself if HTC lags with the updates with the One I am probably done with them, especially since the Moto X is coming to Sprint =]
On another note, did any of you buy your htc one during the htc 25 promo and received an email with the code? I submitted mine earlier this month(I bought the phone within the promo dates) and I still have not received any email from them regarding status or anything.
I got it with that $100 trade in, i did that and already have the money from that.
-
Any word on when the United States will be getting 4.2? Its been some time now..

At this point complaining about sprint is like honking your horn in stand still traffic, nothing is going to happen. Here is all you need to know..
Sprint is working on getting their network up to and possibly beyond par. They are doing this as quickly as possible with the contractors available in the area they are working. They have a massive amount of capital to do so and is working at a fast pace..
Enjoy the info you should already know

I just moved to a new place and have been experiencing some weird things. The tower im connected to is usually not to bad but as of yesterday it keeps kicking me off eHRPD and was roaming for about an hour last night. This is what i have been getting.
Im usually right under the 1 Mbps range but its been very low.

Exactly I don't think the Sprint pricing needs to be adjusted. The reason Sprint is not attracting customers or customers leaving in droves is because the Network Vision project is way behind schedule. This lack of backhaul on a ton of NV ready sites is driving me nuts. Phoenix and Tucson are perfect examples as to why they have zero LTE sites at this point.
This right here.
Think about it, if they lower the pricing more people will get on the network.. the network that can barley preform. They would see how poor it is then ditch the service never to return. But if they actually try and get their damn network fixed THEN drop the price to get more subs they would probably stay..

We just got LTE launch brochures in store for today's 7/19 planogram.
What did that mean?

When i was "chatting" with them they said that it should start in a few weeks and will be up by the end of summer.
-
Well just got the update, right off the bat the signal is no different. Im also in an area with no LTE so yeah.
Is there a summery of the update anywhere?
-
No one has HD voice.... it's not enabled on the network.
You're complaining that you're 0.1 behind the latest edition of Android? Jeesh. It's still a great phone. The update has only been rolled out internationally for a few days.
Ah, i thought it has been out for longer.
Are they going to wait until the NV is rolled out every ware before HD voice is enabled or are they waiting for something else?

lol, same here. i couldn't deal with my shitty Samsung epic anymore so i gave another 2 years to dumb sprint. Just didn't think i would be spending over half of the 2 years with no LTE..
