GLANCE shows the upgrade date, not necessarily whether it is actively broadcasting yet. That being said, for 2.5GHz upgrades in the area they have been the same date. And the network will move you where it wants to put you. So it may not let you on 800MHz if 1900MHz is fine. There isn't enough room on 800MHz for everyone.

Well there's been 4 (Edit: 5) 1x800 sites put online across Tucson this week so far, 1 in Sierra Vista, and 1 in Green Valley. And that's just the On-air Notifications from GLANCE which seem to be delayed a bit. They do state 4G 800 has been completed as well but without a date for it.

    TUCSON:

    Congress/Stone area

    Sunrise/Craycroft area

    Greasewood/Anklam area

    Park/18th area

EDIT: Found another near Orange Grove/La Cholla that doesn't have any date listed, so no On-Air notification.

    SIERRA VISTA:

    Busby/7th area

    GREEN VALLEY:

    Basically Southern GV area.

To be able to see it, you may have to turn off your LTE if the site happens to be ONLY broadcasting CDMA 1X on 800. Hope you also find LTE on 800, but that was not mentioned as being in service. Bring on some screen shots.

Alright i will keep that in mind

I'm so dense!  I read On Air Notification and assumed it was an Android notification.  So then I was thinking SCP notification.  Made a big leap there.  Especially since I have seen a lot of 'On Air Announcements" in my day.  What a maroon!  :wavey:

    So no 800 then?

  5. No. The orginal Network Vision Panels are 800/1900. Band 41 requires a separate panel, called an 8T8R (8 transmitter, 8 receivers) panel/RRH's. And even though a site may have upgraded backhaul, it may only be sufficent for Band 25 or Band 25/26. Band 41 requires much more backhaul in order to be sufficiently supplied, so although a site may have 25/26, it may not be able to receive Band 41 yet.

And to your second question, no, they don't have to be cleared to use 800 before they can use 2500.

Oh wow, i thought thought the NV panels had it all. So they have to go back and put more panels up on the sites they already upgraded to NV? Damn.. Is there a time frame for areas where they have to do that?

  6. I'm surprised no one in here has mentioned the issue with the Smith - expired! message that appears on power-up. My wife and sister have One's and both display it on power up. If you don't disable it, then incoming calls/texts do not go through. Sprint still seems clueless on a fix, and it's been happening since the end of July, per their website.

It does? It hasn't done that to me. Lately i have been getting the SIM card not inserted BS..

  7. This forum is about as active as my data connection.... any new towers come up with 4g in Tucson ? Is the project complete ?  Mine is still mostly unusable near River and Campbell.

Most of the sites are up and running. All the sites around river and campbell have 4g.

There is one at limberlost and oracle that does not have 4g yet.

  8. If it wouldn't be any trouble, could you help me troubleshoot the problem so I can get it fixed?  Did this just happen on the very last update?

Of the phone or the app? It has been acting weird but this last update has made it unusable.

It was very slow to respond and would take a long time to even open. Then when it did i would try to press the reset button and it would act like i did nothing. So i would get frustrated and try to close it and it would just hang.

  9. OMG yes.. I had to uninstall it because it was crashing the whole phone!

Have any of you guys with the M7 had any issues with LTE Discovery after the last update?

  10. If you look at the map on Sensorly most of Oro Valley, Marana, Continental Ranch is not even covered, Is this is a far is Sprint is going, I have been hanging on patiently for years for Wimax and LTE and I get nothing .

I always thought this was funny because there is a Century Link building right off of cortaro by the I-10. Im not sure how they are laying down the lines but i thought they would be close to there own building. I get 4G most of the time on ina by my house but past the 10 where i work it drops.

Im hoping by the end of the year they get most if not all the towers connected! I thought there was a pattern of how they were getting fiber to the tower but it feels so random now.
