So I wonder if that site being up means the Core is ready
Just a guess but I would say Yes.
-
Well if any of you also watch the Tampa thread, I mapped the first Tampa area LTE and it was in the middle of nowhere Springhill. So if you are looking for LTE go to the furthest possible place you would think they would add it first and it is probably there. LOL
-
I'm gonna go ahead and say it because I have been thinking about it all night. Spring Hill? Really?
I know. Some serious middle of no-where action going on right there.
-
when I was about 2 miles from the tower I toggled and it still came back 3G, it was so dark I was trying to watch the road not my phone. once I got to the tower which is in a small repair shop parking lot. I looked at my phone and it was showing 4G instead of 3G. So I guess I would say it picked it up on its own.
I am sporting the Note II now not the EVOLTE any longer. So if any EVOLTE users decide to travel into the wild unknows you guys will have to let me know how easily it picks up the signal. In some ways I do miss the EVOLTE. it felt sturdier with all the metal compared the Note II which is all plastic. and the kick stand, I miss that the most

was trying to check Hernando's permits to see if SBA is working up there. but there site is horendous.
-
So the tower I listed a few weeks back as having their panels up is the site at 24026 SR 54. I will keep my eye on the phone as I go through there the next few days.
Point Pleasant BLVD is a little out of my way. anyone up in Wesley Chapel want to run by that tower. It is back behind Precision Kia on SR 54
-
that contractor was busy pulling permits that one day.
gonna see where these other towers are.
-
of those 2 permits neither one have had inspections. at least none that are listed on the county website.

something you guys might find interesting.
the permits for this place were pulled back in August.
(I am guessing these are the permits, they are the right location)

wow if you zoom out on florida the Spring hill, Kissimmee, and Cocoa discovered signals are on the same longitudinal plane. An odd coincidence.
-
So i did 2 speed tests. Cocoa server gave me 2mbps but the Jax server gave me the big number that i posted.
-
woah a shit load more on sensorly popped up by that tower
haha anyone else find it funny that its called shady rd?
yeah that was me. I would have mapped some more but it is really dark up that way at night and I thought I heard some banjos.
Will try to head back up this weekend and hit up other towers in the area.

Actually, I did get notification from a source a few days ago that Site #TA28XC072 was signed off this week. I just now came across the PM. I will update it as In Progress now and it will be on this week's update for sure. Stay tuned for more.

And that is the tower that is showing on sensorly. I almost wonder if it was the Ericsson tech that mapped it.
I am heading up that way now. see if I can get some LTE love on my note.
-
has anyone looked at Sensorly lately? There is a LTE hit in Spring Hill! I am going up there this afternoon!

Wanted to post some of the speeds I saw yesterday and this morning.. Thought yesterday was a fluke..

If I was getting those kind of speeds I wouldn't care about LTE. most of mine are 200kpbs or less.

Omg New Lte in Orlando check sensorly if o town lights up before Tampa st Pete I'm going to cry why don't they plan these roll outs by population density
I am sure they have a very strategic plan. and I guess Epcot/Disney makes sense. But still seems like they are willy-nilly with their installs.

What city is that in so I can see
If you are talking about my post, it was a previous post I had with the pic of the tower. I was just giving it to Robert again.
-
Robert,
TA73XC100 has what look like NV panels with the RRUs but no LTE and very strong (full) signal on 3G but horrendous speeds in the low 200s. So I guess it would count as in progress.
I had a source give me the Site ID for the Epcot site (and another on in Orlando area), and they have been added as In Progress to the maps. If someone can go through and catalog all the Tampa sites with confirmed NV activity and send me the Site ID's, I will add them to the In Progress maps too.

That is the conduit they run the fiber in.
Can anyone tell me what this picture is telling me? It's a picture from a site I have been too and thought the backhaul was completed. You can see the trench line from the site to the vault but what is the orange conduit that is stick up out the ground? There seems to be nothing in it not even a rope

Really sad that the Rural town I used to live in in VA, now has a heavy buildout of LTE already because Shentel has been going like gangbusters.
-
Wow the crickets are starting to get loud in Tampa, from the non-LTE activity
-
Where do you live because I'm seeing the same thing.. It's sporadic but it's strange

I live in NPR, but work near fairgrounds in off MLK in Eastern Tampa. I was at Shoot straight on 301 when I got the international roaming alert.
-
Has anybody else been roaming alot lately? I don't know if it is just the new phone (Note II) over the previous (EVOLTE) but Seems I am going into roaming alot lately. The other day the phone even alerted me that I was internationally roaming (Wow Cuba or Mexico must have put up some extremely powerful antennae )

Go ahead and map some more of the area, see how much coverage that tower has.
