Noticed tower climbers and rigging working on sprint lte panels/rrus on the east side of the veterans just north of waters. sorry I couldn't get pics.

After looking at the map is was just north of Linebaugh/Wilsky not Waters.

Odd one. after losing LTE heading south on 75 near BBdowns 3G didn't automatically pickup. I was showing no connection to the Hillsborough river where I cycled Airplane mode, and then 3G picked back up.

Drove by 301 junkyard site after work today. Still no LTE there

I was running Sensorly today using the Tasker app. Was surprised on the 618 Crosstown to get 4G at the Crosstown and Orient Rd as well as 78th St. Wondering now if that tower on 301 north of the fairgrounds is active, or if conditions were right to pick up from Bell Shoals.

I went home via veterans today I will check out the 301 tower tomorrow.

Looks like the rooftop tower as you head to Honeymoon Island is lit up. based on sensorly.

That looks like it must be the tower on Douglas.

OK, Holidays are over, I say lets see some LTE light up

Robert, I was at the hospital last night, and couldn't pickup LTE at all. I also was not able to detect LTE from the Land O Lakes tower, nor the tower at 50th Street and Fowler in Tampa. I am not sure if there is an issue with my phone, or if the towers were not transmitting LTE last night. I power cycled, and even tried going to CDMA mode, then back to LTE/CDMA mode. But, still no LTE. The sad thing was, I was running Sensorly as I passed both areas, and while at the hospital, so I was bummed to not get any mapping data. I actually had dinner right in the shadow of the 50th St and Fowler Tower. I was there for an hour, and had nothing but 3G. Same for my wife, and her iPhone 5...

 

On the bright side, I pulled out my DSLR and got some pictures of the towers up near my home. I will post pics when I have a minute...

When I glanced at my phone as I passed the LOL tower I was still in 3G this morning. I didn't try to cycle airplane mode but it should have picked up on it's own. I wonder if they shutdown LTE on that tower temporarily.

So we have just this last day of the year. How many Towers are we going to see turned on today.

My guess is 0.

The phone just locks on to the strongest signal, Sprint or not, when dialing 911, correct?

but she was the one in IRB not him. she didn't get the calls because she had no signal... oh well, this isn't the right place to discuss this anyway. I will not expound further.

that does suck about the guy but why did he try to call her and not 911?

Does anyone know where the closet tower to cypress trace Apartments is I thought the one on bellshols was but I was wrong I have tried to search but can't find anything.

ok, i seen a guy off us19 and Tarpon ave climbing saturday afternoon, im going to be heading out there today since im right down the road and see what i can find. im just trying to find the map of the towers so i can find out if its a sprint tower of not.

Go to Interactive Maps, then Florida market, all the yellow are the Tampa Bay locations. you can zoom in to find the specific location.

So wanted to let you know. I texted usage to 1311 at 7:47am and then just now at 1:12pm and it gave me updated info so it is at least updated every 4 hours.

5 days into billing cycle and I have used 353MB 3G and 27 MB 4G. So not much yet for me. But I am on wifi at work and at home

I noticed today on my Note II as I got to 41 in Land O'Lakes I had full signal 3G kept watching to see when it would switch to LTE on its own. It didn't switch to LTE until I had just passed the tower heading east.

BTW also did some "war-driving" (that is the old wifi search term isn't it?) yesterday in Pasco, nothing new down east lake toward McMullen. and nothing new along 19 from Tampa Road all the way up to 52.

Im about to go do the only rhing there is to do on christmas. Im going to see django unchained. I will keep my eyes open down eastlake to see if anything turned on up this way.

Sigh... Looks like Sensorly is not updating, There should have been some updates to the maps by now.

If I would have known this when I was at work I would have made that trek

That tower is rigged with a rope no?

The one that is rigged doesn't have the NV panels on it though. the one with NV panels is the one most heavily populated tower from what it looks like.
