  1. So I have

    LTE

    RSRP -109dBm

    RSRQ -13dB

and my awesome LTE speeds are...

    1st try

    Ping - 173 ms

    DOWN - 347kbps

    UP - 31kbps

2nd try - Network communications issue

3rd try - Network communications issue

so it went from horrible 3G to just as bad LTE...

not only that but my battery in the Note is draining like someone pulled the plug out the bath tub.  I am currently getting 3 hrs out of a full battery and my phone is hot too touch. but only when I am in sable park.

  2. So Tower by the Dallas Bull on 301 got panels last week.  looks like it was turned on sometime between Monday afternoon and this morning because I wasn't at work yesterday. Monday morning we didn't have very good LTE at the office now it is decent... I just hate that building penetration is so bad. In the parking lot of my building I am getting almost 3Mb up and 3Mb down. but 100 yards away in my office it still shows 4G LTE.  RSRP -115dBm RSRQ -14dB but I am getting a whooping 200kb up and 400kb down. that is still much better than I was getting with 3G which hardly ever make it out of the double digit Kb.  If it will allow me to stream Pandora, Play Music or Songza I will be happy.

  3. I still can't believe they haven't even started construction of the LTE equipment on the tower by the Dallas Bull. That is the tower that supports my office, and we are soo saturated here, around 50-60 Blackberries and I know a number of those BB holders have personal Smartphones on Sprint, that is just in my office. and there are at least 3 other office buildings in close proximity.

  4. I noticed a crane with a working platform on it at the "flag pole" on 54 near the Suncoast.  They had it all buttoned up and all exterior panels were reinstalled about 2 months ago, after a log time of them working on it.  Don't think I ever got an LTE signal from it though during that time.

  5. So I was in the USF area this weekend had good LTE coverage average speeds were around 4Mbps and that is plenty for me... But even so Sprint still lags behind Verizon and AT&T, 2 friends that were with me, one had AT&T and the other had verizon.  we all had Note II's they got on average 14-15 Mbps.  do I need that much speed?  not really. 4Mbps is plenty. but I still have speed envy  :P

  6. Did some mapping yesterday, nothing new where I went. I did notice however at home I was roaming and connecting to different sites yesterday as well as when I left for work at 3am this morning. I can only hope the tower, which had had panels on it for some time now, is undergoing some work to make LTE live soon. The tower I am referring to us located on the northeast side of the panther trace subdivision in Riverview.

I am roaming all the time lately.  especially up in NPR where I live. I would hope that means upgrades are on the way.  It is so sad that the TPA board has gone from everyone being optimistic to now most of us have become curmudgeon.  :P

  7. So is anyone else getting worse 3G and LTE now that our market has officially gone live?  very often my Note II and my wife's S4 will loose data all together. happens alot around IP, and on 275/I4 between west shore and I-75.

Our Phones show full signal but no 3G/4G logos, can make calls and send text. but says no data connection when trying to open a web page or app that requires data.  I called Sprint to report it, told them they need to send out field engineers to the area, and they said ok I'll make a note of it, almost sarcastically, and then hung up.

  8. I bet Sprint is getting aggravated too. The delays are more of an issue of manpower than anything. There are only so many qualified people to do this work, and all carriers nationwide, large and small, are upgrading their networks. Even the backhaul companies are stretched thin.

The bottom line is it's going to take as long as it's going to take. Sprint wants it done as soon as possible. But I believe it's exceeding all of our thoughts and hopes. But the deployment is still going. Fortunately it has not stopped.

Verizon's LTE was built out very quickly... And ATT is moving fast here.  seems Sprint must have lowballed the vendors so they are working for the highest paid first.

  9. WOW! coverage map shows area where my office is as LTE Fair.  I can get LTE in the parking lot. and the speeds on LTE are just as fast as the awesome 3G that I get inside the building. 100Kbps down and 50kbps down with 300+ms ping times.

    SIGH

  10. I saw a tower the other day that was complete covered with birds. They are certainly going to slow us down at some point.

small birds aren't a problem. it is when you see the very large nests with the very large (Eagles/Osprey) that you have to worry. Because they are a protected species, workers are not allowed on the tower. They don't even like them working on the ground near the towers.

  11. 54 is lit up between Gunn and 19 with some sporadic drops. was watching my DB levels yesterday and most the time stayed between -109 and -117 occasionally hitting -120 and dropping back to 3G. going to try to figure out which tower(s) is lit.

  12. I have seen a crane at the internal mount tower just east of the suncoast on 54 last week from Tuesday through Friday. Guessing they were probably installing antennae. I am guessing with those kind of towers they have to mount the RRUs on the ground.

  13. Hey Guys haven't been around lately. Just catching up on things. So I noticed that the Osprey and Eagles are back. tells me we are going to see a slowdown in new progress, like any towers that still haven't been rigged. The one that comes to mind for me is the tower closest to my work on 301 between MLK and 60.

  14. Has anyone seen this. The last few weeks I can leave my home or my office, and be miles away and it shows I am still connected with a decent signal. But obviously I have no signal. I have to cycle wi-fi for it to drop.

I am running Stock unrooted ROM currently.

  15. So anyone notice LOL tower not brodcasting LTE today? Note II didn't pick it up automatically today so I cycled AP mode both on the morning and in the afternoon when driving by and it didn't pick up LTE stayed at 3G. it was fast 3G 1.5Mbps up stream but still just 3G.

  16. Any word on western Pasco, New Port Richey, Holiday, Tarpon Springs.... that area...

I have been looking at the towers near me. one off Mitchel Ranch, one off Main and Rowan, and a couple others and I don't see any panels up yet.

Haven't seen any new Panels on the SEA Castle at Gulf Harbors either.

  17. I drive by there everyday so I will keep a lookout also.

I too drive by everyday on way home from work.

I work in Sable Park and the tower nearest me hasn't had any work on it yet. and we need it. my speeds are ussually around 120K up and 60K down. very sad.
