  1. I did do some limited testing today with the LTE that we do have. It seems that from one live LTE site to another that isn't active yet. From what I see the signal tends to drop off at about -124ish. I assume that before that point it would handoff to that tower that isn't active. These two towers are about 1.5 miles from each other.

I also did some inside testing. On the fringe of the handoff is where my GF's mom lives. My signal inside dropped to about -120ish and was able to pull about 4-6mbs

My only point of this was to illustrate that coverage in Florida is going to be awesome when all the towers are completed. I want to look at the the Hillsborough portion of the Tampa market. I imagine the towers are as tightly packed there as over here

  2. I can likely get out there tomorrow maybe. Unfortunately, this pesky thing people call Christmas has me on lock down. Funny how things work out. Just a week ago you were over there mapping on the way to the beach

  3. Keep in mind that the initial launch sites may have changed for a number of reasons. It may be another. Worth a ride just to satisfy your curiosity.

The tower that is in South St Pete that is live I couldn't believe it was sending LTE all the way where it was showing on sensorly so I took a ride. Found another site was live and got the deep purple in that area. It's funny though the tower I found seems to be more of a helper to get a user to another close by tower.

  4. That would be nice. If you look at the mapping from the one off of Bell Shoals it's amazing how far it reaches to the southwest.

I have been surprised by the coverage of the few towers that are up. Just think about all the towers that are in between the active ones. WOW

  5. Any of you guys live in Clearwater? I got LTE @60 and the bridge. I did get to map it but by the time I got to 49th street the signal was dropping to unusable, so I'm assuming it was coming from the Clearwater side

  6. I'm just getting LTE here but I got a taste of the connection issues other were having. The update I believe solved all of it. My phone connects within seconds of entering a deployment area. Tonight as a test I started running CM10 and had the same experience with fast connect.

Was also able to run sensorly on 3G and have it connect to LTE and record with no issues

  7. Yay lte on Seminole too bad it don't reach my house. I'm one tower over on railroad from my drive to Colorado this past week I doubt it will reach my house. Especially after driving through sprints HQ they had spotty at best in their own state not just 4g but 3g. But all my speeds were over 13megs . the lowest was 8. Well see if railroad goes up soon

Wondering when you were gonna pop up.. Welcome to the party

  8. I have seen speed range from 4M-30M I'm happy anywhere in there to be honest. Today was the first time I was able to test inside coverage. Wasn't impressed but I also understand that we are not even close to being done yet

  9. Man I'm loving this speeds are good I'm so happy I didn't switch to T-Mobile it was worth the wait. I also want to say thank you to Robert, Feech, wildman and thoughts who have been tracking this for use for months thanks guys

Its all of us really, just think there are sites that we don't even know about. That tower was right in your backyard and you had no idea. Between all of us there maybe 4,5 6 who knows how many more we haven't seen.

  10. For you guys mapping today. If you think you are near a LTE area do a toggle. My phone was flawless today picking it up and I got comfortable. In two areas in downtown St Pete I toggled and hit a signal. Unusable but still there

  11. We drove down East Bay, went to the Home Depot on Seminole & Ulmerton and had 4GLTE even inside the Home Depot building - I updated some apps while standing in line. All the while Sensorly indicated that it was mapping & uploading data... but I don't see those updates either. Maybe it is a daily update to the map.

After HD we drove north on Seminole /Missouri to the Wal-Mart and lost 4GLTE signal on Seminole just north of East Bay. Didn't pick it up again at the house, either... correction - it's baaack....

What are you driving.. I'm in that area

  12. For everyone with the EVO LTE. I'm not sure what they did with the last update but for me running a custom a ROM I looked one second 3G next second literally it was connected to 4G no toggle either.. I officially love this phone now..
