  1. I'm more than a little miffed that Sprint sold at&t 10MHz of their PCS spectrum in my market back in 2009. We really could use another LTE carrier, it's been 6 months since LTE launched here and there are already spots where it is overloaded to the point of being useless.
  2. Last time I checked all modern Qualcomm basebands are rev b capable, sprint is still selling non LTE devices, and evdo has better coverage than LTE. I think they thought LTE was going to be the end all be all of mobile data but it hasn't been the panacea they had hoped for. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
  3. It seems kind of silly that Sprint is replacing all the ev-do hardware and not going with Rev. b.
  4. The way the channels are being auctioned would almost necessitate TDD operation. There is no guarantee that there will be sufficient frequency separation between two available channels for FDD operation and in the event that only one channel is made available in an area it will be virtually useless.
  5. He wants to know if all off the 600MHz band will be one band class on devices or if it will be a mess like 700MHz where there are multiple incompatible band classes.
  6. It's sad the other carriers are so dead set on FDD, it is not the most efficient mode for LTE. It if also possible that there will be isolated 6MHZ channels that become available with no possible paired channel for a discrete uplink. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  7. IIRC the lower bands are also allowed a higher transmit power. So the combination of lower free space path loss, better penetration of obstructions, and higher transmit power will net you a bigger advantage in real life situations.

  9. http://www.ubersignal.com/wilson-sleek-4g-five-band-cradle-signal-booster-for-2g-3g-4g-813426.html There are several designed to work with Verizon, T mobile, and AT&T lte. I've not seen any that work with sprint LTE service yet. The reviews on this one says it works with Sprint lte but the specs say otherwise. Worth experimenting.
  10. Is there no hardwired broadband available where you live?
