I've seen ALcatel Lucent using tower cranes lifting new cabinets to the top of 6 story buildings recently.

Question Will Sprint continue to use T1 or switch to fiber to the tower once NV is completed?

Ericsson already announced ( Dallas, Atlanta, San Antonio, and Houston)

I thought they were going to roll out Network Vision in Long Island at the same time frame as New York City.

All the Major cities will go LTE live before the first week of October since The IPhone 4G LTE is coming in that particular month. Sprint spent 20 billions for the rights to that phone so I don't think they want to stay behind.

Good news if you are willing to wait until the end of the year, but bad news if you are customer like me that has been experiencing terrible service for two months now in the biggest market of all New York City. If a market like Boston will take 7 months to go LTE live, I could image NYC with 1100+ sites , and a lot of crowed buildings. Its not a brained that the big cities like Boston, SF, NY, LA and Chicago will go LTE this year. The question is when. The early Evo adopters like me are coming off contract in June. This will big a big problem for Sprint with no LTE in these cities by that time.

I know clear owns Wimax and runs it, but Sprint 3G here has been worst than dial up. I can't use the 3G or 4G because both are pitiful.

How come Network Vision is active here in Manhattan when the coverage has gotten worse?. Heck even 4G Wimax has gotten worse. I used to get over 5 megabits down indoors , and now I can't get not even .50megabits.

That is great news, but I am afraid that if Apple announce an IPhone 4G LTE for June Sprint will be royally screwed. I live in NYC and it seems coverage has gotten worse. I spoke with a Sprint technician and he told me work for network vision is under way.
