  1. Found 5G coverage between 41st and 43th street on the west side (7th ave all the way down to west side hway and 2nd ave and 3rd ave between 42nd and 43rd st). Averaged btwn 150-250mb peaked around 400mbs.
  2. Looks like 5G is live on Times Sq. Speeds were nothing spectacular, but solid nontheless considering it was packed as usual.
  3. Power outage in midtown. Looks like backup generators are doing their thing since cell service has not been interupted so far.
  4. Didn't know it was dynamic, that alone justifies moving all spectrum to NR as soon as possible.
  5. Current SA NR uploads look very promising so far. Do you think NR+LTE UL ENDC would help improve at the edge signal in a meaningful way?
  6. Also to be fair, turn the corner when V attaches to 5G, the device hits over 700mbs as long as its within 200-300ft LOS from node.
  7. That's all well and fine, an unloaded tower proves very little, this is comparing two of the same devices in the same location. Its a huuuuuge win for Sprint. Chicago has a ton of folks using all networks and this clearly shows what happens when comparing them under similar circumstances.
  8. Turn the corner away from a Verizon 5G node and this is what happens, it drops to LTE and Sprint keeps a solid 5G connection.
  9. Keep in mind that Sprint is using ENDC to share LTE and 5G spectrum on 5G devices. Its quite a handy tool to balance the load. It will take a huge uptick of NEW customers to saturate the added airlink.
  10. Are they tho? Think about it for a second, its just more spectrum online, regardless if its 4G or 5G. While peak speeds on those carriers are up there, average is a whole different story. Sprint is saying 100mbs+(vs 20-30mbs on LTE) is very typical on Sprint 5G.
  11. Quote from interview with John Saw.. Four more markets -- New York, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and Phoenix -- will get 5G in the next "couple of weeks."
  12. Did you read what he wrote? Clearly losing higher orders of MIMO is a huge deal, and might not be a worthwhile trade off even more so on Band 25/26.
  13. As Tim mentioned to me earlier, there is one major downside to mixing TDD/FDD, none of these devices would support more than 2xCA while on TDD/FDD on PCC so you'd lose access to that additional capacity. Bottom line, this isn't exactly the be all end all resolution for some of these upload issues.
  14. Another M-MIMO.. On 43rd and Sixth Ave.. Beautiful shot! Courtesy of WSJ, they wrote an article about 5G deployments use of Chinese hardware. Link to article.. https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-considers-requiring-5g-equipment-for-domestic-use-be-made-outside-china-11561313072
  15. More M-MIMO This one's on 116th street and Park Ave..
