Cable Co would be the ideal partner. Watching cable companies struggle to compete against the industry as a whole, this would put them back on the map in more ways than one. Plus huge benefits from a network integration standpoint.
Backhaul and customer acquisition(from both sides) would be two huge benefits for this marriage,
The whole Tmo+Sprint thing just seems completely inefficient and a massive waste of Sprint's extensive network and efforts.

I but all the M-MIMO site we've found in NYC on a google map. Also linked to the post in this thread so you can see the photos or other details.
From my understanding they started the testing and deployment in lower Manhattan. Hopefully we can find more. Can't wait to get my hands on a 5G phone.

I've found between 20 and 30 myself. I'm trying to get a better quality pic of Sprint's own NYC M-MIMO map.
But, as you can see there looks to be over 100 in NYC alone.
Not to mention I have seen more beyond what this map is showing (in the Bronx and in BK)
All confirmed to be live.

I think I found a new small cell located at 34th and Madison. What's interesting is it seems to be broadcasting 1x800 based on how strong the signal is. It was either only broadcasting 1 carrier or it didn't have CA active yet. Was able to reach 90Mbps at around 5:30. Doesn't show up on the last Google Street view images.

Look at the BSL, your getting 1x from the west side definitely not the SC.
LTE is SC, EARFCN is dead giveaway.

Intra-band means within the same band. Don’t you guys mean Inter-band?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI should have been more clear on that, Intra meaning non-contiguous CA within the same band and inter for different band CA.

Coming where? And which devices will benefit?
Thanks
Most modern devices released 2018 and beyond support it. But who knows where, could be one city/state, county or block for all we know.

Most of the presentation is the stuff we already know about. But a couple of cool details
Over 1000 M-MIMO sites are live now!
Just waiting on final 5G NR software to be pushed
ENDC Bonded LTE/NR will allow the full 120Mhz to be used on 5G devices and still keep legacy devices up to 60Mhz of LTE
LG V50 will have a GLOWING 5G logo on the back LOL! (RGB everything life!)
**WOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!**
They also have live QnA and I posted one question,. he actually ANSWERED LIVE! Intraband CA is coming in weeks guys!!!!!!

Maybe in a world without walls mmWave would be a thing.

Can't those do more than one carrier? Only one carrier would likely be Slow.
Regardless if they are limited to single carrier they do not cover a huge area, so with Docsis backhaul they perform quite well.

For everyone that is not having these LTE data connection issues, are you liking your S10? Still like it?
For me, I still like the phone. The battery doesn't last as long as I expected (still about the same as a S8), but not bad. Also about the same reception as the S8. Fingerprint reader can be "picky" as times. Starting to notice some UI lag at times.
Other than that, love the phone. Good upgrade from an S8.
Has been awesome, smooth, fast connection, VoLTE has been great! Also, after taking off the factory screen protector, the in screen fingerprint sensor has been quite a bit faster and more accurate, still not as good as a classic one, but im good with the tradeoff.

MMS working for you? I'm not having much luck sending MMS pictures or MMS group texts.
MMS works perfectly fine on my end post update. But then again, I never had any issues.

33rd St between Madison and Park. My signal used to be between -104 to -108, after the change I am between -100 to -104 and then today I noticed my signal was even strong keeping around -98. They must still be fine tuning. I also have been hitting download speeds between 75Mbps to 150 all day at work

Most likely is M-MIMO I've seen a few new ones crop up in that area last couple of months.

The old Clear site that covered my office seems to have been replaced. This site would be offline for days almost once a month. All of last week the site was completely down. Finally came back online and stable earlier this week. SCP will display is as Sprint B41 MM or just Sprint B41. Not sure why it keeps switching but its deff not a MM site since the ##debug# menus shows 3xCA DL and 2xCA on UL. I wonder if this site could be M-MIMO
What area is it? I've spotted a couple more in Murray Hill..

Sprint has not seized the day. They would have gotten better coverage if they were first. Hopefully they launch the day of the first 5G phone release in the US that is not via an add-on.
Sprint will end up with quite a 5G coverage advantage on day one. The question is, how long will they be able to hold that.

How expensive is it to roll out mmwave? The articles I’ve read say that small cells are cheaper to rollout within dense urban markets( and at times the only option). I think the concern are suburban markets and offering 5G coverage nationwide. With about 300-400ft LOS outdoor coverage and non existent indoors penetration per site, it's probably gonna cost a buttload of money and sites to cover anything meaningful.

SK telecom has over 30k sites live with 5G. I don't think we're beating any of the big players to ubiquitous 5G.

Does anyone know what the strand-mount equipment looks like? I ask because I've got a bunch of weird GCIs in my log west of George Mason University, and I didn't spot any apparent small cells or similar. I do see boxes on poles that do not have antennas on them, and the cables seem to go up to the lines, like this one on Google Street View.

Any thoughts/pictures?

Here are some shots of engineering screen/strand mount in Oklahoma.

I have a ceramic GS10+ picked up at launch and have never experienced the issues reported by many users. Maybe just luck or maybe there might be a difference between the normal GS10 vs the ceramic ones.

No. No we don't. Wrong.
Sprint has over 56 million customers, do we need to really go down this rabbit hole?! Is Sprint perfect? Nope, is any carrier perfect!? Nope. You should go with what works for you, if Sprint was somehow not meeting my needs, I would have moved on a long time ago.
I'm not with them to save a buck, I'm still with them because the network meets my needs (and I consider myself a pretty heavy data user) and customer support has always taken care of any/all my issues.
As a plus, I personally enjoy the community Robert and gang have created here, which has been extremely educational and enjoyable.

Thinking more like Charter not Dish. Also, Sprint already has a running network, and so does Charter. I am sure that integration between those would be potentially more lucrative and organic than Tmobile completely taking down an already running network and trying to integrate.
