  1. I wonder what it'd look like if they had the backhaul all caught up to the otherwise completed sites.
  2. Cool, thanks for the update. 2-3 doesn't sound like too much, but it's better than nothing.
  3. This does not apply to my question at all. In many places cities are building out/growing and Sprints coverage is either weak or non-existent in these new growth areas. The customers are already in these locations.
  4. I think it speaks volumes to the service we currently have when people's default suggestion is to turn off the service we are paying for.
  5. I was wondering if you guys had any insight on this. I understand they're redoing the existing towers but many cities have grown since sprint last did much with the network infrastructure and the fringes are either on the edge of coverage & weak or completely outside Sprint's coverage. Will sprint ever expand in these types of areas? Any guess when?
  6. There is nothing wrong with carrying an extra battery, except you have to buy one and have it pre-charged, and most manufacturers are not making cradles that charge just the battery. I saw a pic of what was claimed to be the Note 3 without a back cover and it showed the battery - was not focused enough to show the size. Definitely made it seem like the battery would be removable. Just fyi.
  7. That is a big piece of info you left out there, bud. lol did they say anything else?
  8. To me, around 50% is not usable. Interesting comparison regarding fixed vs non-fixed though. Which other phones/companies have you compared?
  9. 1.5 days = 36 hours. Sorry for that brainbuster. Let's use a real world scenario of a Friday or Saturday for people who have a life and wouldn't be tied to a charger. Go to work, lunch, work, happy hour, out for dinner, club/bar/sporting event. Phone is easily dead before the end of the night. You have to take into account weak signal because of Sprint's admittedly spotty coverage. Sure you might be able to "access to some power source" but how much fun is that to hunt for when you're out trying to do stuff? Sorry didn't get your message cuz my phone was dead since I decided to not find a power source. I'm not quite sure why you're acting like the one appointed to determine what "most folks" need in a battery.
  10. From the article: "There are now more than 20,000 Network Vision sites on the air." & "The company said it now counts 30,000 sites that are ready for construction, are in the midst of construction or are already finished." So that means 10,000 sites currently are ready to start work while 500 - 1000 probably have work going on. -ish. Another 8-9000 are not ready :-/
  11. Ahhh the ole, "heavy use" standard. If a phone can't last 1.5 days with constant web surfing and a weak data signal the battery is not big enough, IMO.
  12. I haven't had a phone yet that the battery has lasted me for 2 years. While these future devices may be better that is a pretty big leap to take for me.
  13. That's good news. I go there a lot. Did you happen to ask them about Lincoln as well? Or does the 114 include both areas? 5-6 months for town like Omaha seems like great work.
  14. Do you guys know if there is a serious hold up in the Wichita market? I know they're about 75% done, but just wondering if something is going since that last 25% seems to be really taking some time. Pardon me if this was discussed and I missed it.
