  1. It should've been, since your hand has to touch the touch screen for it to work.
  2. The Razr,Razr Maxx, Rezound, and Droid 4 were announced to receive software updates to add global capabilities this summer. I know the Razr and Razr Maxx have already received their ICS updates, which included the global update. Not sure what the exact difference is radio-wise between those phones and the GS3. I've heard VZW's GS3 may receive the same update, but who knows, rumors are rumors.
  3. Had 2.5 hours of screen-on time yesterday after 18 hours on battery and still had around 33% left. Definitely liking the battery life over my E4GT.
  4. Thanks for the update. I see all my towers on the map (past due). I did notice within the last 3 or 4 days that i'm now connecting with eHRPD though, so they're making progress at least.
  5. Same here. Just got my Galaxy S III (from E4GT) and i'm getting crazy fast 3G now and much lower latency. The sites i'm connected to are marked as NV complete for 3G only.
  6. As far as i'm aware, there is no "minimum" donation amount to become a sponsor, just FYI. If all you can afford is a dollar or five dollars, i'm sure they'd appreciate it.
  7. That's good to know. Interested in seeing how it compares to the Epic 4G Touch.
  8. Good deal, thanks for that info!
  9. Happen to have a list of those towns or can tell me if Rensselaer, IN is one of them?
  10. Is there any better range on an LTE link versus EVDO?
  11. Yeah, I saw the towers on the NV map for completed sites. Just wondering what they would've done last year that killed the signal so much. It actually got so bad I was bouncing from Sprint to roam, which prompted getting the Airave. Had a nice solid signal for so many years. I think the NV upgrades helped the signal just enough to allow it not to not have to roam anymore Oh well
  12. Trying to figure something out. I used to have a great Sprint signal here (Rensselaer, IN), 3G at around -74 to -86 dbm. Around a year ago or so, my signal tanked, lucky to have 2 bars, usually 1 or nothing. I had to get an Airave to have reliable service at home. Fast forward to March 2012, I noticed the native Sprint signal was once again strong, and I was pulling up to 2 Mb down (no better than 1.2 before). The strong signal lasted maybe a week, then poof, back to crap, but could still pull almost 2 meg down if I found enough signal. I'm about 5 miles from the tower. When LTE comes, will the range be any better than EVDO, or will it not improve until LTE 800 comes? I do see all the sites in my area have been upgraded to NV for 3G.
  13. Lafayette, IN has had 4G WiMax for well over a year and I don't see the coverage on any of Sprint or Clear's maps. The coverage is VERY spotty, but i'm down there every weekend and I can always get a 4G signal in certain areas. On average, it's barely faster than 3G.
  14. I think I may have confused you. I have decent coverage currently with Sprint 3G, my question was referring to closing the gaps in LTE coverage along I-65 between the 2 NV projects after they are finished. Like I said, we are covered with Sprint 3G right now, but will be just a little out of reach of LTE according to the Chicago and Indy NV maps when they launch. Just wondering how soon we could expect them to convert these remaining cell sites to NV that are along I-65 between the Chicago and Indy NV projects, as I live in a 5k pop town about a mile off 65 (Rensselaer, IN).
  15. Is there any info on when they'll cover the gaps between the Chicago NV and Indy NV projects along I-65? It's times like this I wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere. Sadly, Verizon is about to expand LTE to my area very soon, and the only thing keeping me with Sprint is unlimited data. Not sure I can hold out another year if that's what it's going to take for NV to reach here. 3G is pretty abysmal lately.
