Hey guys,
I actually have been working on an app called SignalCheck that does this. Robert has been beta testing it for me over the past few months and gave me permission to promote it here on S4GRU.. I haven't had a chance to post about it here, it's funny that people have just started talking about it over the past few days! I started developing it last October, and released it to the public on Google Play a couple of weeks ago.
I started a thread about it here: http://s4gru.com/ind...hs-all-at-once/
I am aware of the new features in Android 4.2 and I'm currently working on adding them in.. specifically the identity of LTE cells.
I have been trying to educate myself as much as possible regarding cellular technologies so that this app is as technologically correct as possible. I see a mention of SNR above; it appears my app might be reporting values 10x too high as well. If someone could confirm this for me, the code changes would be easy for me to implement.
To keep things on-topic, if you have any questions about my app, reply in the other thread. I'd be more than happy to participate in the programming aspect of things in this thread.
Thanks,
-Mike
EDIT: I just uploaded a new version with the LTE SNR corrected, as well as LTE cell info for Android 4.2 users.. it will probably take an hour or so before it shows up on Google Play. I probably jumped the gun a bit on the LTE cell info since I do not have a 4.2 device to test it on, so hopefully one of you guys can let me know if it crashes or not!
It's crashing on 4.1.1, sent in a report

Except at my house... where they are too lazy to get out of the truck. Watch the truck zoom by the house on the cameras and the guy never stops since he assumes no one is home with no cars there, track the package and it says delivery attempt or whatever. Then I end up having to go an hour round trip to their office on the other side of town. No thanks. As long as they have the same lazy driver that throws packages at your door for my area, I'm not ordering from a company that ships FedEx.
Or are they too scared?

I think 009 had the Puerto Rico stuff in it unless you had mine earlier.
Anyways though the 55xxx and 56xxx was delayed.

Not my fault, we at FedEx delivered on time.

Not it hasn't. 55xxx and 56xxx were just updated a few days ago.

That's funny because I got the PRL when the Puerto Rico Market was announced back in November.25010 that is.

Have you tried this app yet?

Sensorly is showing some very HOT LTE to the NW of Dulles airport on Old Ox Rd. Looks like some new LTE there.
I'll take a little drive sometime next weekend to map out the area to see how it is. Weird work schedule this week and last.

The retuned around Herndon, you will notice some new points going thru a neighborhood that I did on Sensorly. Soon as I step outside the door at home. 4g symbol lights up.

*Looks at AMD Anthlon X64 CPU's performance, price, TDP, low temperatures, good overclocking*
XD
I'll guess I will still keep with my Intel I7-3770K which has a tdp of only 77 watts at stock speeds up to 3.9 ghz.

Which features? Certainly not 4x4 MIMO, and probably not even CA.
Robert
Something that InterDigital has in there portfolio. RIM expanded there licenses to cover LTE-Advance with them.

Insiders tell me the announcement of a 100 Billion Dollar donation will be made.
Monopoly money doesn't count.

There is some upcoming models that will be announced on January 30th by RIM in which they will have LTE-Advanced specs In them. BB10 phones will have the abilities for LTE-Advanced.

Look at the non contract prices of the 4, and you will find out that Sprint prices it at MSRP and the other 3 have a markup starting at $50 to $100 depending on which device. Radio Shack and Best Buy mark it up to $150 above msrp.

Anyone starts talking about taking over Amateur Radio frequencies and you will have a Volvo tractor to deal with.

Exactly I ran a speedtest in H Town near the outlets driving by at 65 mph and pulled 22mbps download without breaking a sweat. Just need these people to get closer to Frederick and fill us in!!
Frederick is part of the Sprint's DC market, not part of ShenTel's network.

SERO was abused big time and still is today. It was really for Sprint Employees and there family members and it went way out of control. Oh by the way, My discount because I work with FedEx brings me no where what a SERO customer pays per month. My discount is 23%.

How often is that an issue with the SIM simply being dirty and not bad? We see it fairly often in my S&R location with iPhone's coming in with "No SIM" errors. We take the card out, clean the contacts with some denatured alcohol, pop it back in, and voila! it works. I'm 99% certain that many retail reps don't bother to take the time to triage issues, and those in S&R locations are at an advantage in that regard with the techs. Even then though I know from experience in the IT side of businesses (Not just Sprint), many that work in IT have no place being there, the vast majority have the credentials and such, but many do not have any simple common sense. Others don't even have the credentials or the will to learn and are a lost cause.
You do know the difference between a SIM error which is what you are describing and a SIM failure don't ya?

There is a difference between Molly and moly, Molly= ma-lee, Moly= mow-lee. To use it context, Good Golly, Miss Molly.

Watch out for what you wish for. Here is something to think about? How many VZW customers had to have replacement SIM's sent to them because they are malfunctioning? You see loads of threads on other forums about it.

What's happening in this market no new news since a long time. And rockville Bethesda in the dark. There has not been new news since weeks.
Probably holiday down time. The weather hasn't been exactly cooperating around here either.

My wife has reported on two separate occasions in the last week that she has picked up LTE at work in Chantilly, VA.
Yeah I would say it is a possibility that she has.
