  1. There is also a couple of SDR's models that are Ham gear also. But they are hf and hf to vhf. There are actually 2 devices that Sprint has to Cover 3g/Wimax/LTE. 1 is mentioned above and the other is a USB dongle.

  2. For those that want to get there msl, in the playstore there is a app called get my msl. Install it, go to phone dialer type ##3282# select edit and type 222222 which will give you a wrong code error leave phone dialer, start get my msl and hit the button. It works on the Note 2.

  3. Now here is the thing he should have done. That is a JLG 125 foot man lift. If the motor had quit on that, person on the ground go to the panel, hit the red emergency switch, which would operate the lift using battery power to safely lower it to the ground. When I was working for United Rentals delivering equipment like that, I also taught them what to do in case of emergency along with teaching them how to normally operate the lift in which we have the customer sign off on it to.

I really hope you can get a pic. According to AirTran's route map, they don't fly into Dulles. But since you did say Charter flights (which I looked into and no metion of 757's) the couriosity is killing me.

Could be contractor flying under AirTrans colors , not hard identifying a 757 from the other regional jets.

  5. Where in the heck did he get his info at about AirTran? Bigsnake is correct. They only have 717's and 737's. I flew on both of them 2 years ago and from MSP to ATL to RDU and back. I thought the 717 wasn't too bad. I am pretty sure AirTran never had 757's.

Then you never been to Dulles where AirTrans does fly 757's into. They are used for Charters and parked near the Landmark Service area.

  6. Fed Ex gives away their 727 ships to Airport Fire Departments for training. Really is a great program, that not only the airport department benefits from, but other area rescue agencies. Police use them as well.

I believe fed ex is not phasing out the MD11, but anything bought new is 757+ I know that the Airbus planes are going to the grave yard. Fuel savings alone pays for new planes.

They are saying up to a 20 to 30 percent savings in fuel with the new planes. The 777's are replacing the MD-11's in the long routes.

  7. We are phasing out our 727's, A300's , A310's, MD-10's amd MD-11's and replacing them with 757's and 767's and the 777's we have are being used for international routes.

AirTran only flies Boeing 737 and 717 and they will get rid of the 717s.

There is no such aircraft as a Boeing 717. It starts like this 707, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, and finally 787 then you have the McDonnell Douglas Merger which brings into play MD-90's , MD-10's AND MD-11' s. AirTrans has MD-90's and 757's and then there are the smaller jets which are Embraer's. There are also some Airbus 319's also.

The grey hairs popping up around my sideburns and the beer may take care of the "white streak" and "balance" requirements, respectively.

    ;)

It must be a white streak going down the middle of your head. Gray sideburns are just a sign of aging and can be dealt with.

Man, oh, man, have I got some cleaning to do then. My house has stray electronics here, there, and everywhere. Bedrooms, kitchens, chairs, tables. When I wake up in the morning, both my house and my hair fit the bill of the mad scientist.

    :P

To get the mad scientist moniker, you must have a white streak of hair from all the electrical shocks that you have received from touching live bare electrodes producing kilo volts of power but not enough amperage to kill you, just make you slightly off balance.

  11. I have been on Sprint since December 6th, 1996. I plan on going nowhere and I'm patient enough to wait out any changes to the network. Started out with a Ericsson on Sprint Spectrum then was switched to PCS, and received a Sanyo 4700,4900,7500, then went to the Nextel side for a while with the 300 series and the 670, then the IC402 and the i8350, then came back to PCS with the Palm Centro, then the Instinct, and the Palm Pre, then the EVO 4g and the 9930 and the the EVO 4G LTE, up to my latest with the Galaxy S3. Have been on AT&T, and VZW, and TMobile for work and a Nokia N97 that I won, but I have always stayed with Sprint.
