For Galaxy Forever how is this going to work since none of us has had the S8 even 12 months yet?

I pre-ordered with galaxy forever, no issues.  When you get the s9 they should also send you a return label for the s8.

I have a friend who went to MWC and she played with the S9. Her comments were it felt cheap which has me a little worried, I hope that isn't the case. But then again she worked at Nokia who built solid phones. I guess only time will tell.

Worried for what? It's the same build quality as the s8 which was put together very well.

  3. Can't wait for all the pre-order complaints about I should have ordered through samsung or I should have ordered through sprint or why my status hasn't updated yet on the sprint website.....etc. Every year its the same thing, LOL. I find it hilarious.

Sprint data is unusable right now..

can’t even stream from apple music without buffering. Hope this thing gets better because is annoying!!

Well st thomas literally just got sprint service restored this past friday after 5 months so it could be worse.  Service is actually much better now since there was a mass exodus of sprint customers to at&t so the towers aren't quite as flooded as they use to be, lol.

    Mostly done.

Triband (750, 1900,2500) sites will  be getting deployed once the cleanup from the hurricane mess is completed.

Hopefully this includes deployment in the VI as well. Had to give in and port one of my lines over to att so I can at least get half decent service. Sprint really lagging behind compared to att here on the island.

Anybody knows when exactly our devices will see this bandwidth increase?

I don't know but hopefully soon. Here in the VI, sprint customers are breaking down the doors to att trying to switch over to them because att has made quite the progress compared to sprint since "irmaria". So when sprint comes back up the network should be wide open compared to a few months ago so more bandwidth for me, lol.

It seems like that..! or maybe  Prwireless  by Sprint

Well hopefully things will improve, here in the VI sprint is getting crushed by att and viya which is the local carrier. And since the hurricanes I know sprint has lost a significant amount of subscribers in the territory since they seem to be lagging behind big time compared to the other 2 carriers when it comes to network repairs.

All you people who successfully registered into the Beta program and have downloaded the software, are you guys on the Sprint GS8/GS8+?  Is anyone on the 955U1 Unlocked Model?

I made it into registration but my 955U1 GS8+ doesn't find the Beta update.  I tried restarting the phone already.  I got in around 10:15 AM PST.

I'm on the sprint model as well.

Its been crazy here in PR, since Hurricane Maria hit us. 12 days without service, no power, no water, no internet, no local tv channels, a complete blackout on communications. Gas station lines are hours long, few food spots with limited menu's, only cellphone provider up its Claro and very spotty, they agree to bring roam to tmobile and att.

On the sprint side, we don't have any info, if someone here can bring some light or news on repair time will be great. Things don't looks good.

Well over here on St Thomas it's been like this since September 6th, so welcome to the club.

  10. TBH, I haven't even looked at the capability of the Snapdragon 845 or whatever it is that's in the Note 8...

I assume that it's HPUE capable, and has 2CA up and down?

If I'm understanding the CA correctly, current devices are 2x CA on downlink, and 1x CA on uplink?

I thought I saw somewhere that the 845 does do 2CA uplink and downlink, but i could be wrong.

I'm sure someone who knows for sure will chime in...

The US model has the snapdragon 835
  11. My home button has been intermittently going off and on for the last day. At first it wouldn't respond at all and I finally got it to work by booting it into the diagnostic startup screen, then booting normally. Now every once in a while it just doesn't respond at all for min at a time. Anyone else come across anything like that?

    Haven't experienced anything like that.

  12. I am still glad I went directly through Samsung. Unlocked version and should still beat BB. The last couple devices have been a nightmare at BB so not spending half a day in the store will be worth what ever timing works out.

My freebies are listed to ship with the phone so there is that too. Not waiting 6 weeks for the add ons.

Actually that is a very good point.
  13. To my knowledge this is the 1st time that they have claimed that they would have priority shipping.

Since they are ultimately in charge they should be able to manage that.

How about you check the s8 thread, anyway I am sure it's a lesson learned. If you pre-order do so with your carrier.

  14. As much as I really want to get this thing ASAP if the carriers ship before Samsung directly that is garbage. The Note 7 promo specifically says priority shipping so you get it first.

No reason to include that if the carriers are going to ship 1st and they had no way to match the offer.

Why is it garbage? Is this anything new?  Carriers will almost always ship first.  I mean think about every major android release over the last several years and tell me when an OEM shipped anything to customers before the carriers did(specifically in the US).
