  1. As long as they start who cares which tower they start on. As far as att speeds, I have seen an average of about 9mbps to around 14mbps. Hopefully it will be on by the time I get back.
  2. I am still trying to figure out where the salesman went wrong.
  3. Oh ok great, hopefully they will get through by the end of this week then head over to st. thomas to finish up.
  4. Are you talking about the site north west of the airport or the site north east of carambola?
  5. I think its just two thats been accepted, what loverrez is talking about is the same western tower.
  6. That is great considering the absolute fastest speeds you can get in the VI from any available ISP is 5 mbps(if your lucky) at ridiculous prices.
  7. I almost laughed when I read about the Max having an s4pro, not a chance in hell. I don't know how they could report some nonsense like that.
  8. Sdcard support would be nice but I can live without it if it has 32 to 64 gb of internal memory. More important to me though is the battery capacity and the fact that it needs to have note like features and not just be a larger One. Oh and of course tri-band support, LOL.
  9. Both towers on Vieques and the one on Culebra have been updated to lte unless there is some sort of outage related to the storm from last week, I don't know, may be some of the PR guys can chime in about service issues.
  10. The reason why samsung does so well is because of their advertising budget and thats basically it. When was the last time you saw a galaxy add that spoke about sd cards and removable batteries? You don't because those are things the average person really does not care about, if that was the case then samsung would be owning apple all these years. Its all about showing consumers what these devices can actually do and how owning these devices can make your life easier. Apple(love them or hate them) knows how to market a product, samsung not so much until they started their "the next big thing is already here" marketing campaign with the gs3. The opinions of tech blogs(which most seem to favor the One ) doesn't count because they are not part of the average everyday customer pool. If you go to your local mall and randomly select 100 people to look at both the One and the gs4 maybe a few if any of them at all will ask anything about an sd card or removable battery. Anyone can create a pro or a con to help persuade a customer to go to either device, thats just salesmanship but when these customers are sitting at home watching tv and they see numerous commercials about these galaxy devices and how it does things the iphone can't then more than likely they will be asking for that galaxy device when they go looking for a new smartphone. If htc or any other android oem had that kind of marketing budget samsung would have never gotten such a huge lead.
  11. The sim tray is on the side, no reason why they can't design the One max to do the same with an sd card slot. Also htc sales issues had nothing to do with lack of removable batteries or lack of sd card support. Sure there are some that didn't buy the device because of it but there are others that didn't by the gs4 because of how cheap it felt in comparison to the one so at the end of the day there is no way to really measure something thats really not that important to the general populous. Oh, and htc's front facing speakers should be standard on all phones, way better than any other area of the phone but of course the downside is it makes the device taller but I think that is a worthwhile trade off.
  12. The iphone 5 is still retaining quite a bit of its value. You can probably sell your iphone 5 and just pay the difference for a 5s unsubsidised and keep your upgrade or sell the iphone 5, use your upgrade and still have a couple hundred left over for something else.
  13. Not really, the iphone 5c probably has a larger profit margin so they will make more money off of selling the iphone 5c at $99 on contract compared to the 5 at the same price. Makes perfect sense to me.
  14. Really? Give me one example of any android oem officially announcing a product and it being released in lest than a month anywhere(with maybe the exception of anything nexus)? There may be a few but definitely not in under two weeks.
  15. This is the one thing I absolutely love about apple, they announce a product and in less than two weeks its available to the masses unlike every other android oem who announces a product then take an addition month or two(if not longer) to reach the masses.
  16. Well that one site has already been accepted by sprint which is a good thing. Maybe they are working on the rest then will flip the switch all at once but at least we know progress is being made.
  17. Nothing on St. Thomas as yet but there is one tower on St. Croix with lte so far.
  18. Not sure about a tmobile optimus g but I agree. So do you think that the nexus 5 will only be available from the playstore?
  19. I have had this happen to me on a few rare occasions but never on a consistent basis.
  20. Good point, but couldn't sprint offer the nexus at the same $199 on contract as the lg? Didn't tmobile do the same thing with the nexus 4 where in store the off contract price was 550 or subsidized at $199 even though you could have gotten it straight from the play store for $300-$350?
