  1. Thanks, but I was being serious :/

I seen the M8 vibrate in person and it's pretty loud. I'd say louder than the M7 and way way louder than my S5.

I'm like you, I miss a lot of SMS/Calls because I had that problem. The S5's vibration is pretty weak. The M8 is pretty good. My gf has the M8

  2. I use a tiny bit of data on Sprint in this city. I rarely use my GS5 here because of the terrible service we have. When I do use it it's at most 25MB of data in a day lmao. On T Mobile on my Nexus 5 I easily average 7-12GB of LTE and not downloading anything a month. When I travel or go out of the city a lot during the week my data is from 3-8GB a month.

If I downloaded huge files and constantly watched movies on my phone my usage would be higher. I listen to pandora here and there on my phones because I just connect my ipod. Can't stand watching movies on a cell phone.. Would rather wait until I'm home and watch it with a surround sound and large big screen.

  3. i can confirm the acceptance report for the 580/680 interchange and surrounding area being cluster launched 1X/LTE 1900. My tri-band was able to pick up LTE in that area. Only areas left untouched are SF and SJ. I am curious if we will see a big cluster launch, including LTE 800, in the next couple of months in those areas.

    Most likely.

    LG G3

It's just the cosmetics, not the actual code. G2 is essentially lag free compared to the S4/S5 (although I haven't seen s5 lag, I hear it is there.)

    Sent from my LG-LS980

Yup. My S5 lags here and there.

The battery in the G2 is better too. My sister has the G2 and on the same usage her phone has higher battery than mine.

  4. I don't want to beat a dead horse but the last day of Summer is September 21st. That's 5 months away. Do you think California will be done with NV 1.0 by then?

    No way.

It'll be done when it will. This market and ALL of California has had so many delays and issues that pushed back the timeline tremendously.

By the end of summer, Sept 21 I expect this market and/or majority of California to be majority (80-90%) finished. Don't see California being 100% finished with NV 1.0 in 5 months.

Just check out the progress made in the SF Bay, South Bay, North LA, Orange County, Metro LA, Riverside/SB, San Diego, UCV, and LCV markets. A whole of work left to do in California's 9 markets.

  5. The hangout update makes it better. I like thew new contacts layout on my N5 and especially the merged contacts. It was one of the main reasons I avoided hangouts for the longest time. Next they gotta fix the voicemail issues with Hangouts. Super annoying.

Still not up there to the default Samsung messaging app and not yet on the level of iMessage. Certainly not on the level of WhatsApp either.

  6. So I went to NYC this weekend and I kept a close eye on my phone in various different areas but at no point did my phone connect to any Band 41. I tried doing a PRL update after I got into the city just in case but still didn't see anything. Is there anything special that needs to be done to obtain B41 on the M8?

Be close to a clearwire tower and hope it has gone live. So far my B41 experience on my N5 and S5 are a hit or a miss.

If you are close to a live tower and all the upgrades have been done with super strong signal you're going to have the fastest LTE speeds possible. If you move a block or two in any direction you can see your speeds go from 70+ Mbps to 50, 30, 20, etc. better be sure not move and stay in that spot haha

If the upgrade hasn't been done you'll connect to B41 then be kicked off right away. B41 where it works it's damn good. Where it doesn't and you're trying to connect to any B41 site it's a huge pain.

  7. It was more so with my last phone. The M8 has seemed to help, but i am still stuck in 3g.

Yeah I'm on 3G there most of the time with my Nexus 5 and Galaxy S5. The towers there need to be 3G upgraded asap for tri-band users.

On my old S3 I was on good LTE connection for majority of the time.
