  1. Been reading as much info as I can, but just so I understand correctly, can anyone tell me if the network vision work in our market will progress any further than 46% LTE? Or are we all done? Sent from my SPH-L720T using Tapatalk
  2. Got the update this morning. Smooth sailing so far.
  3. Just to contribute to the poll of who is also waiting, nothing yet here....
  4. Did this plan change as far as Band 26 goes? Its been 10 weeks shy of a year since this post and I haven't seen any 800 lte yet..... anywhere, actually.
  5. Yup, I second this. Even when sports books asked you not to use your phones I never had any signal problems. Now all they ask is that you're not on your phone while in line to the counter and my connection has always been great.
  6. I'm hopeful this mean 800lte will show up soon. At my house, my mom's, and my girlfriends house, I have to set my phone to 3g only because my phone will try and grab a faint, unusable lte signal every min before switching back to (equally unusable) 3g. When my phone is in this state of Flux every min it doesn't allow for calls or texts until it's done with this charade.
  7. Picked up band 41 at work today for the first time, telephone and market-ish area in Ventura.
  8. Good to know that there is at least some movement though, encouraging nonetheless.
  9. When is that 800 deployment going to happen.... Again? Refresh my memory, does it have any kind of timeline?
  10. If I upgraded now to a tri band phone, would I have any csfb issues in this area?
  11. Does anyone know if our North LA region has any band 26 or 41 yet? I'm thinking about getting a tri band phone but don't know if it would be of any benefit to me at this time or if I should just wait until further down the line?
  12. In woodbridge I can pick up a faint bar of lte if im outside, but inside I don't get a strong enough signal. My phone still struggles to get any sprint reception whasoever indoors at home. Im HOPEFUL that 800 will help me on both fronts (data and voice) but Im not so sure if it will yet. From my experience in the valley if my phone has even the slightest, faintest, tiniest, miniscule bit of reception, it doesn't want to pick up 800. My unusably faint sprint signal at home will probably keep my phone from kicking over to 800 me thinks. I wish the threshold would be raised a little bit to an unusable level of reception causing the switch, instead of having to have no signal whatsoever.
  13. I usually check this, before I check this thread. 12%
  14. Ive tried to read up/keep up on this thread as best I can, but I cant seem to find any info about something that I recently noticed that had happened to me. On two separate occasions now my phone has fallen back to an "X" with no bars and reported "Searching for service" as opposed to having switched to 800, or even roaming. First time I was in a warehouse in Chatsworth CA at the corner of Nordhoff and De Soto. I noticed the signal drop to nothing, show an "X" and then after a minute it picked up 800 and signal check jingled me as such to let me know. It showed 3 bars in signal check on my notification bar, stayed for about 30 seconds, and then went back to the "X", with 800 never again to return until I left the area and normal 1900 had returned. The second time was yesterday at Universal Studios Hollywood inside of the Jurassic Café next to the Jurassic Park Ride. Same thing as last time, it fell back to no signal, 800 popped up for a minute, I sent a few texts out and receieved them also with it showing this time 5/6 bars in signal check before jumping back to the "X". I also now have a different GS4 than I did when I had noticed this the first time. Does my PRL just prioritize 1900 that much that it wont even accept 800 and stay with it?
  15. I don't think Im able to follow your links if Im not a sponsor, correct? I assume you had meant the link that says "where your market stands?"
  16. Oh yes, of course, I do profile and prl updates daily. In fact that's how I get my phone to pick up 4G when I get to work, otherwise it stays on 3g. I'm not the only one in the area I live in that doesn't have working data who is on sprint, I know of at least 3 neighbors in the same boat, one of them is actually the person who told me to try t mobile. I believe the towers just need to be fully upgraded but haven't been yet, otherwise why would it happen to me in just a few areas, and not in others. My work is great, full 4G lte and upgraded 3g that work amazingly, my home area just doesn't have the perks yet.
  17. At home I lose signal, the other places I referenced are when I lose any kind of data.
  18. I'm kinda halfway between Johnson and the barranca, on parakeet court. When I walk out of my house and head toward Johnson I can make a call, but still no data. Speedtests turn up "network communication issues" I cant pick up data until I head down telephone towards Victoria in front of Pacific Oaks credit union, and then when I get to Victoria data dies again at the intersection of Victoria and telephone.
  19. We got one when we first moved in, and it was worse than the reception we were dealing with, calls wouldn't connect and we would get voice mail notifications without our phones even ringing, so we sent it back and just did our best. My fiancé moved on from sprint to straight talk when her contact expired (AT&T towers) and she couldn't be happier.
  20. Yea I'm in Woodbridge at Johnson and Ralston. I don't get any signal at home, at all. It holds onto a zero bar signal for deal life and doesn't allow me roam either. I was hopeful that the 800mhz would help my problem but to tell the truth I'm just tired of waiting and paying a hundred dollar bill every month for a phone that I can't use for 14 hours out of the day.
  21. I'm just doing a couple week trial run, see how it performs where I live, work, play, and travel and take it from there. I haven't left sprint yet, but if t mobile is going to pay my etf back to me there's nothing keeping me from exploring other options anymore.
  22. I haven't gotten anything. I don't know if that text is specific to your "area" or North LA in general, but I don't think hey could be "done" unless they aren't adding upgrades to every tower after all. I still don't have any lte where I live, or at my family's house in South Oxnard, that being said I am going to give t mobile a two week try and see how it goes.
  23. Awesome, Tapatalk notifications... Back on!
  24. In Woodbridge I can't even get a signal.... Period, unless I'm roaming. If my phone is holding onto some unusable sprint signal (like it always does) I can't make a call or send a text. I'm hoping 800 can help me at home.
