  1. I am in the Atascocita, Texas area and I have a question regarding a tower.  The tower is on a map of sites that Nobius compiled and the Site ID is xxxxxxxxx.  This tower is close to where I live but I don't see it listed on the main NV roll-out maps nor does it appear on the Sprint network website.  Is it possible that this tower is going out of service (77346 zip code Atascocita Road and Timber Forrest is about where the tower is located)?

    Thanks

If it is not on the NV list, then it is most likely Legacy still, or yet to be confirmed NV upgraded. Try taking some pictures, of the site, and sprint equipment. Here is a great place to start to learn about what to look for : http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/2902-how-to-spot-sprint-antennas-and-rrus-ericsson-style/

Also Make sure to edit the site ID. Those can only be in sponsor areas. Just a heads up, so you don't get in trouble. But you are new so I am sure it was a mistake

  2. Who poor? Some people houses or apts can't accept internet or maybe the person has other responsibilities other than that. I'm on T-Mobile now and DL at 20+ constantly even peak hours on guess what unlimited so your statement is flawed bro.

Yeah but when you have every one trying to use their mobile data connections as a substitute for home internet, then you have serious issues. It only takes a few data hogs trying to cheap the system, to cause congestion. If they need Internet, they can buy the hot spots and pay for it the right way.

  3. Until channel 51 is gone they won't be able to use the A block in these areas:

    DTV-Channel-51-Contours1.jpg

They wont get ride of channel 51 in East Texas, I don't believe, our local NBC affiliate, owns the FOX 51 in Tyler,so They use it to have news on at more than morning midday, 5,6, and 10pm. Now they get a 9pm, and another slot to show news. So if it is like that in other markets than have fun Tmo

  4. I almost got the chance to squeeze the pricing out of a best buy mobile employee, Darn. I am calling up at 10 and hope to find out the pricing. This would be a great oppurtunity for me to get a nexus 5, or LG g2, Thank goodness I am a Student still

  5. Just as a curiosity, but if a large number of people joined and used the fcc app on top of the other popular speed test apps, isnt that going to cripple some markets even more, and aren't there more facyors than just those explained that need to be included for more accurate data? Such as signal, location, interference and such? Not ssying its a bad idea but a move in the right direction. Curious about factors that wont be seen causing skewed data

  6. Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere but I'm looking to buy and android tablet for a friend of mine and I was wondering if I could get some suggestions on which one to get. I'm and iOS guy so I'm really not that familiar with them.

If I'm correct it goes to the Nexus or galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition(when it's out). For functionality the note 10.1 is a great tablet for school, work, and even everyday use
  7. I live in an area that has great Verizon coverage according to their maps, also great AT&T coverage.

But of course the maps are both wrong with these carriers. T-Mobile's is a little ambitious, but more realistic.

Sprint's is more realistic, especially since they updated their maps a few months ago removing many square miles of coverage here in WA.

People do pay a premium for Verizon cell service, for a better coverage area.

I can say all of them over estimate their coverage. I notice once sprint updated the maps with LTE in my area, the coverage grew, but They can not accurately tell where a dead spot is without going to most locations. But they widened the coverage a few miles out, which I wonder if they are saying that will be what LTE will look like after everything is done, including 800LTE?

  8. Hey guys, I have been watching videos of sprints LTE speeds for about a year now. I don't have an LTE capable device, so I am just curious. What are some of your fastest speeds on LTE?

I get anywherefrom 10-38 daily, depending on how far I am away. Usually around 105-120 it is equivalent to 3g, sometimes slower, but that is extreme edge cell signal.
